Majority of APC governors are from the North while majority of PDP governors are from the South. So, the now popular PO will end up diminishing PDP block votes from the SS&SE. A vote from a single LGA from Kano or Katsina is almost equal to the entire crowd that came out for PO in Onitsha. Adeyanju is right, a lot of folks forgets that APC remains the ruling party. Buhari has already said he will campaign vigorously for the party (especially in the North). Tinubu & other leaders will take care of the south west, while alliances would be made to salvage votes from SS&SE to make up some numbers. My view.

Tambowal seems to have escaped this trap by stepping down and not being on ballot for PDP presidential primary. Those who stepped down can argue that they didn't participate in two different primaries since they were not voted for in one of the primaries.

The Electoral Acts didn't cover stepping down or not, it frowns at an individual applying for two political offices at the same time, meaning Gov. Tambuwal collected & filled two forms by himself, Presidential & Senatorial Elections. He as well as contravened the stipulations of the electoral bill that was signed into law.

In as much that I don't want Tinubu to be disqualified does not mean you should not know that the result of the screening cannot be known immediately, the successful screened aspirants names will be pasted after the screening committee must have completed her duty.

Disqualifying Tinubu is as well sending APC out of power, he has the single largest fan base and political structure all over the country. He is an enigma, they can only prevail on him to support another candidate, but disqualifying him would simply deplete greatly the chances of APC. Cuz PDP would campaign with everything this time around.

I concur with the writer, those are very clear comparisons, but, it seems from inception of this APC government, they seems to be wary of Tinubu's Presidency. He's wealthy and highly influencial, the fear is adding *POWER* to his acumen. But the facts still remains that among the APC presidential contestants, I see only Jagaban as the most formidable politician.
