Dictators have no loyalty to anyone but themselves. Israel thought they had a friend in Putin and that's why they haven't openly condemned the war in Ukraine. They allowed all the Russian oligarchs seek refuge in Israel once the war started thinking they will score some points in the eyes of Putin.

Time and time again, history has shown us that you cannot court dictators with kindness. You cannot tame tyranny with love. The only thing that can stop tyrants, is a stronger military.
