PoliticsRe: PDP Welcomes Buhari To Presidential Race: Faults His Claims On State Of The Nati by glory2glory: 4:50pm On Oct 16, 2014
PDP is obviously rattled by Buhari's declaration and support.
And all these PDP internet warriors ranting here, you have suddenly woken up from sleep . Where were you all yesterday. I guess money has been released. Your personal interest will not override Nigeria 's prosperity. Change must come 2015.

So finally this thread was pushed back to fp.
Who is afraid of GMB?
God willing, 2015 change begins in Nigeria as we get right this time by voting out Pdp.
Vote Buhari for president, 2015

ISpiksDaTroof:
Now lets talk about merit. PDP has absolutely none, APC has some, not much, but enough to lead the way in the proper direction which Nigeria was destined to go before it got derailed the last 40+ years. GEJ did not start the rot but he has continued it. If you really love Nigeria you'll at least admit this claim. I lived in Nigeria a good part of my adult years and believe it or not I love Nigeria and her people. Nigeria would've been a very lovely place to live if not for the simple things that it doesn't have: security, good health care, electricity, water, roads, justice etc Nigeria probably has the best weather anywhere in the world... at least places Ive been. The people are wonderful folks and although sometimes I might come off as harsh or condescending when replying certain annoying elements on here, its all out of love and frustration. In the 70's, we all thought by the "2000s" Nigeria would at least be on par with countries like Malaysia and virtually giving South Korea and co a run for their money. Nobody ever thought Nigeria would be mentioned in the same sentence as Chad and Niger; except of course the topic was soccer.

PDP has brought nothing but destruction to Nigeria, it is still the same cabal and groups that have held Nigeria by the jugular from inception. Nigeria needs to break away free from them. And only Buhari has the guts to go at them. Let me tell you, personally, I think GEJ (even though a bad man in his own right i.e association with shady characters, corrupt politicians, terrorists like Henry Okah, Asari Dokubo, Tompolo etc, toying with the lives of citizens by promoting religious and tribal division etc) still "has a heart"--- when you compare him to other Nigerian Presidents. But the truth is that he is a coward! And a coward does not have any business leading the greatest black nation in the world, PERIOD!!!

GEJ seems to me like the kind of man that acts, realizes his mistakes, then takes steps to correct them. He did this during the fuel subsidy saga, during the banning of Nigeria from all international soccer competitions and also during Chibok scandal, you know what that tells me? He has a heart!

But notice that GEJ only acts hot headed and doesn't seem to listen whenever the issue centers around corruption. Whenever corruption is the topic, GEJ the listener suddenly becomes GEJ the deaf and mute. No only that, he also seems to lose all sense of reasoning then that subject comes on. Its not that GEJ doesn't know what to do, he does, but he also knows that he cannot really go toe to toe with the worst of the worst financial criminals fleecing the Nigerian Treasury lest they expose him too. You ever heard that little saying "He who comes into equity must come with clean hands."? Yeah, it applies here too, and President Goodluck Jonathan's hands are as dirty and as sticky as they come. He can't beat them, so he joins them. And guess who suffers when everyone---including the President, people close to him, and even his enemies---are stealing Nigeria blind? The Nigerian people including generations unborn.

You guys really need to get it together and forget religious and tribal bias and pick the "cleanest man" amongst you. You don't pick a thief to mange your money. Thats the mistake Nigerians are always making. You always select thieves to manage the money for the Nigerian people. Well, unfortunately, thieves aren't built to manage money, their DNA is engineered to STEAL! So while you're left starving with no jobs and no electricity or good roads, your darling Senators are living in mansions while junketing the world on shopping sprees. When they get a headache they hop on a Private Jet to Germany, the hospitals they built for you is not good enough for them. The doctors are not qualified enough to poke through their bodies, but thats what they saddle you with. Yet, you stand in the hot sun every election to put the very same people that made you miserable in the first place at the helm as your leaders. When will you start demanding what is rightfully yours?!

Let me tell you something that will blow your mind and why I sincerely think Nigerians are weird and a certain section is made up of nothing but sadists:

SINCE INDEPENDENCE, ONLY ONE GOVERNMENT HAS TRULY FOUGHT FOR THE NIGERIAN PEOPLE BY ENSURING THAT EVERY LAST PENNY WAS ACCOUNTED FOR. The duo of Buhari/Idiagbon. No matter what you say about Buhari/Idiagbon regime, they weren't corrupt and did not go about enriching themselves like the IBB gang wanted (which led to them being overthrown).

