Hear this, the Igbo can no longer be marginalized in Nigeria. The era in which others dictated Igbo identity or defined who is Igbo has come to an irrevocable end.

In my view, Anioma should finally reunite with their kin, together with all those who now wish to realign their identity. This includes, but is not limited to, all Ika and Igboakiri (Igbanke) communities.

Furthermore, boundary adjustments are necessary to integrate Igbo communities in Benue and Kogi into Enugu and Ebonyi, while the Igala areas of Anambra should be properly delineated into Kogi where they rightly belong.

Similarly, boundaries should be clearly and correctly demarcated between Rivers and Imo, as well as between Akwa Ibom, Cross River, and Abia taking pre colonial and ancestral coherence into consideration.

If indeed Nigeria stands by the principle of “no victor, no vanquished,” then these matters should be addressed promptly in the interest of peace, justice, and national reconciliation.

These are the low-hanging fruits we should be moving swiftly to harvest.

Why not sue for peaceful Nigeria, add one more state to SE to reduce agitation. Landmass only is not the yardstick but also population density. SE population is more than North central and nearly equal to SW with your 6 state and landmass.

In terms of land mass and population, the SE can not get additional state without due consideration to other regions.

One more state in the SE mean one more state in all the 6 geo political zones.

Nigeria cannot afford 42 states right now with our resources and debt burdens.

Besides, the SE should tell us in one voice where they truly belong.
