...i even heard that, if you did not go back to your bank, with 24hours...the card will be destroyed...in the name of trying to avoid FRAUDULENT activity.

It happened to me some years ago. My ATM card was renewed but routed to my maiden branch in Oregun. I applied for another one as the cost of going to Oregun from Ojo is almost the same as the cost of issuing another one. I was thus charged twice. I tried using it on the banks ATM on a public holiday and d machine seized it. I came back for the card a day or two later and was told it has been destroyed and I had to get another one at a cost too.
