Texas couple who have been married for 80-years named as the oldest living couple in the world. The Guinness World Records has named John and Charlotte Henderson as the world’s oldest couple. John is 106, while Charlotte is 105 years old. They were married over 79 years ago on December 15, 1939, GWR reports. On December 15, they will celebrate 80 years of marriage. Charlotte was born on November 8, 1914; while husband John was born on December 24, 1912. Charlotte was 25, while John was a few days shy of his 27th birthday when they married. They married during the Great Depression, where their hotel room for their honeymoon was only $7. John and Charlotte met in a class at the University of Texas in 1934, where Charlotte was studying to be a teacher, while John played football for the Longhorns. John Henderson also holds the title of world’s oldest living former UT football player, and the couple has maintained a tradition of attending at least one UT football game per season for the past 84 consecutive years. There's been a recent wave of spelling blunders from the government and it’s officials at different levels and this time around is the turn of Akwa Ibom state government that spelt the word 'judiciary' wrongly. An Inscription on the marble of the state government judiciary staff clinic which was commissioned by Governor Udom Emmanuel recently was written as 'Juduciary' instead of ‘Judiciary’. Omashola, his mum, Kim Oprah, Tuoyo visits Olu of Warri at his palace visits the palace of the Olu of Warri weeks after taking part in the reality show, Big Brother Naija. Three contestants from the recently concluded edition of the reality TV show, Big Brother Naija, Omashola, Tuoyo, and Kim Oprah were guests at the palace of the Olu of Warri, Ikenwoli I A. K. A Godfery ikenwoli Emiko. The event which took place at the palace of the Warri monarch in Warri on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, was filled with eminent sons and daughters of the town who came to celebrate Omashola on his participation at this year's edition of BBNaija. Omashola while thanking the monarch for his support went on to apologise for not intimating the King about his decision to take part in the reality show. According to him, this was due to the rules placed on the participating housemates by the organisers of the show. Omashola who was accompanied by fellow housemates, Tuoyo (Another indigene of Warri) and Kim Oprah presented gifts to the King. The Olu of Warri, Ikenwoli I A. K. A Godfery ikenwoli Emiko prayed for Omashola and the other visitors and also blessed them. Omashola was among the last five housemates who made it to the finale of this year's season of Big Brother Naija. He, however, was evicted alongside Seyi and Frodd on the night of the finale. A middle-aged man has filed an appeal before a Yola Upper Area Court after an area court in the same Yola North LGA of Adamawa State granted a request for divorce by his wife over his ‘obsession with sex.’ Both man and wife live in the Modibbo Adama University of Technology town of Girei, in Girei LGA of Adamawa State. The wife (name withheld) had earlier sought for dissolution of her marriage on grounds that each time she had sex with her husband (name withheld), she sustains injury. She told the Nassarawo Area Court in Jimeta, Yola North, that her man is stronger than her, that his obsession for constant and prolonged sex is beyond her. She said her problem is worsened by neglect, as he does not give her food nor provide her other basic needs. She asked the court to dissolve the marriage, which was contracted on February 26, 2016. The Nassarawo Area Court granted the relief after due process, but the husband, dissatisfied with the decision of the court, went to Sharia Court of Appeal, Yola, which referred the matter to Upper Area Court 3 for review. At the resumed sitting of the Upper Area Court presided over by Umar Isa, the Court adjourned hearing on the suit to November 13, 2019.
