Any help Frankrobbn1:
That's where the major problem lies, the visa officers don't even believe our bank statements because they know that some applicants go as far as borrowing funds from friends/relatives for the purpose of securing visa talk less of paystubs from a company in Nigeria which is mere designed paper from the company's account officer.

Wow congratulations this transcript really encourages me a lot God bless your new journey ........which location please CephasNMR:
Thanks to Almighty God that helped me throughout this pursuit. My Story is a long one but I will like to share my transcript with you here.
First interview Delayed VO: good morning Me: good morning VO: can you pass me your documents Me: sure VO: can you tell me about your application process Me: Immediately after my undergraduate studies due to my passion for graduate school I proceed to research gate where I got to know about Prof Honglan of MS&T and Prof Sarah Green of MTU and Nadine Kabengi of GSU whose work coincides my interest and I write to them and they encourage me to apply in which I did by submitting my academic transcript and my GRE Score in which I had a score of 310.
Long silence.....
VO: so why did you choose MS&T Me: coupled with the fact that I was given a full funding that covers my entire cost of attendance VO (cuts in): How will you be covering the deficit Me ( my mind skipped): there's no deficit ma, check well the funding covers the expenses VO (shout back): what was stated here is 50% assistantship, can you show me a proof of your assistantship letter Me: I passed it VO: keeps typing and eventually disapprove the application
Second Interview VO: good morning Me: good morning VO: can you pass me your documents Me: sure VO: Why MS&T Me: coupled with the fact that I was given a full funding which covers my entire cost of attendance, Prof Honglan works on waste water treatment which is a continuation to my undergraduate studies VO: What will you be doing with this degree Me: This degree will equip me with the resqusite skills to pick up a job of lead research scientist at FEPA VO: how are you sure you'll be getting the Job Me: which kind question is this again but I opened my mouth and tell her that my current boss works with the ministry of environment and she's a consultant so definitely I'll be getting the Job VO: okay I saw that you have funding which covers your expenses but 50% assistantship was stated here did you have a spreadsheet that shows the breakdown Me: haaa. Okay, I don't have spread sheet but I have a graduate offer letter VO: turned it down and eventually declined the visa
Third Interview
Me: Good morning VO: Good morning Me: How are you VO: Fine can you pass me your documents Me : Sure VO: why MS&T Me: due to the fact that MS&T is one of the leading research universities in environmental related issues, I will be working with Prof Honglan whose research is a continuation of my undergraduate project which I worked on adsorption method but Prof Honglan will be working on development of nanoadsorbent VO: who'll be funding the studies Me: I got a full scholarship from the department in terms of GRA VO: but I saw 50% assistantship here Me: yes the assistantship is a 50% full time employment which covers my expenses, I have my offer letter here. ( I slide it to her immediately) I also have a funding calculator from the Graduate office can I pass it over VO: no need VO: so how did you get this assistantship Me: I wrote a graduate record examination in which I had a score of 310, can I pass the report sheet to you VO: no, so what will you be doing with this degree Me: I will be coming back to Nigeria to fill up the vacuum of lead research analyst at FEPA where I did my undergraduate internship in conjunction with UI and I was awarded as one of the best intern, so with this recommendations and degree I'll be able to get the Job Vo: it's enough.. Long silence... Me: kilotunde bayiiii, answer me jare and let me go Vo: are you married Me: (so fast, not now) No VO: I will be approving your visa ..... Me: ( I hope you are not talking to me) one small tears just drop for my eye, I quickly package my self and collect the white paper and waka jeje |

I can’t really tell but I feel the person who hasn’t applied before would see an earlier date ...but it doesn’t matter because once that particular date is open it shows available number of people both new and previously denied who can choose that day so it’s all about you praying to get an earlier date Friedpotato: bro, if someone that's been previously denied and one who hasn't applied before apply for VISA the same time.. are they going to see thesame date or the person who hasn't applied before would have an earlier date? |

Then you have to cancel this particular appointment in Lagos and start again choosing Abuja . Please be informed that you may use the same MRV fee receipt once for scheduling an appointment and 2 times for cancellation or rescheduling. The MRV fee receipt will become inactive if used 3 times. . Ekunsgreat: thanks sir but if I reschedule my appointment to Abuja Is it the same visa receipt I would used ? And also is it possible for me to email them and explain to them about my date ?? |
Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Godiswonderful: 5:20pm On Dec 04, 2019 |
You can’t always check often at least 3 times a day so they don’t block you for 3 days ...check mostly at night ...but if you see you can’t get any suitable date in Lagos probably Abuja you might see an earlier date ...Lagos is really populated Concerning rescheduling when you open your cgi profile the home page you would see reschedule appointment Ekunsgreat: yes it’s ..I should keep checking the site and also what you mean by I should reschedule it but I hope I will get a good date better than that? |

Congratulations Ola2471: Approval!! Hi I’m a newbie been a silent reader since I submitted in August . I decided to post to encourage everyone from the wave of refusals
Timeline: online route Submission/upfront medicals- August 15th Medicals passed- August 22nd Eligibility review started- August 22nd Bvl/approval/ppr- October 1st Passport submitted-October 2nd Passport returned- December 2nd
This was my first application although I got visit visa last year but it expired in June cos my passport expired The last 2 month were the longest months of my life I kept thinking of what could have been wrong for my passport to be held but thank God
I didn’t write SOP/LOE
Docs submitted were: * Letter of Acceptance and fee statement * Receipt of 1st semester fees as well as telex copy (paid with zenith bank) * Proof of funds: letter of sponsorship stating that the amount estimated by the school as living costs has been transferred to my account , my bank statement 3.2m (11CAD), parents bank statement not up to 1m, parents payslips and my employment letter . * Then all the required forms
Course applied for is Post graduate Certificate at Seneca College.
All in all it was Gods favor cos when I read about all the SOPs that people submitted and saw closing balances I had anxiety. My application itself took 6 weeks and 4 days |

God bless you for the words of encouragement I have been denied twice Abuja embassy (undergraduate) solihp: To everyone who has been denied and has some sort of funding with not so much deficit, if you have been denied once, you can try to reapply.
And to everyone who has been trying to reapply but haven't seen a good date, just keep checking, there would be a day the embassy would open dates, some might even be days away, and the fastest people who picks it would be the lucky ones, they do that everytime, so keep checking, day and night. Don't visit too frequent though, so the system doesn't ban you for 3days. You can visit the date page 5 times a day, you might want to space out the 5 times all through the day.
Spring 2020, yes you can
All the best. 1 Like |

Almost all Canadian university don't give funding for undergraduate programs except maybe sponsored scholarship. However contact your prospective school for first-hand information about this.
Good luck! |
