Hw old is ur LO? If below 3 months n not over fed then its normal bt make sure that you bulb well after each feeds. Other mamas will chuck mouth.

Goodmrng my people . It's av tay I visited dis thread oooooo. A lot has happened for good and I give God all the glory.

Ehen, I have been delivered since June of two baby boys (whoop! Whoop!).
My water started leaking d day I clocked 30 weeks, it ws managed in a hosp and babies were brought out @31weeks 4 days. We stayed in SCBU for 3 weeks and were discharged home. Babies and mama are doyin fabulously well.

@captain britneystacy and other team members, sorry av been MIA. But m back and better.
Team August for easy delivery in Jesus name.

You pump half of what he needs. After taking that, you transfer him to your breast. That way he will be satisfied and you won't miss out on bonding.

Tnx dearie, I think I will try it the other way round. Like introducing breast while he is desperate n then bottle wen he rejects breast b4 he will fall asleep after bottle feeding n I will be left out on feeling him.

I used infacol but it did not work.

I head grip water causes jedijedi because of d swtness. So I was advised 2 use NOSPAMIN it worked 4 me n we r still on it. God help us n our LO.

What I do whenever he starts falling asleep on the boob is to blow air on his face and he wakes up to continue, I also maintain eye contact. Try expressing the milk more often so your supply doesn't go down even if you don't have constant light to have it freezed! You can express and pour away whatever he couldn't finish, that's the beauty of breast milk unlike formula Na cry I dey cry each time my son no finish the one I prepared, it cost money which bm doesn't.

One of d methods to put him to sleep is blowing air on his face. Dat will definitely not work for us. I'll try dat of eyes contact. I'll express as well. Tnx a bunch.

So i go dey this toilet for one hour until she will be forced to pet Hansel back to sleep.

I sha envy you my dear. Bt go n feed dat boy abeg Hw I wish I'm in your shoes ryt nw because my son can sleep for Africa n hardly hv time to such except bottle feeding. Once d bobby enters his mouth d next thing is sleep because he sees sucking n holding unto bobby stressful.

This calls for help because my bobby is gradually warning out.
It really breaks my hrt.

I don't know what drug was prescribed bt is it really a paediatrician that prescribed it? if yes then pls before giving ur baby d drug, discuss ur worries wt him/her. Actually, most paediatric dosages are calculated based on weight nt necessarily age. Its very impt to trust /hv confidence in ur Dr. if that is lost, may b tym to change Dr.

Hmm I administered d overdose drugs for 6days b4 a visitor informed me. My baby's weight is not even d reason as we r still working on it. God is my eva present help ooo.

5ml is a lot for a baby that age. Some meds prescribed for babies that age are as little as 0.25ml.

Neurofen for example is 2.5ml for any baby less than 6 months.

Do you mind sharing the name of the drug that was prescribed? Is it an antibiotic? What is the purpose of the drug? Is your baby really ill to warrant the doctor prescribing an higher dose?

I'm aware of cases where doctors prescribe a dose lower than what's stated on the leaflet. It's all down to the experience of the Doctor/the ailment that's being treated and its severity.

It's JAWACLOX n IBUPROFEN SYRUP.

Please Go with the leaflet! If they dont have a dose for a baby of your child's age. 5ml could easily be an overdose for your baby. Also Please go back to the peadiatrician and querie his/her prescription or see another one for a second opinion.

But always go with manufaturers doses as that is what your doctor ahould be following as well.

Sabi mamas, between ur pediatrician n leaflets prescription which shud one go wt? My pediatrician prescribed 5ml for my less dan one month old baby while on d leaflet 5ml is for 2years-7years.

lol, e no easy at all. @ginababy how old is ur bobo. I dont think it s a problem if he s less than 3 months. Most babies hv some form of reflux. My Ds also had it too. BM will come out from both nose and mouth, even before I had the chance to burp him. bt he has outgrown it nw. U can still see a paed for proper examination and to put ur mind at rest. All d best.
