MOKENN: Yea I have done this, and there was an auto reply.
How ever some people claimed that 2way is working and thus no need to pay the N12570. But nobody has gotten stamped passport back yet. Earliest returns will be by Tuesday since dispatch is Mondays and Wednesdays. I paid on Friday so did many others.
Latest Wednesday the situation will be clearer.
I have seen counterfoil in IRCC account. No Letter of Introduction ( Some people also claim to have gotten this)
See the auto reply below:

Though I'm about to do it as well. Best of luck everyone but still expecting the experience ones here to explain better |

One thing this Study Visa Journey has taught me is PATIENCE
My little advice for TRV hopefuls & Future Applicants
1) I will encourage every applicant to fulfil all righteousness when crafting their Canada study application
Remember "No Two Application is the Same" (there are many factors attached to this statement such as - different academic backgrounds, work experience, Marital Status, the Visa Officers reviewing your application & lots more)
2) Avoid any form of assumption that a Visa Officer won't need this or that, do your due diligence.
3) Show Career/Academic/Logical Progression most especially your Degree/Work Experience should be resonating with the Program you are going for
also,
Show Progression in the qualification of Program you are going for e.g - B.SC grad (2.1) going for a Masters - B.SC grad (2.2) & HND grad going for a PGD/PG. Cert/ Post Baccalaureate Diploma
If you have a 2.1 and you want to go for a PG. Cert, endeavor to show cogent reasons in a convincing manner in your SOP why you are going for a PG. Cert instead of a Masters Degree
4)- Assume yourself as a VISA OFFICER, assess your documents, read ur SOP to urself and point out your errors. - Also regarding ur SOP, avoid any form of Plagiarism to the bearest minimum. - Show Originality when writing your SOP, - Be 100% Patriotic - don't say unpleasant things about Nigeria on your SOP, how you can upgrade your career and also help in the improvement of the Nigerian Economy after studying in Canada is very Paramount, talk about it in your SOP. - Avoid Grammatical Errors in your SOP - Subheadings Will make your SOP readable, don't write your SOP in Composition/Essay Manner - Any thing you mention in your SOP, make sure you have a document that confirms it.
5) Read Success Stories of Applicants that have gotten Approval in the Past, most especially from 2018 till date, you might just see an applicant with your exact kind of profile that got approval which u can learn one ot two things from.
6) Also, if you are on the verge of starting or submitting your application, endeavor to ask questions in the forum on things u are not clear of. There are many things you gonna learn here that an agent don't know about or won't even tell you.
If you are an Applicant going for Masters/PH.D, this thread is a training ground for you to learn how to do research before the real research, so don't feel bad if someone tell you to start reading from Page 1, u gonna gain a lot.
7) Take your time and read this Thread Explicitly. I never had an iota of experience on Canada Study Visa application. Reading this thread in my leisure period for a year helped me tremendously and this made my application strictly DIY (do-it-yourself)
Finally, after Submitting your application, Talk to God to take Control/Charge of your Study Visa Processing, cos in every situation (good or bad) God will still be God.
As we all know the motto of this forum "it will end in Praises (in frankrobbn's Voice)"
I'm wishing all applicants awaiting a decision from IRCC a FAVORABLE ONE
Remain Blessed Honorable Sir's & Ma's!!!! Congrats bro, I'm happy for you, keep shining!!!. Pls my sis Application has been approved too, how do we get the decision envelope via return courier and can I collect for her? and what's the cost implications? Thanks |

Frankrobbn1: Welcome to the thread, I hope you will find your stay here very educating and rewarding.
Your husband being the main sponsor of your younger sister's study visa application is considered as a third party (brother-in-law) sponsorship. To this end, he will have to pay her tuition fees directly from his account to demonstrate the provenance of continued availability of funds during the course of her studies in Canada. Having said that, sponsor (brother-in-law) should transfer the equivalent of her first year living expenses ($10,000CAD) into her domicilary account to show that funds are already in convertible currency and will be readily accessible by the PA (principal applicant).
In view that sponsor (brother-in-law) has higher ratio of funds in his savings account, he doesn't need to submit an empty salary account statement. His personal savings statement of 17M should suffice to cover for the entire first year expenses in Canada without working to pay her fees. Additional documents to prove his source of wealth at his current place of employment must also be submitted alongside the application. These documents include the following,
1. Employment letter, 2. Introductory letter, 3. Promotion letter, 4. Salary increment letter, 5. Pay stubs covering 4-6 months period etc.
In terms of covering what the principal applicant (PA) has been doing since she left the high school (study gaps). Personally, I wouldn't advise you to declare her uncompleted studies here in Nigeria. This is merely because the visa officer will assume that she is a potential emigrant and as such using study permit as a means to facilitate relocation to Canada rather than educational advancement. Consequently, my advise is that she should provide proof of some of the online courses or trainings she has been doing until this moment in preparation for her studies in Canada. You can also state that she has been involved in one or more volunteer activities/projects thereby providing reference letters to substantiate your claims to be authentic.
The best and feasible way you can show proof of relationship between your husband and your sister is to get the following documents.
1. Your Marriage Certificate (showing that you once shared the same name with your sister prior to when you got married to your husband) 2. Family/Wedding pictures (Where your husband, your sister and yourself were present) 3. Family tree diagram (provide a diagram illustration showing brief description on how your sister is connected to your husband (her brother-in-law). 4. Bank statements (Showing proof of history or ongoing financial support your husband has been giving to her in the past or present). 5. WhatsApp messages (showing their chats and discussions about her plans to further her studies in Canada.) Etc.
I hope you will find this information satisfactory to your enquiry. Should you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out here.
It will end in praise. FRANKROBBI1, GOD WILL CONTINUE TO BLESS YOU. YOU SHALL CONTINUE TO PROSPER IN YOUR ENDEAVOUR. GOD BLESS YOU!!! |

