Anambra Election: Obi carpets APC, says protest at INEC headquarters is ‘foolish’ By Wale Odunsi on December 5, 2013 Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, on Wednesday lambasted the protest organised by the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the outcome of Anambra governorship election, describing the action as not only “unwise but foolish”. Obi who spoke at Alex Ekwueme’s Square where he distributed 280 brand new vehicles to Directors of the local government system and 80 buses to local councils, said as far as he is concerned, the governorship election is over. He wondered why people without origin in Anambra, would believe that their own party deserved to win the election. According to him, those who went to protest in Abuja did so because of selfish reasons, not because they love Anambra people. “How many Anambra people participated in the Abuja protest over the election,” Obi quipped. “To make the matter worse, some of the home states of those who filed out in protest against Anambra election, are burning and they could not proffer solution to the problem.” “How, as outsiders, would you weep more than the bereaved,” he asked rhetorically. On the governor-elect, Willie Obiano, Obi said he has no agreement with him and does not require anything from him. “Fortunately, he has more enough personal wealth before coming to contest the governorship election; and so, my advice to him is: serve the people. I have no agreement with him. I don’t need anything from him”. Obi praised Anambra people for voting for continuous progress of the state and for its future. I doubt if Tambuwal is still in PDP's agenda. PDP have moved beyond Tambuwal |
Just heard it in the news now. More update coming soon. |
Why won't this thread make homepage for God's sake? Are all our moderators enemies of progress? |
This man try die. . . May God bless him to deliver more Team Fresh Air!!!! |
Gradually, Faggae and his APC politicians will be left alone |
donphilopus: Sincere 9gerian in action, with his alternate moniker! SmhWho is "Sincere 9gerian"? Mumu, Wake up! |
They are also silent about the 181 thugs APC and Aregbesola dispatched to go help rig elections for Ngige in Anambra. If not for social media, they planned to kill this "Go and Die" matter. |
Is he a politician? I see another Ifeanyi Ubah coming to waste his money. |
APC trying to kill Nigeria's education in the name of politics. God pass them. UNN resumed lectures today. Same with ESUTH. |
To hell with ASUU!! Playing politics with our children's future |
God pass them. Punch expecially will not report this story. |
Rochas Okorocha and Ameachi are next

egift: God bless the Man-Of-The-People! PDP could not even manage a free opportunity. Gov. Adams keep up the good work.PDP are not touts like your Liar Muhammed and Tinubu. The party doesn't do eye-service and make unnecessary noise. |
Anti Peoples congress (APC). Also, tell Fashola to drop his ego and do something for Igbos he illegally detained and later dumped at Onitsha bridge at midnight. |
20pounds: Pls I have a few questions.Bros, this is the dumbasss situation we find ourselves in this country. Even the APC media and their e-rats here on nairaland opening their stinking mouths did everything to justify the action of Fashola when he sacked Lagos doctors for striking. All of them now suddenly support ASUU because they see it as an opportunity to run down the federal govt. And we expect Nigeria to progress with these tribal, religious, ethnic, political sentiments beclouding our sense of reasoning? |
Your detractors are a bunch of losers. Carry go!!! |
Very old story. I won't be surprise though if our lousy APC moderators move it to homepage |
That video moves me to tears each time I watch it. The woman was crying, rolling on the ground, holding back her wears, begging and then appealed to Oshiomole "my governor pls. . . I am a wodow" but her governor responded immediately "You are a widow, go and die!" |
Sorry Junaid, Jonathan will run and he will win. That hard talk is not new. Adamu Ciroma and his other charlatans including the blood tasty Buhari dished out more venom before 2011 elections. |
karl max: Joining APC not solution to PDP crisis – LAMIDO |
According to sources, who pleaded not to be named . . . The Nation Newspaper is lying |
Wicked Ameachi!!! Devil incarnate Ameachi!!! Wicked in high places!!! |
gregg2: Tribalism is Nigeria's biggest problem. It's not a coincidence that: The bolded will surprise Satan too |
Punch is just doing dirty job for Asiwaju Progrethieves Congress. The fact that The Nation comes second rubbishes this award. These two media outfits are very bias and merely thrive on sensational journalism. I am not surprised anyway, The Republican Party in US also influence awards for Fox News and other of their media outfit. It's Politics. |
Who are the people giving them this award? Investigate and you will find out it is the same people whom Punch is working for. Are you surprise that The Nation is taking second place? |
Sincere 9gerian: Majority of the mainstream media houses have turned deaf ears to this development. Where is Tinubu's Punch, Nations, Osundefender, Premium Times, etc? What about the santimonous imbecilles that pontificate for us on NL? Okay, they'r still busy examining the age of an aircraft with electronic microscope all in a bid to find fault in whatever Stella Oduah does. That useless, good-only-for-akara PUNCH is still busy plotting how to blackmail and foist a sack or resignation on Oduah. The late owner of that newspaper must be turning in his grave in anger over what the present management have turned his once revered media outfit into. |
One New PDP senator from Sokoto started that allegations all because the CBN and NNPC refused to honour his committee's invitation to appear before it. It was a deliberate attempt to blackmail the NNPC and CBN. |