Nigeria, you know your problem, and you know the solution. Either get right, or get petty and you'll either move with the rest of the developed world, or the rest of the normal world will leave you and your dreams behind.

Is taking part in illegality is also part of honesty? Restating something does not make it true. Dispute my points rather than make Prof the benchmark for honesty. It is not for me to say how honest the Prof is. He said Buhari is honest and Wole Soyinka said Buhari isn't. Now,it is left to you to choose who is or isnt.

I don't expect TDW to tell me about the evils of
Buhari's regime because he was part of it. But as a kid under the age of 8 I witnessed the evils. I saw soldiers kneeling people down and flogging them for not knowing the wordings of the second stanza of the national anthem. I soldiers forcefully entering warehouses to cart away goods and accusing the owners of hoarding. I heard stories of military administrators looting their states dry why our 'incorruptible' maximum ruler looked the other way.

TDW did not see anything wrong with the gross violation of human rights at the time. He did not see anything wrong with STEALING leadership with a gun. He saw nothing wrong in jailing people like Alex Ekwueme on trumped up charges even when Justice Uwaifo panel EXONERATED him and made the famous statement that politics made Ekwueme poorer.
He did not see anything wrong with serving under a government that had no plans of returning power to civillians. For 20 months Buhari held sway, he never mooted the idea of returning power to civilians. Like Abacha, Buhari wanted to be life President until his brother criminal kicked him out. Need I remind you that it took the other criminal, Abdulsalam Abubakar, just 9 months to conduct elections?

It is a shame that young people should be supporting the return to power of those who kept Nigeria in it's current state. Buhari is part of the old brigade. Somebody who achieved nothing as a ruler when he was younger cannot achieve nothing as a ruler in his old age.
How has the new brigade of Gej moved Nigeria forward. Did you read the article at all? Can you compare Buhari's achievements to Gej 6 years .

mind you,the so called reductions is being done by banks he borrowed from.
The creek road is one out of many impassable roads in portharcourt.
Amaechi is a failure.
That's not true. Allocations to states have reduced, nobody is questioning the fg. Amaechi says it openly and every where, let the minister of finance openly deny, not the hearsay about bank deductions being peddled by propagandists
PoliticsRe: PHOTO NEWS ; Amaechi's Loads of Failed Promises. by glory2glory: 2:43pm On Oct 10, 2014
PhockPhockMan:
Why didn't you include CREEK ROAD.
Thank Goodness, you only mentioned Creek road. Has the man not tried, all the ones he has done you are still abusing him. Like Amaechi said, he didn't promise to solve all the problems of the state. Besides, the federal government has reduced Rivers allocation from 24billion to 12billion. Why not criticise the fg for reducing our allocation,
PoliticsRe: PHOTO NEWS ; Amaechi's Loads of Failed Promises. by glory2glory: 2:34pm On Oct 10, 2014
@ Op, you said loads of failed promises but you have only showed the same creek road area. Yes, the work on creek road has been abandoned for sometime now and most of the roads in borikiri area are in a bad shape. While we criticise Amaechi for neglecting Borokiri in the area of roads, you still can't deny the fact that the governor has done very well on the average.
Someone has posted here over 170 roads worked on by his government. Virtually every community has benefited schools, health centres, roads and bridges. Even the borikiri area got schools and health centre.
Besides his government has employed lots of people and many have gotten scholarships to study in Nigeria and abroad.
There is no denying that he has been distracted of late because of politics and the revenue to the state has dropped significantly. But Amaechi has done much better than most governors.

I thought he was killed in a gun battle? So he was actually apprehended. In as much as I'm happy for these recent victories by the military, I wonder about the sponsors of bh. Why is that the DSS and milatary have not been able to extract useful information from all those arrested so far about their sponsors? The FG and PDP wants us to believe APC is behind BH, why is it so difficult for them to prove this after arresting so many BH members and Shekau himself?

PoliticsRe: Revealed: No Ebola Case In Rivers State, Doctor's Case Was Conspiracy! by glory2glory: 3:36pm On Sep 09, 2014
1MCN: There's a growing and disturbing revelation, or may be rumour, in Rivers state that the story of a doctor who was said to have contracted and died of the deadly ebola virus disease in Port Harcourt was all lies and conspiracy. Late Dr Samuel Enemuo was said to have secretly treated a patient, an ECOWAS Diplomat Ibukun Koye of the disease in a hotel in Port Harcourt, and Mr Koye survived while Dr Enemuo died of the disease.

