Health / 6 Most Commonly Abused Drugs In Africa by Gluthatione: 6:56pm On Mar 16, 2017
Drug is a chemical substance which is derived from plant, animal or mineral resources(synthetic) which can be used in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases in plant and animal. It can also be defined as a chemical substance which causes a change in physiological function of the body.

Drug a potential poison if not administered properly it can have a very harmful effect on the person taken it and as such it should be handled by a qualified health personnel

Here is list of 6 most commonly abused drugs in Africa

1 PARACETAMOL (ACETAMINOPHEN)

Paracetamol is an analgesic drug which is used in treatment of mild to moderate pain .It also has antipyretic properties(ability to reduce fever). Paracetamol is an over the counter drug (OTC) and the most commonly used analgesic all over the world.

The normal adult dose of Paracetamol should not exceed 4 gram in a day and it should be taken just for 3 days. The Paracetamol overdose can cause severe liver damage that is the reason care must be taken when handling it,but unfortunately people take Paracetamol just anyhow even where there is no need of taking it.

2 Marijuana

Marijuana is one of the most commonly used illicit drug in the world.. In Africa today millions of youth between the ages of 16 to 36 years smoke Marijuana. It is addictive and also has harmful effect on the brain such as decreased in mental ability for those who started as teenagers and other effect such as dry mouth, red eyes, paranoia and anxiety.

3 Tramadol

Tramadol is a weak narcotic analgesic which is used in the treatment of mild to severe pain. Most youths today use tramadol as an aphrodisiac (that is a drug that increases libido) , making it as one of the most abused drug today in Africa.

4 Heroines/Cocaine and other Narcotics

Narcotic analgesics are commonly used in the treatment of moderate to severe pain especially in terminally ill patients. Narcotics are highly addictive because they change the chemistry of the brain: they decrease the perception of the pain and alter body’s reaction to pain. when taken, the body create less endorphins because the effect of narcotics are so much more intense than those of endorphins.

People take narcotics for the ability to reduce pain, create relaxation and for immediate euphoric effect. Narcotics should be discouraged except for clinical use and those who are indulging in taking it should be encouraged to go for drug rehabilitation.

5 Dexametasone

Dexametasone is a corticosteroid which is used in the treatment of many conditions such as rheumatoid problems, severe allergies, skin diseases, asthma and chronic obstructive lung diseases.

Most youth today ignorantly use dexametasone for the purpose of adding weight but unfortunately dexametasone causes d retention in sodium in d body which brings about d accumulation of fluid and this can result in some disease conditions such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension and some other disease conditions.

6 Non Steroidal Anti- Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDS)

These includes diclofenac, ibuprofen, piroxicam, naproxen, teloxicam etc . This class of drug has three properties namely analgesic, anti inflammatory and anti-pyretic properties. They are commonly used for disease conditions such as arthritis, osteoarthritis, dysmenorrhea(painful menstruation) etc. NSAIDS are one of the most abused drugs in Africa because of easy accessibity.

NSAIDS should be used with caution because of various adverse effects such as ulceration heart problem such as myocardial infarction and kidney problems.

Business / Re: $8,550 In The Bank… How To Profitably Flip Your Life To Riches by Gluthatione: 9:45am On Feb 17, 2017
fxbot:
Hello,

Something happened last night that will change your life for good and I decided to blog about it.

I was on Facebook yesterday when a friend buzzed my Facebook box. He wanted to know if it was possible to sell his website that is making him $5 per day. I asked if he has proof of traffic and analytics because those are very important when you want to sell a website and he told me yes.

$5/day is $150 per month. It might look little to a lot of person but here is the truth: A website making as much as $150 per month can be sold for nothing less than $2000. This is because by industry standard, a site is sold for 10 times -15 times the amount of its monthly earnings.

Logically, since this friend of mine is making $150 per month, its current market value would be $150 x 15 = $2250.