Anon123: My advice is this , pay a part of the tuition fee.. You dont need to open a domiciary account .. Pay a part of the tuition and get the receipt. Use the saving account with enough money that covers the balance of the tuition plus money that covers at least a yr stay $10,000cad.. What he needs is to provide how he is related to your sister. Meaning he should provide marriage certificate, his and your birth certificates, employment letter, payslip if possible and international passport. You dont need to add that admission letter .. Don't add it cos it will affect you I APPRECIATE YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS IT REALLY WORKED FOR ME. GOD BLESS YOU |

Lekiboboe: I can see u got like 4-Questions here, would be able to give my own opinion about the first and last question.
-) As regards paying of ur sis. tuition fee, Its not mandatory to open a domiciliary account, u can use the naira account with the naira funds, a bank knows how to do that to pay tuition oversea using Form A to pay Do check my post on Page 130 about payment of tuition fee overseas using FORM A
Also, Part payment should be okay since they didn't ask for a deposit
-) Ur Hubby Can Proof a relationship with ur sister by the following - Writing a Letter of Sponsorship Visit Page 105 & u will see a Sample of Letter of a Brother-In-law Sponsoring his wife's sibling
- A Family Tree (diagram) showing how ur Sis. Relates to ur Husband
- Probably a Wedding Picture in which You & ur Husband and Sister featured will suffice. I APPRECIATE YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS,IT REALLY WORKED FOR ME. GOD BLESS YOU |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Godsblessings: 10:34am On Nov 03, 2020 |
JustMellow: Hello Godsblessings,
You excluded some vital information of if your sister is a minor and/or if she has attain the age of 18 or above. This way, the advise becomes more direct rather than broad.
It isn't mandatory to open a domiciliary account but as the name implies and purpose, it easily facilitate foreign payments and transactions. This can be use to an advantage especially if she's less than 18 or slightly above. The domiciary account should be set up in her name and if possible, the total expense for her first year education plus tuition inclusive should be house there.
As stated by IRCC, an account to facilitate immigration should be at least 6 months or older. In her case especially if she's 18 or less, it could be argued in her favour that as a young child who's about to take her next step into the perfect reality, its only right to create an active account for her especially now that she intends to pursue international studies. Thus, the more reason the account became needful in order to specifically set aside the required funds that covers her first year studies.
What this subtle implies also transcend to stand as tie even id she's young to show tangible landed properties and/or employment history.
This way, your spouse can easily demonstrate his unwithering sponsorship commitment by not doing with his salary account but the savings coupled with the necessary evidence of his source of funds.
It may be advisable to use the admission letter secured here in Nigeria to make a case for her on why the decision to send her abroad became neccesitated. If at disposal, include paid tuition fees to the admission letter. This creates a perception that indeed the local available option wasn't/isn't compatible to her educational goal or enable a clear career path for her.
However, due to the limited course to choose from or it can even be argued that her sole desire is to become for example a soil scientist or researcher which based on several consultations and research, she might limit herself or potentials because of the none supportive academic standard and education structure in Nigeria. Thus, the possibility to groom her accordingly in the area of research is uncertainty.
You are the centre of connecting and demonstrating their relationship. Since she's your sister, both your birthday certificate and marriage certificate would suffice and if at disposal, pictures only if she's in it especially that of your wedding, birthday, picnics, attestation letter from your religious place of worship recognize you and your husband as her legal guardian, letter from her secondary school attesting that she was sponsored by you and your husband, sworn affidavit et cetera can serve as proof tangible proof of relationship.
All the best I APPRECIATE YOUR CONTRIBUTION, IT REALLY WORKED FOR ME . GOD BLESS YOU |
