Nigeria Youths Honour US Based Dr. Krystal Okeke As Nigeria Diaspora Youth Ambassador


The Coalition of Nigeria Youths Association (CONYA) through Kaduna state government has honoured US-based Nigerian Philanthropist, Ex-Beauty and Actress, Queen Krystal Okeke, with the Conferment of an Ambassadorial Award of Nigeria Youths in Diaspora. The Award was presented, by team Members of CONYA to Queen Kyrstal Okeke on the 3rd of December in Abuja.

According to a statement issues by Coalition of Nigeria Youth Association, it noted that the recognition of Queen Krystal was in view of her overall effort to promote and encourage those who have done excellently well to deserve honour. Some Member of CONYA who were present during the award presentation includes, Comrade Nuhu, the National Coordinator of coalition of Nigeria Associations, Ruth Maisamari of Arise for Nigeria Women, Ambassador Timothy Sajoh JP, from Generation for Peace and Zainab Abubakar from Nigeria Students Union.

Other Members of CONYA, who were present are Mr Zakka Rayi of Good Governance Monitory Intiative for Human Rights Depence, Yunusa Abubakar from Anti corruption Crusade Promoters, Comrade Yusuf Aminu from Arewa Youths Vanguard and Alh Sani Abdulsalam Danburan from Nigeria Agency Monitors Forum.

On receiving the reputatble and distinguished recognition from Coalition of Nigeria Youths Association CONYA, Queen Krystal expressed appreciation to the organisation for considering her worthy of such honour. However, Queen Kyrstal has continue to receive several notable awards, which includes her most recent honour as Nigeria Young Female Diaspora of the Year, which she received at the preatigious award ceremony of Igbere TV Leadership Excellence Awards held at Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Abuja.

Recording one of the most impressive and amazing appearance of notable personalities and public figures across diverse sectors in Nigeria, was the recent award event of Igbere TV Leadership Excellence Awards held in Abuja at Sheraton Hotels and Towers on the 10th of December 2020.

The Award occasion honoured outstanding excellence of Senator Uba Sani, Governor Babagana Zullum, the Executive Governor of Borno State, the Nigerian Inspector-General of Police's Intelligence Response Team boss and Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Abba Kyari, Anambra Governorship hopeful, Dr. Godwin Maduka, Hon. Vincent Ofumelu Ekene and former Nigeria President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, amongst others.

*Speaking at the Award event, in his acceptance speech, the former President whose Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation bagged ‘Foundation of the Year’, thanked Nigerians for their nomination and votes, while wishing Igbere TV massive success in endeavors.

*“I want to thank Nigerians who voted massively for the Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation to be the Leadership Excellence Awards’ Foundation of the year for the year 2020”, he said, with a special thanks to the organizers of the Award event for their contribution.*

“And I want to thank the media particularly Igbere TV, for covering our activities. Of course in these days and age, anything that is not in the media has not happened. On his part, Dr. Makinde Olalekan, Chief Executive Officer of the Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation, said the Foundation accepted the Awards because Nigerians nominated and massively voted them on merit, while dedicating the award to Nigerians and beneficiaries of their various projects.

“We are not like every other Foundation that are usually on TV or camera all the time; we (at Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation) do a whole lot of things at the background and people call us a ‘catalyst’,” the Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation boss stressed.

Meanwhile, Thursday's event witnessed the presence of notable other distinguished invitees, guests, media partners and other distinguished individuals. According to AbujaPress, the event was overwhelmed with an ambience of delightfulness, recording commendations and remarks on amazing outcome and success of the 2020 Lockdown edition of Leadership Excellence Awards.

Speaking during the award event, several Award recipients and their Representatives spoke on stage with journalists, commending the coordinated structure of the occasion, as they expressed gratitude to the Organisers of the prestigious awards, which was designed to encourage the excellent performance of notable persons across diverse sectors in Nigeria.

In a reaction by Mr. Emeh James Anyalekwa, the principal executive director of Igbere TV and the 2020 Leadership Excellence Awards, he congratulated the award recipients who were honoured and recognised in different award categories. He also appreciated efforts of the media partners, supporters and development partners who made the epoch-making event a success. He also thanked the African Union Economic Social and Cultural Council, AU-ECOSOCC for Endorsement of the event.

ANAMBRA MAN OF THE YEAR: THE SEARCH BEGINS

Since the history of man, advancement in civilization has always been wrought by men who had a higher sense of purpose, who went beyond self to create and chart new courses for the entire human race. For them, life is measured by its donation. It is about sacrifice and service for the upliftment of others.

Anambra State, the pride of the East, boasts of numerous accomplished and exceptional personalities cutting across several fields, ranging from billionaire businessmen to captains of industry, world famous literary and music stars, successful sportsmen and great professionals. In fact, it is said that for every kilometer radius in Nnewi, there is a billionaire. However, there seems to be a disconnect from the sense of community, the ancient and eternal principle of our ancestors embedded in the phrase "onye aghana nwanne ya" (Be your brother's keeper). This is made possible by the monumental rise of individualism, the notion that wealth is measured by consumption and not by impact, that all there is to wealth are kilometer long convoys, private jets, large parties and gigantic mansions. The newest competition, it seems, is "My Mercedes is bigger than yours".