Recent happenings and information flying around the PH city have thrown up some very curious questions: if Enemuoh died of EVD, why did it take the govt days to come up with that, why is it still unclear whether Enemuo has been buried or not, why is it that no one closest to him has been confirmed a victim of the disease, why did the govt claim that the wife had tested positive and has died while indeed the woman is alive and healthy?

People are now demanding that the dead remains of Enemuoh be subjected to thorough, independent post-mortem to ascertain the true cause of his death as the man is believed to have been murdered with food poison.

A lot of people on the streets of PH believe that all the hoax was for political reasons. Some say that the scare was to deter the TAN group from holding their proposed rally in PH on that week end.

I personally found it too difficult to understand the logical possibilty of the conspiracy as a colleague in the office who is a strong, card-carrying member and supporter of the APC in Rivers state told me this yesterday. But it became all the more disturbing as I went into a govt Commission's office this morning at Trans-Amadi for a local business and heard exactly the same story. A phone caller into one of the programmes on Nigeria Info PH radio station who called at about 10:49 this morning echoed similar verse.

If this conspiracy is anything to go by, then both Federal govt and the Rivers state govt would have a lot of explanations to give to the people of Rivers state and Nigeria. It's important to know that the Rivers State governor was the only state governor in the country who did not attend nor send a representative at the health emergency meeting some time ago held by the president and the minister of health on this EVD situation in the country.
Thank God you mentioned Fed Govt.
This conspiracy theory is easy to prove, is'nt it?
We all know the federal govt is not on the side of the RS govt, so let the minister come out to say it was all a hoax.
Until then, stop peddling false stories unless you want ebola to visit you.

Lies from Rivers PDP.
Unfortunately for them, the FG through the FMOH,WHO representatives, Volunteers from MSF and other volunteers from health workers from Rivers state have been part of the fight to contain the spread of Ebola in Rivers state.
Has'nt the minister of health be giving updates, was he not in PH to see things for himself?
Did'nt the doctor test positive? Was the test not carried out in Lagos? Na Amaechi do the test?
Did'nt the doctor have contact with an infected person? Is his wife not being treated for ebola in Lagos?
If it is a hoax like Rivers PDP and other gullible Rivers people like you want us to believe, why have'nt these other agencies spoken out.
Shame on anyone trying to politicise ebola.

PoliticsRe: I Am From This State: The Latest APC Nairaland Propaganda And Lies by glory2glory: 4:59pm On Sep 08, 2014
Ozin: My friend there is a wide gap between national security and politics. Do not call the forest that shelters you a jungle. All over the world, politicians play politics with everything but not with national security. The ruins of a nation begins in the homes of its people. I do not care if we are being ruled by the "devil" the fact is we must come together as one like it is done in sane countries to speak with one voice when it comes to national security. Wake up!...and seek wisdom and stop the blind support to a party whose only aim, is to get power by any means possible even if it means eliminating all members of your family.
You do not care if you are being ruled by the 'devil' but you care so much about an opposition party that is not ruling you. Like I have said, APC is not the government in power, if the government of the day has failed, blame the government not the opposition party.
PoliticsRe: I Am From This State: The Latest APC Nairaland Propaganda And Lies by glory2glory: 12:31pm On Sep 06, 2014
Ozin: They do everything to undermine the govt of the day, not minding even if it involves national security. To the APC, all is fair in politics even if it will cost them hardship and destroy them. That is why you see them come online to scream hurray when there is news of bokoharam killing our men,and when it is the other way round, they ask for pix . Destroying the gas pipeline, to them is no big deal because GEJ must not be the one to solve the power situation.

They sometimes look for someone who speak and write other Nigerian language to help them construct statement and sentences in a language different from what they speak and write, just to deceive the gullible that they are indeed from that state

The latest joke from this set of political clowns is to claim they are from any state where an issue is politically raised. I found even some clowns in the Akwa Ibom seaport thread claiming they are from the state. Some will tell you they are in Bama and can see our military men running from the haramites.

May the good Lord deliver us from the enemies within that the APC stands for. As far as I am concerned, the APC is more dangerous than Boko-haram and Ebola combined
Op, so anybody who criticises the government of the day is an enemy of Nigeria. Leaders who are doing well in other climes are being criticised, talkless of a society like ours that is crippled with so many problems. Fact is, Nigeria is not much better under Gej, face the truth. PDP has been in power for close to 16years, we are yet to see the desired transformation. In as most politicians are the same, It's the failure of the PDP government that Bokoharam is still having a field day in the north, not APC. It's the failure of the PDP government that there's still no regular power supply, not APC. Stop looking for excuses for the failures of this government.

I wish every Nigerian would critically look at these comparisons, put sentiments aside and vote Buhari, come 2015.
