Nigeria is against biafrans and you should acknowledge and write about that. Only 5 states in South east while northwest have 7 and the other zones 6. I can assure you that so koto and zamfara are both less than enugu with respect to no of people;local govt in kano;JIGAWA AND KATSINA GRATER THAN LOCAL GOVT IN ENTIRE SOUTHEAST. This impacts on allocation and no of house of rep and senate members. No single gas pipeline in the east even though East has the greatest gas deposit while pipeline transverse yoruba states like a snake; no port in the east; NO dredging of the niger; no igbo service chief; stoppage of 2nd niger bridge work. In fact the magnitude of nepotism and wickedness a gist the igbo Is enormous. This fight has transended the street urchins;it's being championed by the igbo intelligentsia. United nation and nigeria deserve to give a referendum for independence or restructure naija to be equitable. That's the only solution. It's is not a police or army brigandage solution.

Igbo won’t negotiate on MASSOB platform- Okorocha

Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha has said the Igbo will not use the platform of any separatist group, including the Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), to pursue the Igbo agenda.

Okorocha, who distanced Southeast governors and leaders from the pro-Biafra groups, said the zone did not need an armed struggle associated with militia groups to attract economic and infrastructural development.

The governor, who spoke at a breakfast meeting with reporters, noted that the zone’s setbacks could not be addressed by antagonising the North and West, but by mutual cooperation and support for the All Progressives Congress-led (APC) Federal Government.

His words: “The Igbo will not use the agitation for Biafra as a platform to negotiate the place of Ndigbo, but will support the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration to attract the dividends of democracy that eluded us in the past.

“We should try to jettison religious sentiments and support President Buhari. The Igbo will not use Biafra as a front; we condemn those agitating for Biafra because that is not Ndigbo’s need”.

But the senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has said agitation for Biafra is a plan ‘B’ action promoted by pro-Jonathan forces to undermine President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

Sani, who spoke during an interaction with reporters in Kaduna yesterday, said: “The new agitation for Biafra is a misguided, ill-conceived and ill-fated course.

“The Biafra agitation is a new attempt to destroy the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, to ignite a national conflict and cause chaos, pandemonium and confusion. It is not reflective of the interest and generality of the Igbo people.”

The senator said the Igbo had made progress since the civil war, adding that their future was better guaranteed and sustained within a united Nigeria.

Sani said: “Those attempting to wake up the Biafran course are of three categories. The first are young men with no knowledge of the tragedy, suffering and hardship Nigerians endured during the Civil War. The second category are desperate forces hiding behind the Biafran agitation to undermine our national unity and destroy theMuhammadu Buhari’s administration.

“And the third group are simply warmongers, who want crisis in an era of peace and progress. So, I will say this in clear terms: Nigeria is an indivisible entity and we have since gone beyond the Civil War.”

The people of the Southeast, Sani said, had the right within the ambit of the constitution to demand to be recognised and respected as equal partners in the Nigerian project.

He cautioned that their agitation must, however, be within the ambit of respect for the indivisibility of Nigeria and the constitution.

”As long as we realise the change agenda, entrench good governance and run an all-inclusive government, the Biafran agitation will naturally fizzle out.

“Nigerians must be patient with the President Buhari’s administration. It is wrong for people to accuse him of not performing, taking cognisance of the rot in the last 16 years.

“We have no reason to give excuses and lament the problems of Nigeria when Nigerians are desirous of change and progress,” Sani said.

My worry is that majority of people here that are against Great Biafra are mere jealous of the development this newest republic will achieve in a shortest time. Let Biafra be, no body can love Great Biafra more than the indigenous people of Great Biafra.

The Movement of Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) yesterday in Owerri, Imo State, demanded for six new republics in the country, including Biafra Republic.

The Sun Newspaper reports that thousands of the members went to the Ojukwu Memorial Centre in New Owerri for the maiden edition of the commemoration of Biafran Day on May 30 – when late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu declared the Republic of Biafra in 1967.