But that was not how our forebears lived in a balanced society, at peace with one another and with nature. That was not how we survived the genocidal civil war and rose up from the ashes of ruin. A story was told of Anthropologist Margaret Mead who was asked by a student on what she considered the first sign of civilization in a culture. The student was itching to hear Mead talk about fish hooks or clay pots. But Mead instead opined that the first sign of civilization in an ancient culture was a femur(thigh bone) that had been broken and then healed. According to the learned Professor, in the animal kingdom, having a broken femur was a death sentence. The animal can neither run from danger nor hunt for food let alone getting to the river for a drink. Obviously, she continued, no animal survives a broken leg long enough for the bone to heal. A broken femur that has healed is evidence that someone has taken time to nurse the wound and tended the person through recovering. Helping someone through difficulty is where civilization starts said Mead. We are at our best when we serve others.

And that is the essence of the search for the Anambra man of the year. It is meant to refocus the societal compass towards the sense of community, to once again turn the perspective of ndi Anambra beyond the here and now and onto something much bigger than ourselves with a keen sense of posterity.

The ideals of a society is defined by the heores they choose. The Anambra man of the year should be a figure who inspires through extraordinary deeds of triumphant beauty. He should have an elevated sense of wealth, seeing it not from the prism of acquisition of toys to flatter the ego of the owner and traumatize his community, making the poor to feel their poverty, but as a vehicle and a tool for communal advancement. The Igbo word for wealth is aku na uba. Aku loses its essence without uba. The uba implies employing the aku for the benefit and advancement of the community. A standalone aku is a narrow, selfish and underdeveloped sense of wealth. It is an aberration in traditional Igbo society.

The Anambra man of the year should have a higher sense of purpose, hitching his cart to values larger than himself. He should be am embodiment of sacrifice and full of compassion. He should be shown to understand the interconnectedness of the human race, for it is in lifting others that we are lifted.

The Anambra man of the year doesn't need to be a Saint. He is human too, with great challenges and frailties. It is having these shortcomings that gives him the human connection necessary to truly inspire us, urging us to become the better versions of ourselves for our fellow ndi Anambra and for the entire human race.

ANAMBRA 2021: Dr. Maduka's Team Remains United, As It Rolls Out Innovative Programs For Ndi Anambra

The fame and notable influence of Nigeria-US Medical Doctor, Philanthropist and Anambra Governorship Aspirant, Dr. Godwin Maduka has remained unchallengeable, even amidst irrelevant propaganda alledging disunity and crisis within the campaign structure of the Lion of Africa, ahead of 2021 Anambra Governorship polls. The Statement which was signed by one of the Media Executives of Dr. Godwin Maduka, noted that the entire frivolous propaganda was amorphous and designed to discourage the visionary mandate and exceptional prospects of Dr. Godwin Maduka, who has been described as the most credible candidate as Anambra 2021 elections draw closer. He further stated that the propaganda was fueled by bad elements who feels bittered because that have not achieved their aims in parading the vicious and mischievous rumour.

However, the political structure and campaign team of Dr. Godwin Maduka is undauntedly united and currently working earnestly to ensure victory of their Principal in the 2021 Anambra Polls. Unfortunately for the promoters of evil in Anambra state, the Supporters of Dr Godwin Maduka across the 21LGAs in Anambra state have continued to grow intrinsically, as a result of his inputs and impacts in the lives of people, institutions and structures across the state and beyond.

Dr. Godwin Maduka who is a Triple Professor of Medicine, a renowned Philanthropist and a dogged politician has been called upon by the people of Anambra state. His capacity, abilities and incessant impact in the lives of people have remained one of the most determining factor in the increasing pace of supporters which he has garnered in recent times. Northern Group Honour Nzenweofor Group Chairman With Man Of Gold Award.

The Voice of Northern Nigerian Students(VONNIS), one of the most influencial youth and academic groups in Nigeria, especially in the northern region of the country has acknowledged and recognised the outstanding capacity, contributions and commitments of Chief Ndubuisi Nzenweofor Chibuzor, the CEO and Founder of Nzemweofor Group, the mother Organization of Olango App and Vortex.

Chief Ndubuisi Nzenweofor was recognised and honoured with the Prestigious Man of Gold Awards, presented by the national leadership and Members of Voice of Northern Nigeria Students(VONNIS). The Award of Excellence was presented to Chief Ndubuisi few days ago at his Abuja Office, as an "Achiever Per Excellence", recognised by the distinguished northern youth association.

During the presentation of prestigious award, the Leadership of VONNIS congratulated the CEO and Founder of Nzemweofor Group, Olango and Vortex. They stated that the recognition was quite merited and in view his immense contribution towards the development of students, youths, society, services to humanity.

Chief Nzenweofor however expressed appreciation to Voice of Northern Nigeria Students(VONNIS), for considering him worthy of such a prestigious award. He however stated that the award will continue to encourage his input and contributions in supporting the younger generation, especially those who are underprivileged and vulnerable.

Other persons, groups and Institutions have continue to commend and congratulate Chief Ndubuisi for his recent recognition and Award Of Excellence by the renowned Voice of Northern Nigeria Students.
