Could you imagine the total earnings in your lifetime achieved based on the fact that you have a certificate. The certificate begets certificates in the event that you use the earnings in training your children.

According to my own experience; Once someone, genuinely give him/her life to Jesus Christ, the power to resist ungodly lives and worldly lives, will be giving to such one from above, the feelings and the urge will still be there, but the grace and the ability to always over come, will always be supply unto us, you just need to pray often, study your bible often, and visit the house of God often; Ask God to give you godly mindset, power over your will, and separate yourself from your old friends, give them break, for the many time, untill you receive the power from above, to say No, to anything that contradict the will of God.

What Jesus was talking about here is that we christians should not chant our prayers like the heathens do.

Some religions like budhism can chant the same word or phrase many times during their prayers and meditations. And I've listened to muslim prayers where they chant "laila illa la" continuously for long. And there are other religions like that.

Jesus said we should not do that when we pray. That the Father does not hear us because we chant a word or repeat a phrase many times when we pray but because we ask in faith.

Ofcourse, He doesn't mean that we cannot ask the same prayer request again and again whenever we come into God's presence. Persistence and importunity is allowed in prayers, but not repetitive chanting like the heathen.

Jesus Himself prayed the same request a few times when He went into the Father's presence.

Matthew 26v39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt

44 And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, SAYING THE SAME WORD.

Paul also besought for the same request a few times;

2Cor 12v8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

Also, in the parable that Jesus gave to teach us to keep asking until we receive, the widow kept coming to the judge and asking the same thing.

Luke 18v3 -And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.

So persistence is allowed in prayers but not repetitive chant like pagans.

This write up touched my heart. I am sure it will
touch yours too.
A few years ago a group of salesmen went to a
regional sales convention in Chicago .. They had
assured their wives that they would be home in
plenty of time for Friday night's dinner. In their
rush, with tickets and briefcases, one of these
salesmen inadvertently kicked over a table which
held a display of apples. Apples flew everywhere.
Without stopping or looking back, they all
managed to reach the plane in time for their
nearly-missed boarding...
ALL BUT ONE!!! He paused, took a deep breath,
got in touch with his feelings and experienced a
twinge of compassion for the girl whose apple
stand had been overturned.
He told his buddies to go on without him, waved
good-bye, told one of them to call his wife when
they arrived at their home destination and explain
his taking a later flight. Then he returned to the
terminal where the apples were all over the
terminal floor.
He was glad he did. The 16-year-old girl was
totally blind! She was softly crying, tears running
down her cheeks in frustration, and at the same
time helplessly groping for her spilled produce as
the crowd swirled about her; no one stopping and
no one to care for her plight.
The salesman knelt on the floor with her,
gathered up the apples, put them back on the
table and helped organize her display. As he did
this, he noticed that many of them had become
battered and bruised; these he set aside in
another basket.
When he had finished, he pulled out his wallet
and said to the girl, "Here, please take this $40
for the damage we did. Are you okay?"She
nodded through her tears. He continued on with,
"I hope we didn't spoil your day too badly."
As the salesman started to walk away, the
bewildered blind girl called out to him, "Mister...."
He paused and turned to look back into those
blind eyes. She continued, "Are you Jesus?"
He stopped in mid-stride .... and he wondered. He
gently went back and said, "No, I am nothing like
Jesus - He is good, kind, caring, loving, and
would never have bumped into your display in the
first place.
"The girl gently nodded: "I only asked because I
prayed for Jesus to help me gather the apples.
He sent you to help me, so you are like Him - only
He knows who will do His will. Thank you for
hearing His call, Mister."
Then slowly he made his way to catch the later
flight with that question burning and bouncing
about in his soul: "Are you Jesus?"
Do people mistake you for Jesus?
That's our destiny, is it not? To be so much like
Jesus that people cannot tell the difference as we
live and interact with a world that is blind to His
love, life and grace.
If we claim to know Him, we should live, walk and
act as He would. Knowing Him is more than
simply quoting scripture and going to church. It's
actually living the Word as life unfolds day to
day.
You are the apple of His eye even though you,
too, have been bruised by a fall. He stopped what
He was doing and picked up you and me on a hill
called Calvary and paid in full for our damaged
fruit.

It is a pity that many believers failed to know that the way you dress speak volumes about the state of your mind if you are proud you will put on things that are artificial, things that are not real, why? You want to show to them that you are above the people around you, so you become fake not original, the truth is humility makes us real. It makes us to be contented with whatever we have.

The way we talk, the way we move, the way relate with people depict whether we are proud or humble.

People that put themselves above others will be disgraced.

Why are you seeking for high position? You want to oppress others? Why do you want to become a Pastor? Reverend, senators, Bishop, Governor.

Do you want to use your position to oppress others.

Do not seek for position. Let the position seek you.

It takes humility to take such a stand.


True humility is to continue to learn even from the cleaner in your office. Regardless of your education, stay humble, and you will be a better person.

If you have done something bad, you will need humility to own up to what you didn't do right and apologized that you are sorry.

The proud man has no vision of moving forward, he believes that he has achieved everything, so, he stopped making progress.

The devil is preaching , pursue success, by all means get power, be desperate for high position, do anything to get money and be rich.

God is preaching love, forgiveness, humility, service and faithfulnes.

Practice humility, by this you will get to know that somebody somewhere is superior than you.

It takes humility to differentiate between what is right and what is wrong.
You are more concerned about what is right not who is right.
You acknowledged your weakness and expose it.

Humility is not weakness. You only discover that you are strong.


The bottom line for all Christians is that we make some mistakes in our christian journey, We are still battling with some sins in our walk with God, for example, I still get angry, I am praying to God to give me the grace to overcome anger.
We need to be sincere and honest with ourselves, then we go down, humble ourselves and lie flat, asking for God's Mercy to deliver us from besetting sins that have been in the blood about four generations ago.

If you say you have no sin, you are deceiving yourselves, be humble and ask divine ability to overcome that sin dragging you to hell.

Remember, God resisted the proud but gives grace to the humble.

Whether you like it or not it will take the mercy of God to take us to heaven, no matter your high level of spirituality.

The humble man ask for mercy while the proud believes he has already made heaven.

The truth is the present day Christians are very far from the truth about making heaven.

The Bible says, if the righteous are scarcely save where will the ungodly and sinners appear.

The Bible says, Work out your salvation with fear and trembling.


What we need to make us ready for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ are not presented to believers.

Visit any church on Sunday, you will hardly see preachers talking about, Repentance, holiness, sinners in the hand of angry God, How to run away from sin, Rapture, stealing from God, Anger management, Flee from fornication, Adulterers are going to hell, Hell is real, Heaven is sure and so on. All the messages that will make you sober, think and become a better christian are fast dissappearring from the pulpit.


What you will see preachers preaching are You are going to the top, Prosperity is your portion. You are born to win, Deliverance , I shall not die untimely, healing galore, Miracle explosions.

These are good topics, bread and butter will not take anybody to heaven.
What we need now, especially when Nigeria is so corrupt is strong meat, messages of repentance.

Churches are not helping the society, Christian dressing is the worst, even Muslim dressed better than the believers.

It is so bad.

I rest my case.
