At all. It's constant day and night. That's why am soo surprised people are bashing glo. I even use it to play Xbox live, only at night tho because of latency issues.

Well guess wat? I dnt need any explanations, I read EE in skool. I admit I use layman terms all the time here so I must hav paid less attention to the capitalization. Tnx for pointing dt out dou. But do u knw KB and KBps is for file sizes and transfer speeds and Kb and Kbps is for Internet bandwidth and internet dwnload/connection speeds but u said- "HSPDA day and night and 130 KBps download speed .

U got it wrong man. There is a difference between Internet bandwidth and download speed although they are similar. Your bandwidth is how much bits you can transfer/collect per second on that particular network while download speed is how much bytes/bits you are currently collecting. They are really similar just that bandwidth has a standard unit which is in bits per second but download speed doesn't have a standard unit.

That's why on IDM or Firefox and even Uc browser, the speed is always in Kilobytes per second because that is more understandable instead of making the conversion from bits to bytes every time. So, your 2mbps etisalat will have a 250KBps download speed.

I understand your confusion with my original comment and it's a common thing in "layman terms" as you put it.

My advice is to get a reference book for all programming languages you are interested in. Schaum's series can be gotten for almost any programming language both ebook and hard copy. Hard copy is better tho. Understand the basics of the language and the world is yours

Even my glo 3G gives me upto 600kbps and more, my main ish wit glo is d mad fluctuations, one second it's on H+, d next it's on edge and d next it's off. Data can go off 5times in one minute. Somtimes I hav 3G but no data transfer...

I said 130KBps, not 130kbps. There is a difference.

KBps = kilobytes per second
Kbps = kilobits per second

1mbps (megabits per second)= 0.13MBps(megabytes per second) = 130KBps (kilobytes per second).

I really cannot undastnd wy Glo is still functional in Nigeria, its about the worst network here, very poor data network, poor voice call, infact it's illegal 4 glo to still be functioning. Goes a long way to confirm dt NCC aint doin anytin!

I dunno where you live man but glo is super fast here in Ibadan. HSPDA day and night and 130KBps download speed.

I hate the Os on my phone so much I couldn't wait until monday...so, I went to CV to update...the first guy installed a leaked 10.3...I started the phone, it shows BlackBerry for close to a minute and went dim...(didn't load). he flashed it and install a 10.2.0....i left him, went to someplace else....the guy showed me 10.3 (leaked, I suppose) he just installed to a similar BlackBerry as mine...it was so sweet et techy I told him I want it....he did...I started the phone, showed BlackBerry like before but went dim...he said some q5 do that way when. updated (he gave no technical reasons) ....i had to go back to the former guy and re-ported the 10.2....I'm so mad at the phone right now. pls, is it true bout certain Q5s? And what could be done, Pls? I really need that 10.3.1...bleeping techy!

I know right? 10.3 is awesome. Today is Monday, so you have access to that free WiFi. Maybe he installed the wrong version or something. When you get to office, download the latest autoloader for the phone. Make sure you browse around first for reviews from your fellow q5 users who have tested the os.

a Q5 sire. My app world doesn't open....since a pal helped me install OS 10.2.0.**** that's why I'm desperate to update the phone with the official one. I tried opening a page on my browser whilst connected to the hotspot, it never opened. The phone was on mtn bis with simple server...because my glo won't work on it (unchanged imei).

Should have used glo because you need simple server on your phone to be able to browse, it's complicated. Are you sure it started again? I have come across downloads whereby if the connection is too poor, you think it has restarted. Anyway, get to the office and try again. I feel your pain bro

Hi, i am running leaked OS also 10.3.1.1154, Its not the OS, it could be your apps or your data usage. like i said earlier, check your battery usage in device monitor to know the apps that consume your battery. And 3k is too much for an os upgrade. The download is just 1.2gig, thats almost half of a glo 1k subscription.

just extract with winrar or 7zip and double click the exe file to start installation first. make sure you have bblink installed already and your device is connected. Only install apps you NEED and save almost all data on memory card due to the small memory of thee phone.

Goto device monitor and check under battery usage the apps that use your battery most. Either stop using or delete them

Some of my applications are not connecting to the Internet. Am using a Q10, I subscribed for the glo comonth plan and it will expire by 29th. My data is below 500MB now, can that be the reason.

my browser is working,opera,ucweb,ymessenger and bbm but others like playstore, im+, utalk,trillian are not connecting. pls help o

If they are all android apps, download android assistant.

Unfortunately, i'm having very serious problems with downloading, especially with GLO network. About a month ago, downloads were speedy and fast up until two weeks ago when it started getting significantly slower on 3G.
Now, it's so bad that a 10mb file can take as long as 10MINS on 3G if not more.
Downloading a 70mb movie can drain over 30% of my battery life and takes almost forever.

I dunno if anyone could give me a solution.. i'd be pretty grateful.

Ps... i've been wondering for sometime; how long does a q10 battery last when on 3G?.. I mean from 100% to 0%. ?

My speed hits 900mbps on its best day, that's equal to about 130KBps. It's probably your location that is causing it. Is any other person experiencing it in your area?

Try a hard reset. Hold your power button for 10secs. If that doesn't work, try wiping the device or upgrade OS. Dont forget to backup important data

The best way advice anyone to upgrade their phone is through autoloaders. Although,it wipes the phone, it's very quick and stress less. Use sachesi to back up your apps first tho. Check previous posts if you dunno what sachesi is

Glo does that if you extend your subscription too many times. Just finish your current one then try again.

Exactly this. I don't have any secondary browser on my z3. The BlackBerry browser is the best currently that I know of with its html5 implemention. It's the best and the downloading is awesome especially on glo. The only other thing I have is IDM which I could use in downloading very large files.

That's strange. I tried recreating your problem however, after typing the pin, I tapped on it and d send option became available. Try deleting the bbm,restart,then reinstall. That's all I can think of.
