The 90 days Kanu requested was for him to conclude his defence, not to begin it. You’re mixing up two different things.
Simply put, he asked the court to let his defence period run for 90 days in total. So, he's not delaying his trial.

If his 90 days request was granted, he will still seek another extension even before the expiration of the 90 days.

Sowore's protest is not a waste of time. The court will continue to postpone and adjourn the case till only God knows when ..

I think the protest has helped to hastened the court case and soon, kanu's fate will be determined.
