The fourth Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Adeoye Adeniyi has died at the age of 95.

A bulletin issued by the information office of the institution said the late Adeniyi, who was a renowned Professor of Pediatrics and Child Health, passed on at Ibadan, Oyo State, on September 5th 2019.

It stated that the late don, who held office between 1985 and 1992, was reputed to be the longest-serving vice-chancellor in the university. The bulletin also stated that Adenyi, who hailed from Ogah, Kogi, was the first inaugural lecturer of the then Faculty of Health Sciences (now Clinical Sciences) of the university.

"The late Adeniyi is survived by children and grandchildren; the burial rite of the late Professor Emeritus will be announced later,” the bulletin stated.

Ubi Franklin served a notice on Instagram after a heated exchange with a follower from his hometown in Cross River state.

The music executive had shared a video with the caption 'Don't burn bridges, you may need that bridge'. A follower however told him that he needs the advice as he recounted getting snubbed after approaching the MMMG boss for help in his music career.

Ubi in his response to the claim made, said the singer was rude when they had a chat. He also stressed that he can't help everyone as he has three children to attend to, excluding his alleged 4th child with his 4th baby mama Sandra Iheuwa. The music executive further revealed that his requests sometimes gets turned down even though he is popular.

She went to the uber office to report but they denied him of been their driver. She wrote;

A four-man armed robbery gang operating along Ojuelegba to Ketu in Lagos has been smashed by the operatives of Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), Lagos state police command.

The two suspects arrested are the commercial bus driver Ndidi Melenu 30 from Kwale, Delta state and his motor boy Emmanuel Shoko 31 while the other two are still at large.

According to a source, the hoodlums had been operating in a commercial bus along Ojuelegba to Ketu almost on a daily bases disposing innocent people of their hard-earned money, phones, laptops and other valuables for a very long time.

Their consistent robbery operation in the area made residents of the area alert the operatives of the DSS who in turn informed the operatives of SARS of Lagos police command.

The command after days of intensive surveillance arrested the duo: Ndidi and Shoko, the driver and the conductor.

The third and fourth members of the gang simply identified as Sodiq also know as ‘Elere one of Lagos’ and Idowu popularly called ‘Owo master’ is still at large.

In his confession, the first suspect Ndidi said, ” I dropped out of school at SS1 due to financial problems and decided to become a commercial driver. My father had eight children from two wives but I married only one and was unable to take care of her.

“In my state of hopelessness and financial frustration, I met a bad friend simply known as Eche who introduced me to this one chance work though he is late now.

“I used to deliver #5,000 to bus owner daily and I share #10,000 with my conductor every day.

“When this guy, Eche introduced me to this one chance work I started making big money until I was arrested.

The second suspect Shoko said, “I have been managing the small coins I used to get as a bus conductor until this Idowu came to introduce this one chance work to me.

“He told us that it was not one chance armed robbery but pickpocketing as they only collect victims phone or money without applying force or gun.

“It was when I was arrested that police told me that it was one chance armed robbery.

Juliet Ibrahim appealed to women to quit their 'unwholesome marriages' as she opened up on her divorce during her book launch in Ghana.

The Ghanaian actress admonished the public on not judging people who want to end their marriages as she told Citi News that hers left her in a dark place where she was miserable.

”People have had their own perception about what led to my divorce.I have sat down for many years and have had to deal with the pain and insults from the public who had no clue what I went through as a person during that period and how it affected me.

“The depression and all that happened. All I will say is you should never judge someone who wants to come out of a marriage. Because sometimes it is better to come out of it than to stay in it. For your own sanity and mental stability it us always good to take a bold decision for yourself. For your kids, if there are kids involved take a bold decision,” she said.

Juliet Ibrahim had before now revealed that her marriage was a mistake which shouldn't have happened while pointing out that her ex-husband's family was never in support of it. She reportedly married Kwadwo Safo in 2010, after she got pregnant for him in the course of their friendship. They were however granted divorce in June 2014, after he allegedly cheated on her.

Big Brother Naija, BBNaija organizers have come under attack for issuing strike to housemate, Ike.

Biggie on Monday night issued another strike to Ike for attempting to attack a fellow housemate, Seyi.

Biggie’s judgement has since been criticized by Nigerians for his failure to issue Seyi a strike for provoking Ike.

We had reported that Biggie issued Joe a strike for provoking Tacha to violence.

BBNaija fans took to their social media to vent their anger over Ike’s strike, stating that the reality show has been biased.
