The phase will soon pass. Let me thank God I'm lucky I don't have ms. Only little fatigue and sleeping. I experienced spitting for only a week @8wks but I overcome it with garden egg. I never vomit once. So I count myself lucky.
Though it has not been easy as I don't have ms because I patronize clinic to check if everything is OK every week. Within 11 weeks I've done 5 scans

Pls hope you are on very high progesterone cos of the no Ms. Thank God for the no ms. I didn't want ms too but when it came, I had constant assurance that all was well. Lol. All will continue to be well with us.

I didn't feel any symptoms ma. I was surprised, coz I haven't come across such blood pressure reading before. It was done with an automated sphygmomanometer.

I hope they didn't just do the reading once and conclude with that. An abnormal reading should be repeated once or twice immediately to be sure before concluding.

A few months ago, one nurse in a renowned hospital took my reading once and it read high. She wasn't the one that normally took my bp reading. She just told me things to do to reduce it and that I should stop thinking. Which thinking is that? Lol. I had never had high blood pressure though dh had. While still in the hospital premises, I called Hubby who became seriously concerned and told me to go back and let them repeat the test. That how can they conclude with one reading and put my enemy in fear. He was the one afraid sha. My brethren, when I went back...same nurse repeated the bp check and it gave me a normal result. It was automated machine.

LUTH does laparascopy but it's like it's more costly than this your own. Around 100k plus.
There's a Surgeon in Ibadan who works in UCH that does for around 50k. Search this thread for his number if interested. I think the clinic name is Foremost Hospital, Ibadan or so.

One mama advised you not to lift your head up after the surgery when you were asking for tips for surgery. Lifting your head up day of and even day after causes intense severe sometimes lasting headache. Your doctors or nurses should have also told you. Sorry we mamas here didn't emphasize it enough or you didn't see the one who did. Pele my sister. Maybe you could tell your doctor about the headache so they can prescribe something strong. Then rest a lot. Don't lift your head again for now. You can turn it from side to side. Would have posted this since yesterday but I was banned.

Low progesterone with heavy bleeding during menstruation is a big issue here please ....I think IVF would be better option at this level

Even with the IVF, you need to take care of the low progesterone or else the pregnancy can be lost very early. You need a very good gynea with a good dose of progesterone. Recommended is Cyclogest 200mg twice a day but be sure you're able to sustain this dosage cos it's very expensive or you do once a day. You dont have a problem if it's only what you stated above.

Just to chip this in. Spinal anaesthesia didn't work for me. They administered it in my spine and asked me later to wriggle my toes twice. I could still do this. I said I was still feeling things o.
So I was knocked off with general anesthesia. I could still hear their voices as if from afar but didn't feel any pain or sensations till they were done.
Don't be afraid if spinal doesn't work for you (I hope it does). I heard its normal for some people who don't drink alcohol or something. You and your baby will make it out alive and well. Amen.

That will be a guide.. you can add vitamin c tablet to the drug to aid/ help in absorption of the iron .

Hello mums, Pls are my eyes (under lids) supposed to still be white halfway through first trimester? This was one of the signs I used to suspect pregnancy before testing positive. Is it normal or it shouldn't be so till now? I am on fesulf and folic acid. I don't feel faint or weak now.

It is well. Don't throw away the one million sha. Go to the one with better success rates. It may not be Olive branch. Do your findings. Is it not ICSI you want to do? Not every fertility hospital can do this one well. You need a very reputable clinic that has high success rate in ICSI not just IVF. It's not guaranteed but we can do our best too to help ourselves get the best. God will continue to help us all.

Emaaaaaaa ,why don't you find out more about Olive branch for Lagos IVF? At least, I heard the Dr there is very meticulous and has an eye for perfection. So he may likely put his all into the procedure. Though, I heard that he's also a bit cocky. Don't know if this has changed now. But you know what you want, so one can choose to overlook any negative thing and concentrate on getting that bfp.

For Abuja, Grabbo and Diff fertility hospitals (spelling check). Diff has the best records for difficult cases. Very expensive though.

The success rate of IVF is low now. Recently, they transferred 11embryo to 11people. Only two came out positive.

Before now, If Kingswill fertility transfer 10embryo to 10people, only one or two we will came out negative.

Things are not really going well with them now. I visited the place last two week. The story from people was not really encouraging

Eyaa. That's not encouraging at all. I hope they didn't let their little success get into their head and then neglected to give the procedures their best shot.
If their IVF records is now like this, imagine if I had used them for IUI?! Hmm. I had already gotten their price list and I was seriously considering them last year. It is well. I hope they get back on track.

Pls you know the drill. Prepare as much as you can and try to tackle any underlying issue to an extent before going in for the actual procedure. Prayers, faith and preparation is key.

About two months cos of tests. Started with HSG tests towards the middle of my cycle. Completed the other tests the following cycle.

You pay registration and consultation first. Sometimes you get to even see the fertility treatment facilitator to discuss your options. When you're sure of what you want, you then go and pay for registration /consultation. Then you get to consult with the doctor. This is a one time fee. Subsequent consultations are already covered.

When you're set to start tests, you pay for your tests all at once.
Also, You pay for the treatment itself all at once when you're about to start taking medications/start the IUI cycle on the 2nd or 3rd day of your new cycle.

My dear, do your research first o on what will work for you and on which hospital will work best for you. I am based in Lagos. I heard years ago on this thread that Save A Life was ok. You can also ask PH based mamas on IVF/IUI thread here on NL.

Intrauterine insemination is effective for some cases with sperm quality problems. However, if the total motile count at the time of insemination (after processing) is less than 5 million, chances for pregnancy with IUI are much lower(2%). If the total motile sperm count is below 1 to 5 million, IVF/ICIS is preferred

IUI is for people that her hubby has more than 5million sperm count. Like me now, I can't do IUI because my husband sperm count is very low

You're right. That's why I told her depending on her perculiar case. Even with blocked tubes, IUI isn't a viable option except the tubes are worked on or divine intervention is received.

I don't think my husband will agree to that. His salary account is even Access bank but I can't force him. I have been trying to save up some money but that might take long.I just liked the part that they refund 30% if d procedure fails,it means the hospitals will really do their best. I am based in Rivers state.

I suggest you start with one or two cycles of IUI first depending on your perculiar case. If it doesn't work out, you can then think of moving on to IVF. Paying back a loan for a failed IVF will be too painful though it will also be worth it if it works out. Fertility blessings.

(I heard from friends that if you have current results of some tests, they will use them and refund your money for those tests at the end of everything. I didn't use this option cos I didn't have current tests results and I just wanted them to do all tests themselves so they won't have cause to say I caused any negative outcome . Not that it's guaranteed but you know na )

IUI - 200k for one trial.
500k for 3 consecutive trials.

IVF -800k (I think this is promo price. Not sure if it continues for this amount after their promo periods)
