On Tuesday, a dead baby with hole in the hearth was brought back to life by Pastor Paul Eneche at the Glory Dome, Abuja.

The baby, who is barely a year old, was said to have been diagnosed with hole in the hearth about 11 months ago.

Sharing the testimony amid tears of joy, the visibly elated mother told the joyous congregation that the previous night, it was a tug of war as the baby could not sleep while battling with distress.

She said when she woke up around 6am, she discovered that the baby had stopped breathing.

“I covered her and brought to her the service around 9am. Till we got here, I was monitoring her breathe and she was still not breathing. However, during the course of the service while Daddy was declaring and ministering in worship, she jacked back to life,” the elated mother said.

Responding amid songs of worship, Dr. Paul Enenche, the Senior Pastor, DIGC, revealed that during the ministration, the Holy Spirit whispered to him of the resurrection miracle.

“Only God can take this glory. I heard it clearly during the course of ministration through worship songs but for one reason or the other, it was not announced.”

Dr. Becky Enenche, who is a medical doctor, confirmed to the excitement of the congregation the miracle after she used her stethoscope to auscultate the breathe of the child.

Shocking moment a Nigerian policeman in a white Hilux hit a man's car from behind in Portharcourt.

A man identified as Mohammed Tahir Ayaz, 26, and his wife Ikra Hussain, 20, of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire have been arrested by Pakistani authorities at the Sialkot International Airport.

The could face either the death penalty or life imprisonment after allegedly attempting to smuggle £2m worth of drugs into the UK.

According to the police, the couple were planning to fly from Pakistan via Dubai to the United Kingdom. They were arrested as they attempted to board the Emirates Airlines flight on Thursday, September 19th.

Airport police found an estimated 25 kilograms of ‘fine quality heroin’ hidden in female clothes. The drugs were split in different packets and divided across a number of garments, the Mail Online reported. Officials removed the bags containing the drugs and placed them into a blue carrier bag for weighing. It returned a weight of 25kg.

A man has drowned attempting to propose to his girlfriend underwater during their “once-in-a-lifetime” holiday.

Steven Weber dived into the ocean to pop the question to Kenesha Antoine through the window of their submerged cabin in Tanzania.

Video footage shows Mr Weber pressing a piece of paper against the glass with the message: “Will you please be my wife?”

He then opened a ring box before swimming up out of view towards the surface.

Ms Antoine, from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, posted the film on Facebook on Friday morning with her response: ”Yes! Yes! Yes!”

However a few hours later she revealed that he “never emerged from those depths” to hear her answer.

“We never got to embrace and celebrate the beginning of the rest of our lives together, as the best day of our lives turned into the worst, in the cruellest twist of fate imaginable,” she wrote.

“I will try to take solace in the fact that we enjoyed the most amazing bucket list experiences these past few days, and that we both were so happy and absolutely giddy with excitement in our final moments together.”

Ms Antoine, a lawyer, added: “You were a bright light to everyone you encountered.
You never met a stranger, and you brought so much joy to so many people. You were kind, compassionate, you regularly made me cry with laughter, and you showered me with a love like none I’d ever experienced.”

She also wrote that a few days earlier he had described the holiday as a “once in a once-in-a-lifetime thing that people want to experience before they die”.

“I will find you and marry you in the next lifetime, and the next, and the next, and the next,” added Ms Antoine. ”I love you so much, and I always will.”

The couple were staying at a resort on Pemba Island off the coast of East Africa.
An official at the US Department of State said they were aware of the death of a US citizen in Tanzania.

“We offer our sincerest condolences to the family on their loss,” a spokesperson said.

“We stand ready to provide all appropriate consular assistance.”

My wife brings her lover into our bedroom for sex, a 35-year-old unemployed man, Tayo Owoloye, on Monday told an Igando Customary Court in Lagos.

Owoloye is in court seeking to end his 11-year-old marriage to his wife Modinat.

Tayo said that their 11-year-old daughter used to tell him that her mother brings a man home and that she used to see them making love .

“I once saw her love chat on whatsApp with a man called Timothy, when I queried her, she quickly deleted those messages. I reported her to her two eldest sisters.

“She is also having affairs with another man, called Stanley.

“Modinat came to my mother’s burial in Ondo State and left that same day, I later discovered that she came with Stanley and both of them lodged in a hotel that day.

“I was still in my village when Modinat called that she was sick and admitted, I rushed to Lagos the following day and I was told by the nurses that a man came to pass the night with her whom I later discovered to be Stanley.