MASSOB leader, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike clad in the navy blue Biafran uniform with the other members of his group urged the Federal Government to do the will of God and let their people go.
Uwazuruike who addressed the large followers of the group with two representatives of MASSOB in the United Kingdom, Mrs Francese Joseph and Tina Joseph said May 30 was a turning point in the life of every Igbo man.
“It is the watershed in the history of the geographical expression called Nigeria. It is the aftermath of the mistake of the amalgamation of the Northern and Southern protectorates by Lord Lugard.
“It is the reflection of the deep-rooted hatred among the major ethnic nationalities in Nigeria. It exposes the irreconcilable disdain existing between Islam and Christianity. It is all about a failed state called Nigeria,” Uwazuruike said.
He pointed out that 47 years after Ojukwu declared the Republic of Biafra, the reasons that informed his decision are still evident in the country.
“The reality of May 30 can no longer be hidden, but the Abuja politicians and contractors are not deterred. They believe in the elusive one Nigeria, the one Nigeria that is their cash cow. The one Nigeria that is their source of corruption and impunity. The one Nigeria that is their instrument for inequality. The one Nigeria that is shielding them from all sorts of evils,” the MASSOB leader said.
Uwazuruike lamented that it was disturbing that it was the common man who bears the brunt of the evil perpetrated by the Abuja politicians and contractors, who he said God has hardened their hearts like Pharaoh of Egypt.
He noted that as long as the intent and purpose of the amalgamation of North and South were to cheat the South, the country would never fly.
Looking at the state of the country, he said: “The exercise was not done with clean hands. It failed to receive the blessing of God. That is why Nigeria remains a crawling baby after 50 years. The anger of God is on Nigeria. There is too much blood in Nigeria. The blood of the common man is used to sustain the evil called Nigeria. Insecurity in Nigeria can never abate. It is the sign of the anger of God,” Uwazuruike declared.
He, therefore, warned that his group would not guarantee its non-violent posture if anywhere in Igbo land is bombed or attacked by any militia or whatever group.
He said the only solution to solve problems of Nigeria was to grant independence to the six geo-political zones of the country.

The only solution is to divide Nigeria into six geo-political zones: namely, South East (Biafra); South West; South South; North East; North West; and North Central,” he suggested, adding that was what Ojukwu tried to achieve in 1967 but was misunderstood.”

Nigerian government made the greatest mistake of the century by the arrest of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and director of the Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

Below is an analysis by Vanguard Newspaper on what the possible arrest of Mr. Nnamdi Kanu might have caused.

Nigeria made the mistake of equating Biafra to Nnamdi Kanu. Muhammadu Buhari may have been ill-advised that arresting and unlawfully detaining Nnamdi Kanu will quench the fire of Biafra raging across the world. How mistaken they are.
How can one stop such a raging wave that has ubiquitous structure across the world by arrest of a single man?

Buhari and Nigeria inadvertently played into the grand strategy of Biafrans. Biafrans have waited for them to make this move. With the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, Nigeria has given Biafran a perfect excuse to increase the agitation for their freedom. They have given reasons for so may world governments seeking to help Biafrans to wage into the matter!
Similar to the unimaginable local and international free publicity of Radio Biafra by the Nigerian government when it unsuccessfully tried to shut down the daily broadcast from the Biafran freedom radio, the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu will escalate the Biafran restoration cause to unimaginable corners of the world.

Kanu has always spoken about the rascality, irresponsibility and oppression of Nigerian government. Infact the fulcrum of Kanu’s daily’s broadcast from Radio Biafra lies on the unquenching zeal of Nigerian government to repress freedom of speech and respect of human rights.

What else can demonstrate this to the international community, who the Biafrans have been wooing for a long time to turn to the aid of Biafrans, than the arrest of Kanu. Imagine the modern world where Alex Salmond can speak about the independence of Scotland from Britain without getting hounded not to talk of arrested.

Imagine the Spanish government arresting Artur Mas for agitating for the independence of Catalonia? This is exactly what the Nigerian government has just done. The international community will clearly understand such message.
No other example can clearly demonstrate the plight of Biafrans under the Nigerian government than the arrest of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) for seeking the liberation of his people.

It is very laughable that Buhari who has failed to arrest the sponsors and leaders of Boko Haram terrorists group killing and maiming innocent people, preferred to go after Biafrans who are peacefully seeking freedom from oppression and injustice.

Instead of dampening the Biafran spirit, Kanu’s arrest has intensified the passion and resoluteness of Biafrans.

By the way it is way too late to arrest Nnamdi Kanu in order to stop Biafra. Kanu has virtually completed his work. He has laid the foundations for the restoration of Biafra. He has raised the conscience of Biafrans across the world. As it stands today there are a thousand and one Nnamdi Kanu who are able and willing to carry on.
