Penguin2:

Rest.

Obi was returned unopposed by voice affirmation.

So there was no need for voting by delegates.

But even if delegates voted, the presidential primary happened over one year ago and can no longer be challenged.

Tell your paymasters to try another thing.

But the same Obi is challenging the election that was held months ago. The Nigerian constitution does not recognize independent candidacy, so therefore, a party must nominate a candidate, a process that must follow every laid down guidelines as spelt out by the electoral acts 2022 as amended. It applies to every party, not just LP. So, if any political parties does not follow due process in it's conduct of party delegate nominations or candidate nominations, then, that party is in trouble.
So, LP threw the first few punches, don't expect the other side to turn the other cheek.

Lol

If this is confirmed to be true, then Tinubu Owambe boys’ year is made.

But that this phone call took this long to happen is enough to tell you that the US had, and still has, her reservation on the conduct and outcome of the election.

This can only be the product of intense lobbying and extraction of one million and one commitments from Tinubu.

But if the US makes the mistake of supporting an illegitimate and suppressive government in Nigeria like they did during the Apartheid Regime in South Africa which is why the ANC party which displaced the Apartheid government has made themselves enemies of the US. I hope tomorrow when we recover our mandate and starts going against their interest they will not complain.

Tinubu is a mandate thief.

A drug baron.

A vagabond with no known history.

A certificate forger.

A corrupt being.

And no one voted for him.

Your English is clear enough, but your statements are filled with name calling, envy, delusions & clear stupidity. 8.7million including myself voted for him, you can be no one, but we are somebody. Idiot.

2023 is a goalllllllllll......
Seriously Enough is Enough.
Although I'm a fanatical supporter of Asiwaju and Sen. Shettima, but seriously enough is enough.
I don't know who the inner caucus of Asiwaju are,but these men and women must tell Asiwaju to stop attacking Alh Atiku and Peter Obi.
It makes for good television but I believe Asiwaju has more than enough stories to tell Nigerians on why he should be the next president of Nigeria.
I love listening to Sen. Gov Shettima, the man can intimidate you with figures and data, infact he has intimidated Peter Obi that Obi has stopped calling fictitious figures on the campaign ground.
I will never vote for Alh Atiku but I like his campaign style,he never insults his opponents,he has left that duty to his attack dogs,I believe Asiwaju should also do the same.
Asiwaju has so many success stories to boast of while he was in charge of Lagos,he must begin to force Atiku and Obi to give account of their 8 yr stewardship when they served Nigeria.
One of Asiwaju success stories in Lagos State was his handling of Waste Management.
Only a genius like Asiwaju could turn waste in Lagos to a money spinner, from employing thousands of young people, modernising the waste collection process in Lagos to efficiently liberalising the collection and disposal of waste in Lagos State, Asiwaju must begin to intimidate his opponents with his stories.
Asiwaju must rule Nigeria.
God bless Nigeria.

Exactly my thoughts, I don't like the way Asiwaju attacks is opponents, i expect him not to retaliates with ideas.
Politics / Re: Why Tribunal Sacked Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke by Goalgetter23(m): 12:20am On Jan 28, 2023
Faiththatworks:
Although I feel very sad about the outcome of the Tribunal, but there are certain facts that must be established.
Gov Oyetola's argument has always been hinged on overvoting in some local government especially in All the Ede Local government councils.
According to a report I read from an election observer group, voting continued until around 7 to 8pm in some local governments in Osun State.
The inec law is irrefutable about all voting stopping by exactly 4pm,any vote cast after 4pm is deemed illegal, infact it says only accredited voters are allowed to vote, and accreditation of voters stops way before the voting ends.
My humble submission to Gov Adeleke is to go back and find a way to tally the figures he had by 4pm on election day in all the local government in Osun. The Bvas should have the figures if what inec tells us is true.
I'm not a lawyer but I daresay no court in Nigeria will allow the final figures put forward by Gov Adeleke to stand.
He should preferably argue that the over voting should be deducted and not the whole cancellation of polling booths as these would amount to disenfranchisement of a lot of voters,or push for a rerun in those cancelled polling booths.
Either way this case looks really hopeless for Gov Adeleke, this is a clear message to politicans who want to rig in next month Elections, bvas will stop you if you dare try to inflate your figures.
God bless Nigeria.