“When I confronted Stanley, he confessed that he is in a relationship with my wife but begged for forgiveness.

“I decided to know more about Stanley so I searched for him on facebook, I saw pictures of him and my wife which was taken inside our bedroom and on our bed.”

Owoloye presented to the court, printed pictures from Stanley’s facebook page, as evidence.

The petitioner said that he moved out of their matrimonial home when his wife said she needed space.

“There was a day we had misunderstanding and she got me arrested; at the police station I was asked to give an undertaking that I will not return to my house, till today I have not gone home.

“Two weeks after I left the house, my wife changed her marital status on Facebook from married to divorce and also changed her surname to her maiden name.

“Our neighbours called to tell me that Stanley always comes to pass the night in our house, confirming our 11-year-old daughter’s earlier affirmation.”

According to him, Modinat has been denying him sex since December, 2018.

The husband said that Modinat was always threatening his life with knife and that he was afraid as she may carry out her threat one day.

However, the respondent, Modinat, who welcomed the divorce suit, also accused her husband of infidelity.

“My husband had been cheating on me without my knowledge; I got to know last week when I went to his family house, where I met his new wife and a baby of about six month old.”

The 30-year-old trader denied having affairs with Timothy and Stanley.

“I sell watermelon, Timothy is my customer while Stanley comes to assist me in my shop.

“The picture of Stanley and I that my husband saw on social media was taken in the sitting room not bedroom as he claimed.

“Stanley came to stay with me when I was admitted at the hospital because my husband traveled for his mother’s burial and there was nobody to stay with me.”

The mother of three said that her husband had turned her into a punching bag.

“My husband is a wife beater, he once beat me that I lost a pregnancy, and I have several scars on my body due to his frequent beatings.

“On one fateful day, he beat me, tore my clothes and pushed me out of the house naked.

“Our neighbours clothed me, I went to the police station to report the matter and he was invited.

“When the police asked me what I wanted, I said I needed space, that he should leave the house for me for some time upon which he was asked to give an undertaking that he would give me space as I requested. ”

Modinat said she denied her husband sex because, “I don’t have feelings for him anymore.”

The Court’s President, Mr Adeniyi Koledoye, after listening to the estranged couple, urged them to maintain peace and adjourned the case until Sept. 26, for judgment.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has recovered $690,400 and N550,692,362 from some suspects in Kano State.

The money was reportedly recovered between January and August.

The commission’s Acting Chairman Ibrahim Mustapha Magu, stated this through the Head of the Kano Office, Akaninyene Ezima, at a media briefing in Kano.

A statement by EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, said Ezima revealed that the zone was also focusing on cybercrime through intelligence gathering and collaboration with other agencies across the world.

He said: “In this zone, we are developing a lot of intelligence to ensure that we combat this menace. Of course, we are sending a word of warning. The world has become a global village and these days law enforcement is not limited by national borders.

“So, there are collaborations between the commission and other law enforcement agencies in the world. As a result of such collaborations, several arrests have been made and we in the Kano Zonal Office will make sure we deliver on this mandate and stamp out the scourge of cybercrime.

“I want to advise members of the public not to disclose their bank details to anybody because we often receive unsolicited phone calls, emails, asking us for our banking information. There is no bank or financial institution that will call you and ask for your banking details.”

Ezima explained that scams are mostly perpetrated at weekends when fraudsters know that it would be difficult for victims to contact their banks.

The EFCC officer also cautioned the public against the prevalence of Ponzi and other “get-rich quick” schemes.

A 40-year-old man, Ope Tomori, who allegedly stole his employer’s property worth N1.9 million, was on Thursday brought before a Surulere Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos.

The defendant, of no fixed address, is charged with stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.

The Police Prosecutor, Anthonia Osayande, told the court that the defendant committed the offence sometime in July, at No. 10, Adetayo Shode St., Aguda, Surulere, Lagos.

Osayande alleged that the defendant stole three laptops, a cutting machine, bouquet chairs, Ipad, wedding gowns, three gold rings, Bluetooth stereo and ATM cards worth N1.9 million.

She told the court that Tomori carted away the valuables of his employer, one Mrs Winifred Okafor.

According to the prosecutor, the offence violates Section 287 (7) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Oluyemisi Adelaja, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N300, 000, with two responsible sureties in like sum.

She said that the sureties must be gainfully employed, and must show evidence of tax payment to the Lagos State Government.

Adelaja adjourned the case until Sept. 16, for trial.
