A distraught Nigerian man in a bid to keep friends updated with happenings in his relationship, announced that he dumped his girlfriend of 5 years after discovering she has a secret son.

Fumlack Kingsley George also accused his girlfriend of cheating while they were dating, and further stated that he had no choice but to break up with her. Sharing a photo of the man his girlfriend of five years was cheating on him with, he wrote;

Barrister Emmanuel Emeka Agundu, the branch chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Obollo Afor, Enugu State, was allegedly killed for withholding N18m internet fraud proceeds belonging to a fraudster Kenechukwu Eze and his gang.

The revelation was made on Wednesday when the Enugu State Police Command paraded 33 suspects for their alleged involvement in criminal activities carried out in different locations in the state.

The state Commissioner of Police, Balarabe Suleiman, said Eze and his group shot and killed Agundu on September 2, 2018, and he was arrested on July 10, 2019. .

In an interview with newsmen, the 39-year-old member of a five-man gang of Internet fraudsters based in Morocco, revealed the N18 was paid by their victim (maga) into Agundu’s Nigerian bank account.

He said as a fellow member of the group, Agundu’s job was to supply the account the money would be paid into, however, after receiving the payment, he refused to make it available for sharing according to their agreed formula.

The suspect added that the deceased started threatening to report the matter to security agents and that was why the remaining members of the group decided to terminate his life.

At around 8:15pm on 16/07/19, a mini gas plant, name (AFO) in Auchi Edo state, exploded, the fire was on for more than An hour, before the Auchi polytechnic fire service came as rescue, it was gathered that no life was lost, this happened as a result of communizing important things.

It was gathered that the open lines (verves) under the tanks was opened and electricity still runs in the Electronic dispensers when the sparks came up, the fire started from the electronic dispensers before expanding. Luckily no life was lost.

After the workout session, they all went back into the room preparing for the day’s Tasks. Some of them had to use the bathroom. Frodd was ready to use the bathroom but realized that Tacha was already there. As he made to go in, Tacha sent him back with peppery words. She wouldn’t allow any of the guys have their bath because she Tacha was bathing. Eh, who dares to mess with the Queen! While some of the guys in the dressing room kept their cool about Tacha’s missile words, Ike was angry asking Tacha to at least show some respect.

Because Frodd didn't say a word (remember the saying, silence is the best answer for a fool?), Tacha became enraged hurling verbal missiles at him. She called him all sorts of names like “stupid”, “idiot” “multi-coloured human being”. However peppery these words were, Frodd kept his cool.

When Tacha came out of the bathroom, she started to abuse Frood the more, as though her earlier expressions were like a preamble. As she peppered the mute Froidd with very powerful abusive words, to the extent of referring him back home, Frodd came out of the bathroom not saying a single word. This seemed to surprise other Housemates who were probably expecting him to come out in full force charging at Tacha. A few minutes later, all went silent.

Then suddenly Tacha started again, this time, using very powerful expressions that could hurt even the gentlest of human being. She said that Frodd should feel lucky to be in the same place with her, as on a normal day she was too big a person to have anything to do with her. Hmmm, on fire!

While this verbal exchange went on unstopped, the other housemates were there looking on, there was not even a single utterance by anyone of them. Could they be afraid of Tacha? Or were they just minding their business?

Considering Tacha's choice of words and the determined manner with which she expressed them, can we see a case of someone waiting for this chance, as if there had been a misunderstanding earlier on.

A good friend of mine shared this African proverb with me yesterday and it made so much sense. “it’s not every dog that barks in the market that you answer”. Just to say that as we are on this journey called life, and as we build, as we start to see and experience some level of success, all sorts of people will come after you. They will even say all sorts, do all sorts, but don’t get distracted. Some of them will even try and use your relevance to make their “irrelevant” lives relevant. It’s all a distraction. What is key is that you continue to stay focused on your end goals.

