No he didn't specify but it's likely that there will test considering the large number of applicants. my thinking though

@omelemao, this evening I called a guy whom we meet monthly at Nigerian Society of Engineers meetings & who happens to be a staff of the DPR in one of their field offices. Infact the guy in question is a union member & he told me that IVs could start going out this week or next.

My ppl, this morning i was informed by a friend & colleague at work that he called some one in DPR lagos office yesterday. As most of us already know, shortlisting has been done & FCC contacted in that regard. They (DPR) are now awaiting FCC's go ahead to conduct the test. Another information he gave is that DPR has terminated the contract with the Consultant which is supposed to arrange & conduct the test. What we don't know is that: is DPR going to conduct the test by itself? Some are saying no because they think DPR don't have the capacity to do that while others think it is still going to be given to a consultant. The guy told him that it is difficult even for somebody in the head office to get much information about the whole thing because it is treated as highly confidential. This is just what i heard & I taught i should share with u in the spirit of togetherness. Thanks

let us stop deceiving ourselves, shortlisting has no business with the budget. the truth is take ur mind off this recruitment because even if them Want take 99% of ppl here would not make it going by the number of applications cos no matter how much dpr one recruit them no go recruit pass 100 people while over 500,000 applied.

I quite agree shortlisting has no business with the budget, if u cud remember i said an insider (Staff) informed us that they are awaiting passage of the budget before calling ppl for the test. I am only saying what i heard from a source & NOT making assumptions.
And about taking off one's mine on the recruitment is not a good idea. It is now 5 months + since the application was closed & expectation is that any time soon candidates will be contacted for test considering the amount of time already wasted. There is absolutely nothing to loose & everything to gain concerning this matter. Afterall perseverance, commitment, focus & prayers will surely bring any one success. Good luck all

Today the Senate receives 2017 Budget report from the Joint Committee on Appropriation & Finance of the 2 Chambers of the NA, fixes Thursday for passage. Let them pass the 2017 Appropriation Bill come Thursday, 11th May so that Gov't will work. As we all know, a lot of things are stalled as a result of not passing the 2017 budget including this DPR recruitment as speculated by insiders. Let's hope & pray things work out well for us all in the few weeks ahead. Remain blessed

My ppl, a friend & colleague of mine @ work informed me this evening that his class mate while in school who now works with DPR Lagos office told him that the delay we r xperiencing in this recruitment is as a result of NASS not passing the 2017 budget. I asked him if the recruitment is part of this yrs budget & he said yes according to his friend.
The Senate planned to pass the budget in March but cudnt & shifted to end of April still as @ 2day nothing of sort happened. But if u hav followed news 2day, u will understand that the Senate leader ensured that everything will be ready by next week & the budget will be sent to the president for assent. He stated that the govt is currently running on last yrs budget & that the grace will expire Friday next week (5th May). He went on & mentioned that unless the budget is passed within that time the govt will be heading 4 a partial shutdown as it cannot be able to fund capital vote & only 60% of the recurrent vote.
Lets hop all these to be true & comes to pass as promised. Fingers crossed & patiently waiting.

This is to inform u all that the last recruitment wasn't concluded according a reliable source. A friend & colleague of mine while we were in sch. & whose uncle is the ag. chairman of the fed. character commission told me that he once asked the chairman about the the recruitment & he told him that the immediate past commissioners before leaving office took to fcc a list of candidates they wanted to recruit & in response fcc sent them away because due process wasn't followed. I believe the story & this means that the recruitment wasn't concluded. New commissioners have resumed work though without a chairman with the vice chairman acting for the chairman. I also heard that many MDAs are recruiting this year & NERC is one of them. So may be (just may be) the recruitment will be started afresh. Stay blessed

Johnny don't worry about statuses not changing from pending successful submission to approved as we all know that there has been technical difficulties experienced in the portal since the beginning. I just feel that DPR will contact shortlisted candidates 4 test via e-mails &/or SMSs when it is time. They (DPR) know better than any body about issues in the portal. So i don't think there should be panic if one doesn't see an approved in his/her dashboard especially when the person knows that he/she is fully qualified. This is just my opinion though.
As 4 d info given by aodis, i confirmed same. I have a friend & colleague at work who has a friend working there in the Hq in Lagos & he told him that list of shortlisted candidates 4 the test is being compiled & will be reached out to soon. I am also digging 4 more info & will update as soon as I have latest. For d time being, I advice we keep praying & working hard.

I just spoke to them at DPR, they have started compiling, and would send to the emails. The guy kept on telling to check my emails regularly so as not to miss it.

Kudos to u aodis 4 going this far in contacting them, u've given an important update that will shape ppl's preparation. I totally believe u. Did u contact them by phone or by visit & do u hv idea as per which consultant wil b responsible 4 d test & also the format? Thanks in anticipation of ur response.

Yes u r right. According to the disclaimer some fraudsters r extorting money from unsuspecting applicants that they will favour them in the recruitment, I think the info got 2 DPR which was why they placed that notice.
