Dana Air has introduced more flights options from Lagos to Abuja and Abuja to Lagos with low fares.

According to a statement by the airline’s Media and Communications Manager, Kingsley Ezenwa, starting 18th March 2019, the airline will operate additional flights from Lagos to Abuja at 6.48am, 10.08am, 12.15pm, 13.44pm, and 5.10pm while flights from Abuja to Lagos will be at 8.28am, 10.35am, 12.06pm, 15.30pm and 18.50pm.

EMEKA IHEDIOHA DID NOT MEET THE CONSTITUTIONAL REQUIREMENT TO BE DECLARED GOVERNOR-ELECT

INEC SHOULD IMMEDIATELY SCHEDULE A RUN-OFF ELECTION


The Ugwumba Uche Nwosu Campaign Organization takes notice that the Independent National Electoral Commission has concluded collation of results from the 27 LGAs of the State. As much as there were clear cases of electoral malpractices which the People's Democratic Party benefited from, we would have considered sending our congratulations to anyone who won the election in a free and fair contest, for the interest of peace and stability of the State, but, our team of analysts have studied the result of the election and found out that the PDP and its candidate did not meet the Constitutional requirement to be declared winner of this election. It is important to therefore inform our teeming supporters that;

1. Chief Emeka Ihedioha did not score up to 25% up 18 LGAs of the State as required by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which requires a governorship candidate to win 25% of votes in two thirds of his or her State, apart from winning the highest number of votes, before he or she can be returned, elected.

2. The Independent National Electoral Commission shall, in obedience to the Nigerian Constitution, conduct a run-off between Chief Emeka Ihedioha and Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, within the next seven days, in order to determine the actual winner of the election.

3. We congratulate our teeming supporters and indeed all Imolites for their faith in us, which manifested in the massive support accorded to His Excellency Ugwumba Uche Nwosu during the cause of this election.

4. Even though, thousands of our votes were stolen by the People's Democratic Party in active connivance with some officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, we assure you that the upcoming run-off shall produce a better result as more efforts shall be dedicated to protecting our votes this time around.

5. We call on Independent National Electoral Commission to immediately set down a schedule for the conduct of a run-off election between His Excellency Ugwumba Uche Nwosu and Chief Emeka Ihedioha.

After three years of ceaseless political fireworks, Imo State citizens particularly those with PVCs will on March 9, 2019 go to the polls to elect a new State Governor and members of the State House of Assembly.

There is anxiety in the land as analysts say this will be the most keenly contested governorship election in the State since democracy berthed the shores of the country in 1999. In other words, it is a titanic battle considering the depth and intensity of the contest.

More than 50 governorship candidates will be on the ballot with over 1,000 House of Assembly candidates jostling to emerge lawmakers and Representatives of the 27 local governments in the State House of Assembly.

Six governorship candidates have been adjudged to be more determined in their quest to suceed Governor Rochas Okorocha whose two terms tenure of eight years will elapse on May 29, 2019.

They are by the alphabetical order, Action Alliance, AA candidate, Uche Nwosu, Accord Party Candidate and former Governor, Ikedi Ohakim, All Progressive Congress, APC candidate, Senator Hope Uzodinma, All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate, Emeka Ihedioha and United Progressive Party, UPP governorship candidate, Hon.Tony Nwulu.

Action Alliance, AA

The AA may be a new political party in the race for the number top job in Imo State but it’s governorship candidate, Uche Nwosu, has the backing of the incumbent Governor and father in law, Rochas Okorocha.

Okorocha has staked a lot to ensure Nwosu succeeds including earning a suspension from his party, the APC.

The AA has been energized by the entire Rescue Mission structure of Okorocha who are rooting for the success of Nwosu at the election.

Accord Party

The Accord party is another party that has leapfrogged seriously into the guber contest.

The strength of the party is anchored on former Governor, Ikedi Ohakim, who is staging a return to Government House, Owerri after serving for a term between 2007-2011.

APC is the ruling party in Imo State and is be determined to retain the State. However, it’s a different ball game for the party as it head to the polls without Okorocha who masterminded the party’s victory in the State in 2015.