In my personal journey, I just find it absolutely incredible, that for every stab anyone tries to take at me, believe me a few have tried, some “irrelevant and a few perceived successful ones too, but like magic, GOD just gives me such a GLORIOUS LIFT that just propels me even further. Obi Chukwuka Noah Ofulue, the 19-year-old Obi of Ubulu-Uku kingdom in Delta state, graduated from the University of Exeter, United Kingdom today Tuesday July 16th.
The young king bagged a degree in Law at the school’s convocation ceremony which was attended by his family.

Obi Akaeze I who is described as the youngest king in Nigeria, was installed as King in February 2016 following the death of his father, Obi Akaeze Edward Ofulue III who was kidnapped and subsequently murdered in January of the same year.

On Tuesday, a middle-aged pregnant woman was burnt to death after a commercial bus in which she was riding somersaulted and burst into flames at Omi-Adio on the Ibadan-Abeokuta expressway.

Eight other persons were trapped in the Toyota Liteace commercial bus which was taking passengers from Apata to Omi Adio on the one-lane expressway. According to a witness, the driver lost control after the shaft of the vehicle pulled off, making the bus to somersault several times.

The source said that the passengers numbering 10 were still trapped in the wreckage when it went up in flames. He added that as sympathisers struggled to rescue the victims, the pregnant woman, who sat in the front seat, became unconscious and was caught by the fire with the other passengers in the bus.

Officers from the Apata Ibadan unit of the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) and from the traffic section of the Omi Adio Divisional Police Station assisted in recovering the victims from the ditch where the bus had plunged. It was gathered that the injured with burns were taken to Alaafia Hospital, Apata where they are receiving treatment.

The remains of the pregnant woman was deposited at the Adeoyo State Hospital morgue, Ring Road, Ibadan. A police officer from Omi Adio Police Station attributed the accident to speeding and poor maintenance culture among commercial vehicle operators. FRSC Unit Commander for Apata Unit, Honey Ogundayo, confirmed the incident saying four of the victims were rescued by the FRSC officials.

"When we got the call, we went to the scene immediately. We were able to rescue four people. We also placed a call to the fire service but unfortunately, we lost the pregnant woman.

We rushed the other people who were injured to the hospitals. Some of them are in the Alaafia Hospital. The man who was identified as the driver was also rushed to the hospital. We tried our best to rescue the victims,” Ogundayo said.

Smartbricks Impact Properties has unveiled Nollywood couple, Damola Olatunji and Bukola Awoyemi, as its ambassadors.

The unveiling held at the company’s office in Isheri, Lagos, on Wednesday was characterised by glamour and the hope inspired by the housing and agricultural facilities unveiled by the company.

The deal, said to be worth millions of naira, is unique in the sense that it is about the first time that a top celebrity couple will be representing an organisation as a family affair.

For instance, while acclaimed actors and producers, Olu Jacob and Joke Silva, have separately promoted several brands, they have not really jointly done so as couple ambassadors.

Both Olatunji and the management of Smartbricks expressed excitement at the deal, with the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Solomon Duke and his wife, Sunmisola, saying the parties represent vital family ideals.

Duke said, “The choice of Damola and Bukola as our ambassadors was informed by our vision, what we intend to do with the project. We intend to project family, love, investment and the future. Why I said family is because we look at people who consider investing for the future for their families; securing the future of that family through investing in real estates, properties – having that orientation about family and promoting them.”

Duke added that the ambassadors were expected to influence the company’s image by promotion and sales. They do this by encouraging families or intending couples to see the future and plan towards it together, while adding values to each other.

On his part, Olatunji, who has featured in many films and produced several, explained that he and his wife conducted due diligence about Impact and found out that it its vision is beneficial to the people while its products are genuine and well intentioned.

For Bukola, popularly called Arugba, based on the role she played in Tunde Kelani’s movie by the same title, the ambassadorial work places core responsibility on she and her husband.

According to her, they have a responsibility to introduce to the public only what is authentic and beneficial. Besides, she said, they must continue to project themselves in ideal terms.
