Coronavirus: National Tension As Photos Of Abba Kyari, Ganduje, Masari, Dangote, Others At IGP Son's Wedding Recently Surfaces!!

Abdullahi Ganduje, governor of Kano state, Abba Kyari chief of staff to President Muhammadu Buhari; Aliko Dangote, billionaire businessman; and Aminu Masari, governor of Katsina state were among those who attended the wedding fatiha of Hassan, son of Muhammad Adamu, inspector general of police.

Hassan married Summayya Goje, his fiancé on Saturday, 14th ( 10 Days Ago) in Abuja with most of the prominent personalities in Nigerian politics and business scene, gracing the occasion.

Kyari had travelled to Germany on Saturday, March 7th to meet with officials of Siemens in Munich on the Nigerian electricity expansion programme.

He returned exactly one week later on Saturday, March 14th, but did not show any symptoms.

Abba Kyari health confirmation comes hours after it was reported that Kyari was seriously ill and suspected of having Coronavirus after returning from trips to Germany and Egypt where the virus had killed dozens of persons

Subsequently, he voluntarily submitted himself for testing and was informed of his status yesterday.

Kyari has however gone into absolute isolation following the test result

These are not the best of times for individuals who met with the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, when he came back from Germany.

On Tuesday, StatePress reported that the test result of the coronavirus conducted on Mr Kyari came out positive while that of President Buhari was negative.

Ever since the disclosure of the result, many individuals who met with the Chief of Staff have been pencilled down by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

Among the list is Africa's richest man and Founder of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote.

Dangote met with the Chief of Staff on Friday, March 20th, when medical experts believe he would have been contagious.

Mr Kyari also met with the Inspector General of Police on March 14th when he attended the wedding of the Police Chief's son, Mohammed Adamu, in Abuja.

Among those who came in contact with Mr Kyari also includes the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, who was pictured shaking the Chief of Staff when he led a government delegation to commiserate with him on the demise of his mother.

Mr Kyari was also at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, where he was pictured in close embrace with several ministers of the federation.

His close friend and confident, Babagana Kingibe, has been marked for testing by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control already.

An official of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Salihu Umar, says he has tested positive for the novel COVID-19.

Umar said this in a tweet on Monday, barely two days after the FIRS authorities denied reports that its employee had tested positive for the virus.

He tweeted:

Lockdown Lagos & Abuja NOW, please please please.

Someone on my flight tested positive, that is to say everyone on that flight has been exposed.

Although, I’m in self isolation, time to go get tested ASAP.

I have just tested positive for COVID-19. At the moment, I am still under self-isolation as health personnel make their way to my house for evacuation to Gwagwalada Isolation Centre. My neighbours and employer have been notified accordingly.

Nigeria popular Radio/TV Personality and veteran Journalist, Mr. Luciano Okere was few days ago attacked by hoodlums around at the Central business district in Abuja. According to reports the journalist before he was attacked and his legs broken while being chased by the hoodlums.

Disclosing his ordeal to AbujaPress, "Whyneluciano" as he is popularly described by friends, fans and colleagues narrated that he was on his way home after work from Lit Club, a social fun arena, located at Treasure Suites, Central Business District Abuja where he's a Manager, when some boys in numbers attacked him.

According to his narration, he immediately took to his heels, as the hoodlums chased him with plans to rub him off everything he had, but haplessly attacked where he sustained critical injury on his leg. The injury was quite critical and has left Luciano with a broken leg as he now limps with clutches.

Described as "Jack of all Trade", haven worked with several reputable media brands, event management organisations and consultancy projects. The young entrepreneur, Luciano Okere is presently receiving medical care, though he may have to live with using clutches for a while. Luciano in his narration also called on security officers in Abuja to beef-up surveillance, especially during late hours to enable safety of lives and property in the city center.

The organizers had no choice but to cancel and refund ticket money.

2. Davido's A Good Time Tour

After releasing his album late last year, Davido started his North American tour last month visiting places like Vancouver, Edmonton, Denver, California.

Now with the virus already affecting citizens of US and Canada, Davido announced the tour will be postponed on March 14 owing to the outbreak of the coronavirus

3. GidiFest

GidiFest has always been one of the heavily attended music concerts in Lagos with several Nigerian artists taking turns yearly to be headliners.

Was poised to hold 9-11 April, the organizers have announced it has been postponed to October.

4. Asa Lucid Tour

....The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), has denied reports insinuating some staff have tested positive to COVID-19.

Mr. Muhammad Nami, Executive Chairman of FIRS in a statement made available to Economic Confidential in Abuja said the report is false and fake and should be ignored.

“The Service hereby states unequivocally that no member of staff at the FIRS has tested positive to COVID-19 as being peddled on Social Media”.

The Service can confirm that a member of staff who went to pick his wife from the airport following her return from a trip abroad is currently and voluntarily observing the Federal Government advisory of self-isolation alongside his spouse at the couple’s home since Monday.

The statement further said that both husband and wife have not visited any FIRS offices or events since the wife retuned to Nigeria last Sunday.

More importantly, both husband and wife have only been in self-isolation for five days and have NOT tested positive to Covid-19.

“Before now, all FIRS offices have taken necessary precautions to protect both Staff and our esteemed taxpayers from Covid-19 through such safety measures as social distancing, temperature testing, disabling of the biometric sign in, and provision of hand sanitizers for staff and visitors to our offices nationwide as advised by the Federal Ministry of Health”.

Members of the public are therefore advised to discountenance the claim that an FIRS official has tested positive to Covid-19.

2020 Audition! 30 Delegates Selected For Camping And Grand Finale Of Mr & Miss IMO State Nigeria. ( Photos)

It was an awesome experience to behold at the just concluded National Grand Audition of the Imo State Nigeria Pageant 2020. (Mr & Miss Imo State Nig.)

The Audition which was held at the prestigious De Glen Hotel & Suites, the Spanish Taste Hotel located in a Beautiful and Serene Avenue in the Heart of Owerri Featured the Good, the Better and the Best of models from within and around the country, mostly from Abuja, Calabar, Abia, Port Harcourt, Anambra and the Eastern Heartland of Owerri.

After a fair tussle of both sexes, and among the 46 contestants present, 30 persons were selected to move into the next stage of the competition which is the IMO STATE PAGEANT 2020 IN-HOUSE REALITY CAMP. (TEN YEARS A KING EDITION)