With Okorocha’s suspension from the APC on allegations of anti party, the party p is relying on Senator Hope Uzodinma, it’s governorship candidate, to win Saturday’s election.

APGA has always been in contention for the governorship race in Imo State. The 2019 guber polls is not different. This time the party is coming into the contest with a well known political war horse, Senator Ifeanyi Araraume whose is making a fourth consecutive attempt to become Imo State Governor.

Peoples Democratic Party, PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP is making a renewed in road into the guber contest. The last time the party occupied Government House, Owerri was between 1999- 2007 when Achike Udenwa was elected Governor.

Hon.Emeka Ihedioha, a former Deputy Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives is leading the party for the second consecutive time into the contest.

United Progressive Party, UPP*

The UPP made an impressive showing in the 2015 governorship election. It intends to move beyond making up the number s having launched a determined resolve to win the guber polls on Saturday.

In Imo State, the clock is ticking. The d -day is getting close. March 9, 2019 is the day Imo youths will define their destiny as they goout in their numbers to elect a new State Governor.

The Court of Appeal sitting in lagos on Wednesday granted an Order which replaces Ben Ayade of the PDP With Emmanuel Ibeshi as candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Cross River State.

The panel of three Judges headed by M.M. Amadi ordered that the PDP does not have the constitutionl powers to withdraw Ibeshi rights to Vote and be Voted for, and hence Ayade was not a Candidate in the premise that he did not contest primaries.

The three judges in the panel unanimously agreed that in suit No CA/C/52/2019

The judge also went further to pronounce that candidate from the list submitted by PDP NWC should not be recognized by INEC.

Responding to the Order the Counsel to Ayade and others, Farouk Liman said “I am dissapointed with the order of court but it is in the interest of justice and our party have agreed to expeditiously handle the matter and bring the substantive matter to an end.”

Also responding, Counsel to the Ibeshi, Boni James SAN said, “the PDP did not follow due process before disqualifying Emmanuel Ibeshi. And therfore his was the substantive Flag Bearer of the PDP. That Ben Ayade
of PDP whose names was published by INEC as submitted to them by the National Working Committee of the PDP, remains null and void and that the court has given the respondents’ counsel up to 11 thMarch , 2019 to file their brief on the substantive case and the matter adjourned to Monday 24thMarch, 2019 for hearing.

The Governorship candidate of the United Progressive Party, UPP, Hon. Tony Nwulu On Thursday hosted Mr. Ihediohamma Uzoma led Wealthy Brothers Association, a youth body at his Owerri country home.

The group endorsed Nwulu for Imo Governorship vowing to support his aspiration few days to the guber polls.

In his speech, Mr. Uzoma said Hon Nwulu represents Imo youths in the governorship race assuring him of their support during Saturday’s governorship election. He said the group will go to their various wards and polling units to work for the success of the UPP governorship hopeful.

"We are not just supporting Tony Nwulu because we want to support him. We are endorsing him for governorship because he is a youth. If Tony Nwlu becomes the next Imo Governor, we believe Imo youths have won" he said

The group which has representatives in all the 27 local governments of Imo State said they decided to visit the UPP governorship hopeful in order to show solidarity to him.

In his opening speech, the Director General, Mezie Imo Movement, Hon Kelechi Chukwu enumerated the fine qualities of Hon Nwulu.

" As a young man, we have seen the zeal in Hon Tony Nwulu and we have no choice than to vote for him as the next Governor of Imo State”

In his remarks, the UPP governorship candidate, Nwulu stated that the time of Imo youths to take over governance of the State has come.

He said that gone are the days, youths take a back seat on issues pertaining to governance in the State, recalling that he played a major role in ensuring that Nigerian youths become active partakers in the leadership of the country.

He stated that the Not Too Young To Run Act which he initiated on the floor of the House of Representatives was a clear demonstration of his commitment to ensure Nigerian youths are no longer left out in the task of governance of the State.

The event was witnessed by Deputy Governorship candidate of the UPP, Nnaemeka Obiareri, Imo State Chairman of UPP, Mr. Innocent Eke, Director General, Mezie Imo Movement, Mr. Kelechi Chukwu and others.

