Thanks to NOUN and the prison authorities for rehabilitating those inmates

At least they will become useful to themselves and the society after serving their jail terms

FG should make NOUN more attractive considering the huge amount of money the federal government generates from that school.

As the largest tertiary institution In Nigeria, i believe NOUN has the capacity to change the ugly story of Nigeria as one of the countries with the highest level of illiteracy

Seven prisoners have graduated from the national open university of Nigeria NOUN.

The inmates in port Harcourt maximum security custodial center all bag bachelors degree.

Of the seven graduates, two of them graduated with second class upper (2.1)

While the remaining five finished with second class lower (2.2)

NOUN registrar encouraged other inmates to take advantage of the opportunity to develop themselves.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved a flat rate increase by N100 in bus fares for all Bus Rapid Transit, BRT, and Standard routes as part of measures to sustain operations.

The increase, which is scheduled to commence on Wednesday, 13 July 2022, was said to aim at ensuring sustainability of the BRT and standard route schemes.

Assistant Director, Corporate Communication, Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, LAMATA, Kolawole Ojelabi, who announced this yesterday, explained that the operations of the transport scheme, in recent times had been hampered due to rising cost of inputs required for sustainable service offering and the attendant high number of buses out of operation as a result of lack of spare parts.

When the new rates finally commence, a bus ride from Ikorodu – TBS will cost N600 from N500, while Berger to Ajah is now N700, up from N600. Oshodi to Abule Egba will cost N450 from N350 and Abule-Egba-CMS-Obalende will attract a fare of N600.

President Muhammadu Buhari has called on Nigerians in the diaspora to always contribute their quota to the development of the nation.

He made the call on Wednesday when he met with selected Nigerians in Lisbon, Portugal.

‘‘In every field of human endeavour, be it the creative industries, sports, health, academia, Nigerians in the diaspora have thrived and leveraged their skills to raise our country’s profile higher, economically, socially, technologically, and culturally,” Buhari said according to a statement issued by his media aide, Garba Shehu on Thursday.

‘‘It is for these reasons that this Government established the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) to facilitate and support your engagement with our country for a win-win outcome in our effort to keep Nigerians united at home and abroad.

‘‘You must continue to be our ambassadors-at-large in your comportment, actions, and character. You must excel and be the best in all your endeavours. While here, you must also not forget home as you are the example we want to project to the rest of the world.

I pray and hope this man never comes out of this. Even if he isn't guilty, he is guilty many times over of making the lives of Nigerians unbearable. If this will be the best way to get justice, let him get it in hundred folds. He needs to learn what it means to be in prison and get screwed in the rear like the ahole he is. Bunch of legislative criminals. His criminal counterparts are also organizing a solidarity visit. That's not surprising.
