And the South had budget surplus

In order to nullify the Northern Protectorate budget deficit

So he decided to amalgamate the Southern and Northern Protectorates

He was using the revenue generated in the the South to execute the projects in the North

This is still the case we are having in Nigeria

The Northern Nigeria is almost 100% dependent on the South

These fools, like two weeks ago were acting as if food importation to the South was a favour to us

If the South start producing food in abundance, the North will be in serious trouble

Because agriculture is the only thing they have and we are their market

The moment we stop being their market, they are doomed

The North will do everything to make sure Nigeria doesn't break

Because they will be the worst victims

The North has always been at the South mercy since Lord Lugard brought us together

Nigeria is not working

But politicians are the beneficiaries of this situation

Apparently they don't have that power unless the people (Victims of bad governance) hand it to them