Aham Rochas is the first son of Nigeria politician and Governor of Imo state, His Excellency, Governor Rochas Okoroacha. The antecedents of Aham Rochas in humanitarian and charity works have recently recorded significant impacts across Africa.

Aham has also expressed gratitude to his sister and appreciated her for the encouragement and motivation he always received from her. He thanked everyone who made out time to be bring him the glorious joy he feels on this significant day of his life.

BILLIONAIRE BURIAL!!! Man Buries His Girlfriend With A Hummer Jeep Instead Coffin

Shocked? don’t be. Different strokes for different folks as they say. Besides, what’s wrong with going the extra mile to prove your love, even in death? A Nigerian billionaire whose name has been given as Chief Ade Azikiwe decided to bury his girlfriend with an expensive Hummer SUV instead of the usual casket when she died after a short illness last week.

According to reports, the billionaire promised to give the hummer to the girlfriend when she was sick in a bid to encourage her to get well. And when she died, he decided to honour his promise to her by ensuring that she went underground in the fully loaded hummer.

Onlookers were surprised—considering the fact that the burial took place in a small poor village where most people struggle to have 3 square meals.

In fact, the billionaire himself was worried that thieves would out at night to steal the hummer—and as such ordered for several layers on concrete and cement to be used to cover it. He also hired 6 watchmen to police the graveyard. This is just a girlfriend—perhaps if the wife dies, he will bury her with a whole aeroplane.

Still on expensive burials, in June 2018, a Nigerian from Anambra state identified as Azubuike took the love for his father to his grave as he reportedly buried him in a N32 million BMW car. In a manner which many see as legendary, the man replaced his deceased father’s casket with a vehicle and ensured that the ground was dug for the car and his father to be buried in.

A Facebook user made this known with photos from the burial as he hailed the man who honoured his father.


He wrote: “Nigerian man Azubuike buries his lovely father with a brand new BMW worth about N32 million, in his father’s village at IhIala LGA, Mbosi Anambra state.”

The youthful managing director of lmo state oil producing areas development commission ISOPADEC Hon Andrew Chidi Nwokotubo who doubles as the state felicitetor Imo Consolidation Group (ICG) has stated that it is only Action Alliance (AA) gubernatorial candidate for the march 9th governorship election will sustain the free education policy of Governor Rocha's Okorocha in imo. Speaking to news men and his supporters in his office owerri, Hon. Andrew Chidi Nwokotubo disclosed that in 2011, when Governor Rochas Okorocha began his Rescue mission campaign for the governorship position of the state, he gave the people a massage of hope that imo must be better. It became both a message and a promise. The people believed both the massage and the messenger because of the impeccable tracks record of the messenger in service to God and humanity. With poor infrastructures and inadequate men power, parents and guardians were paying heavily to train their children and wards. In the past, imo had many dilapidated school buildings and some schools students used mangoes trees as class. Imo state university was among the institutions with highest tuition fees. As if that was not enough, the administration of former governor Ikedi Ohakim increased the fees to 150, 000.

Parents were heavily suffering to train their children and this resulted into high rate of poverty in the state. However, when Rocha's Okorocha indicated interest to run for the governorship position, the people were happy, hopeful and heaved a sigh of relief, the reason was simply because of his indisputable tracks records of free and qualitative education to children of the poorest of the poor through his Rocha's Foundation Colleges. The masses know that his name rings bell as a man who operates a free education foundation college with visible presence in many states of the country and that alone gave him overwhelming support.

Records have proved that Governor Rochas Okorocha has intimidating score card in the areas of educational sector from 2011 to 2019, it was the 305 model upstairs constructed under his regime. Reports indicated that school enrollment has sporadically increased in both primary and secondary schools from 200,000 to about 800,000, it simply means that those who could no afford to send their children to school due to financial difficulties are now rushing to do so because a reliable and trustworthy leader has provided a dependable opportunity for free and qualitative education in the state. Political history was recorded on Thursday, 21th, February, 2019, when a prominent personality from the economic Golden base of Imo State in Ohaji Egbema, Ejike Chukwu pulled an unprecedented crowd of supporters to announce his gubernatorial candidacy under the platform of the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
