GlitteringStar: Hello, I didn't submit anything as evidence for tax filing since I've not yet filed a return (see attached). I think the instruction further says "Estimate your taxable income by taking the total gross income you have received to date in 2017 and adding additional amounts you expect to receive until the end of the calendar year".
Thanks Will call them up since Mine is out of province university And it isn’t showing in the list of approved schools for 2018/2019 yet Wishing you the best! |

I applied for and received OSAP although I ended up not making use of it but I think I applied in June (5 months after landing) and received the payments in August. I am about applying for OSAP 2018/2019 session As a newly landed PR, what did you use for evidence for Tax filing @glitteringstar, your contribution also Please |

Just discovered on my WES page that am the sole recipient, really confused. From my understanding, OCAS is meant to sent my credentials to Humber college or am I missing something. Please if you have applied to Humber college how did you go about it? Deadline is fast creeping up on me. Thanks |

JustinTrudeau: And so i visited British Council yesterday bearing fire and brimstone. I was thinking should i just make my grievance known by shouting and spitting fire but on the second thought i was like you want to shout in a foreign mission, see the security man beside you will just package you out now. They won't even respect you that you're one JustinTrudeau, the PM Canada Nairaland division. So i to calm down, make den no mistake me for terrorist.
When the lady met me i said to her,see ehn i don't know where to start but you guys have made my life difficult, pls release my results.I told her i wont leave until a personnel attend to me. She promptly took my details and dashed off.
She came with the assistant IELTS administrator for Lagos and PH, although i've seen them copy the guy in one of the mails. The guy was just apologising that he just got to know about it 2weeks ago and he has been working on it. He said the investigation team has concluded their investigation just for Cambridge to clear me cos they are all test partners. He also mentioned that they are investigating 2 sessions of my results because of the last one i did.He was not certain of the session.I told him they have been making my life very difficult and stagnant and its affecting my psyche. He said he will still go and follow up wit Cambridge. He said he doesn't collect candidates phone number but he will collect mine.I tink the guy felt for me sha.
The guy further mentioned that they hardly get withheld results in Nigeria that he was surprised,i retorted WHY ME
My people, long and short of it is that my results is still with Cambridge.Dont mind my long epistle,i just had to let it out greater and better things lie ahead PM, this surely will end in Praise. Wish u the best |

Thank you. valenti12: About your WAEC question, i bought a WAEC scratch card(N700), scratched it and wrote out all the details they require on an A4 paper, scanned and uploaded on the school admission page.

Canadianfly: People should really read the CIC website concerning this PR process. All the information you need is on there. It's actually scary that anyone would be winging it and taking everything on NL as fact. Always go back to CIC to verify any info you pick up on here please. Let's stop this lazy attitude. I wonder why , e tire me when I see some questions. |

dupyshoo: I agree with this line of thoughts.
That's why I always advise people to submit bank statements that show one's salary. The fact that someone submitted only FD/Tbills and got quick PPR does not mean everyone will be that lucky. The sample of applicants we see/hear about is small.
I know of some people that London VO called for interview and were asked about their jobs. Some people were even asked to submit photos. So, everyone should be prepared for ADR, which in my own opinion is not bad.
However, I won't advise too much docs as well as it can be counter productive. Submit reference letter and pay slips (if you can). If you are asked for ADR, provide the required information. If you can't provide the docs required, make sure you provide alternative docs and good reasons why you can't provide the required information. very correct!reference letter plus One or two supporting documents can suffice if one wishes. Alas,we all can move on. |

revlane: My PPR story. I am not a fan of travelling so I invested in professional and academic qualifications with an MBA, MSc and chartered qualification, I couldn't achieve my goals. So from the the days of Zandora and Dupsyshoo, I joined to read and just read updates for several months. I wrote IELTS with contribution money and requested for remark when my writing was scored 6.5 and later it was upgraded to 7.5 My WES was smooth with help from a friend who paid part of it. I started this journey as a trial and ran to Australia nairaland because of POF. I came back when the process wasn't favourable. It became more real with ITA on March 1 but the worse happened. I lost all the money I raised for POF to Ponzi Schemes between February and April. From GHW to MMM, all my life savings was gone. And to make maters worse, I lost my job too. Life became meaningless and I was in debt so I relocated back to stay with my parents and they have been feeding me. From giving people money, I could no longer afford recharge card and I scampered around for POF. I submitted my application 6days to deadline. I was stuck later because my POF showed review required in my GCMS. Its was written in capital letters that THE PA HAS FALLEN BELOW REQUIRED POF OF 12,300. And my case was left to pure discretion of the Visa officer and the hand of God. Today its PPR because I never gave up, I knew my downfall wasn't the end of my life and that someday I will smile again. Nothing can stop you except you chose to stop. aka chukwu, better things lie ahead |