Now, going by the current exchange rate of naira to dollar, $2250 X 480 naira is a little above 1 Million naira.

A closer look at the screenshot here shows that he contacted me because he knows I have the experience to lead him right and that is what I want to show you today.

But guess what I told him. I told him not to sell just yet. I told him to work on the site to raise the current earnings to $500/ month. Sure, $2000 is good amount of money right now in Nigeria but what if you have a chance to double it to $10,000? Pretty cool, isn’t it? So based on that, I told him to wait till the earnings has increased to $300-500 per month.

The most surprising thing is that my friend started this website around December 2016. He makes this money from Google Adsense and Adsense site is highly sought after by buyers.

So what do you need to start selling website in 2017?

Just 4 things.

A domain name… This cost $10-12 but you can get one for FREE. if you contact me.
A web hosting account. If you want to sell website for profit you should have money to pay for at least 1 year hosting account.
Profitable niche
Content/Article
You can make money selling your talent or passion through this…

When I look around Nairaland for instance, I see people talk so passionately about football, romance, food, music, celebrity gossips and entertainment without a penny added to their bank account. If you find yourself in this category, your story is about change starting today.

So how can you make money from this listed hobbies or passion spots?

The guy who contacted me is the music niche but is target is international… surprise? You and I know that niche is super HOT, with people looking for where to download the latest song. If you doubt me, ask Makinde Azeez of Naijaloaded.

I also know a lady who loves music so much and she listens to dozens of songs everyday. I once asked her how many songs she has on her phone and she amazingly said over 1000 songs. I asked her where does she get the songs and she mentioned Naijaloaded and some other sites. The internet is infested with chronic music lovers like this one and they are the people who make your site money when they visit it.
Pls I have sent u message pls kindly reply. thanks

Universe is the macrocosm of everything in existence . The billions of galaxies, trillions of stars, trillions of planets , moons, asteroids, comets, meteorite, blackholes and intergalactic space. The observable universe is 91 light years in diameter. A light year( distance that light will travel in a year) is 9 trillion kilometers. So invariably if we are to convert this to kilometer it will be 91 billions x 9 trillions. Don't you think this numerical figure is too outrageous and u know what the universe keeps expanding.
Now with this vastness cosmotogists say only 10% of everything in the universe can only be seen , close to 90% is made up of dark matter and dark energy which cannot be seen because it doesn't reflect light.
I haven't even say anything about diversities of lives on our little planet earth, now lets ponder on all these wonderful creations by God that was the reason the psalmist wrote in the book of Psalm 104:24 How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. So if any of God's creation has good reason to praise the Lord, it is human beings because we are the crown of his creation . We were made in his likeness(Genesis 1:26) and we have the privilege of knowing Him more intimately. Consequently we are expected to submit to his Lordship and live primarily to praise and worship Him with all sincerity of heart.

Business / Re: How I Made N60000 In A Month Writing For A Nairalander: UPDATED by Gluthatione: 11:52am On Feb 11, 2017
mrphysics:
On January first I scanned through the business section of Nairaland, I came across a thread where a nairalander was narrating how he started his blog. On the post, someone asked the blogger if he wants to write, the blogger rejected the offer telling him that he already have writers. I got the number and sent him a whatsapp message. I asked if he still needed a writer and he said yes.
He gave me an article of 500 words to write, I submitted it in an hour, I checked the plagiarism and grammar and they were all unique. I submitted it to him and he was impressed with my work.
we started writing and one thing is that he is very sincere. I had four months to finish service and having served in a polytechnic which is done with the second semester exam to resume April, I have about four months free to write. I knew the time wouldn't waste, so I engaged in freelance writing.

After the buyer accepted the 500 words article, he gave me 750 words, I finished on time and that was how we started working together. I haven't met him and I can't even remember his username here. All I know is his name. I later learnt from him that he has finished serving and to be very sincere, he is one of the most sincere person I have ever met.

I have linked him with other persons and they are doing well. There has never been a week that passed without me making N20000 from him. I wasn't living like a corper anymore.