I really appreciate & admire your submissions. I'm not a lawyer myself, but would just add a little submissions, based on my little knowledge of the new electoral act 2022 as amended.
1). It's stated in the EA that in any polling unit were a case of over voting is established, it's outright cancellation. Meaning, it's assumed voting didn't take place.
Therefore, it'll be quiet challenging for Gov. Adeleke to ask for over voting deductions or re-run, the EA is clear enough on the issue of over voting. That was why the Tribunal gave a majority judgement, meaning all the Judges agreed with the prayers of Gov. Oyetola.

2). 4pm voting deadline.
Vote timing can sometimes be debatable. If the total numbers of BVAS accredited voters are still voting, such that they last till past 4pm, I think the results could still be accepted. Just me saying....

Whichever way, I appreciate the fact that Osun Election has shown that BVAS is excellent, but Nigerians ain't ready for a transparent election. The PO, PO1 & others were compromised. They should be sourced for & brought to book.

I lowkey don’t want them to endorse Tinubu self. It’s not really good for the optics.

—In Oyo, with our without Makinde, Jagaban will clear the votes.

—In Rivers, we have some Jagaban loyalist like Abe, Tonye, and Amaechi. They should be able to mobilize some votes like they did for Buhari in 2019 where he got 30% of Rivers vote. Jagaban can negotiate with Wike ALONE to give some conceding so APC can get the neccessary 25% in Rivers.

—Enugu and Abia won’t still vote APC much with or without their governor endorsing Tinubu.

—Ortom is finished in Benue. Father Alia has more clout than him and it’s better Jagaban invest more in Father than wasting time with a failure like Ortom.

I will rather Jagaban leave the G-5 to support anyone they want to support. Just negotiate with Wike alone to give 25% in Rivers and tone down the vote. Wike will already send out fire to kill Atiku chance in Rivers so Jagaban don’t need to waste resources.

However, Atiku might use the G-5 endorsement against Tinubu in the North to curry sentiment against him. It’s dicey, but I will always trust Tinubu decision because he is a thorough bred politician.

Too much sense won't kill you my brother, what a nice and realistic analysis. I concur with your detailed analysis. I would just add a little more points.

If the Muslim - Muslim ticket wasn't in the offing, Tinubu wouldn't have needed their support, but with a M-M ticket, he'll likely lose some traditional votes, that's why he has to look for additional votes elsewhere to cushion the effect & balance those reduced votes from majority xtian states.

The G-5 would prefer to support Obi, but the delimma here is the fact that any candidate they support must win, in consideration for their own political survival.

Even if they return to PDP & Atiku wins, they ll do everything to frustrate them out of PDP still. They have done much damage to Atiku's election already.

Should they decide to work for Tinubu, it should be secretive and not open endorsement cux the North might take up the sentiments as southern gang up.

Above all, Tinubu has more work to do, he has to cross the dots & tick every marks. It's needed.

15 states sure for Tinubu as at today. All 6 SW states, Borno, Yobe, kwara, kogi, Zamfara, Kebbi, Gombe, Niger and Katsina

About 6-7 states are a potential win but also a possible loss for Tinubu- Kano, Jigawa, Nassarawa, Plateau, Kaduna, Benue and River states if Wike chooses to support

15 states are almost sure loss- all 5 SE states, 5 SS states excluding rivers, Bauchi, Adamawa, Taraba, Sokoto

I think I like your analysis, but there's need for some adjustments. Nobody is talking about Cross river state? APC would do well in Ebonyi,Kano & Sokoto, APC would win Kaduna and Jigawa, thou, the margin might be close. The election is getting closer, now everyone can see where the pendulum is swinging.