Prior to the time we met, I have a friend, a nairalander too, who was on fiverr and he was equally writing to someone. He told me how he made a total of N80000 including his NYSC allawee in a month. I was shocked. I serched nairaland and I met with Nairaloan.com. I submitted 10 articles and they paid me 10k on December 22 , 2016. Nairaloan were looking for those who will work into a bank and inquire about the loan options available. I went to Jaiz Bank and got infos and submitted. That was how I got 10k on December.

From 22nd December, I searched through the business section of nairaland and I met with one guy, he was so strict, upon everything I wrote for him, he paid me N8000 on January 1st, 2017, I was so angry that he cheated me. With the stress and everything, I was disappointed. Well shaa, I got the 8k on January first, before I met this great nairalander I now write for. From January 1st to January 31st, he paid me more than N600000, infact, I made N34k on 28 and 29 January. I didn't know that there was something called allawee of 19800. Money I now make in a week.

My fellow corps members who teach in secondary school are paid price ranging from 8k -15k, I make this money in Two days.

When I started, I met someone and he gave me something to write. He is a nairalander, I wrote and submitted, he rejected it and told me that I am not good. If only he knows me. But I wasn't perturbed by that remark, I already know myself and what I can do.

Since then, I stopped wasting my time in Politics section argui about Buharis life and death, I stopped looking for nairalander likes that amounts to nothing. I ceased struggling for FTC that seun doesn't pay for.

After service, while we seek for work, I already know that I have something that can give me atleast 60k a month, while I manage that, I will ask God for more blessings.

There are many sincere nairalanders and for those serving, look for time to freelance, it pays and thw truth is that I work from my house.
Just lask week, someone from nairaland contacted me and we started writing about cars. I didn't ask him where he got my number, since it's for money, we entered the business and it added to the money I make. That one is for gifts, with him, I made N11k though he is yet to pay full but I know he will. I am not bothered because the money is for gifts and I am sure he will.

That's all for now

N/B please ignore any mistake. It's not intentional, blame it on my phone.
Pls I can write well , can you link me up?

In Nigeria when something tragic like this happens we tend to laugh and feel happy about those who were affected by it. You hardly see people rejoice about things like this in other part of the world... Let truth be told
Most of the people who come online to rant and make noise about mmm are members too who are just looking for a means of easing their pains or those who regretted not participating in mmm when it paid and help saved soo many people during the hardship of recession....in Nigeria and africa we are happy at each others downfall... Aside of the fact that mmm issues draws traffic to nairaland I don't see any other reason why nairaland won't let mmm rest... Nairaland has lost competence and credibility since December last year..... Watch out for a new forum.... Www.ogashub.com. ng
Nobody is happy about the downfall of anybody, what's the gain in that is just Nigerians are too gullible to see that the system is not sustainable and liable to crash that is the result of what we are seeing now.
Several people convinced me to invest but I refused because I know the result is going to be disatrous.

Heaven's applause is the most important applause any child of God should want to listen to. As a matter of fact, we should check ourselves when people like Atiku are commending us, and this is why I've always had my reservations about Pastor Adeboye. Politicians flock his church like bees in their colonies, and yet do not turn from their evil ways. I can bet it with anyone that they are not being told the whole truth of the gospel. If I as a Christian hardly get blessed by his ministration, how much less unbelievers (politicians)!

I was glad momentarily yesterday for RCCG when news broke out that he had resigned as GO, only to be told again that he still remains the GO. Well, that's their business but I think RCCG needs a fresh move of God and a GO who preaches without fear or favour and truly defends the faith in Nigeria and beyond.

Our generation needs the next Kumuyis and Gbile Akannis if Christianity will not become a superficial religion in Nigeria and Africa.
If u hardly bless by his ministration, whose fault, I think the fault is from you. I'm not a member of RCCG but I have been richly blessed by his ministry likewise millions of people around d globe.
