heidepaper: Good morning. Please edit your post. Your attached picture contains sensitive information (name and student ID) It´s not safe to share such on public platforms. You can blurr it and repost. Tuition = 1 year tuition, Room and board = minimum of 10,000 CAD (living expense for 1 year) or if the admission letter stated what living expense is needed you can use that. Other = miscellaneous (transport, insurance, books...) All the best God bless you ,I have just deleted the pix attached. If the school give me a semester tuition as 6500 cad , what should I use as one year , will it be multiply by two.? 2, pls we want to transfer the 10,000 cad to her dormicilary account, and we have open dormicilary account for her but the exchange rate is high , pls how can we do the exchange at affordable rate |

iyatrustee: That refusal letter is dated 2013, besides visit visa's have no right of appeal.
Personally, i think the ECO isn't convinced he earns that much, otherwise a salary of over N400k in 2013 was good for visa purposes. Again, a man with 2kids going on tourism alone does sound one kind. does it mean that if one is married, should not disclose it, if he wants to travel alone without his family? |

JustMellow: Hello Godsblessings,
You excluded some vital information of if your sister is a minor and/or if she has attain the age of 18 or above. This way, the advise becomes more directed rather than broad.
It isn't mandatory to open a domiciliary account but as the name implies and purpose, it easily facilitate foreign payments and transactions. This can be use to an advantage especially if she's less than 18 or slightly above. The domiciary account should be set up in her name and if possible, the total expense for her first year education plus tuition inclusive should be house there.
As stated by IRCC, an account to facilitate immigration should be at least 6 months or older. In her case especially if she's 18 or less, it could be argued in her favour that as a young child who's about to take her next step into the perfect reality, its only right to create an active account for her especially now that she intends to pursue international studies. Thus, the more reason the account became needful in order to specifically set aside the required funds that covers her first year studies.
What this subtle implies also transcend to stand as tie even id she's young to show tangible landed properties and/or employment history.
This way, your spouse can easily demonstrate his unwithering sponsorship commitment by not doing with his salary account but the savings coupled with the necessary evidence of his source of funds.
It may be advisable to use the admission letter secured here in Nigeria to make a case for her on why the decision to send her abroad became neccesitated. If at disposal, include paid tuition fees to the admission letter. This creates a perception that indeed the local available option wasn't/isn't compatible to her educational goal or enable a clear career path for her.
However, due to the limited course to choose from or it can even be argued that her sole desire is to become for example a soil scientist or researcher which based on several consultations and research, she might limit herself or potentials because of the none supportive academic standard and education structure in Nigeria. Thus, the possibility to groom her accordingly in the area of research is uncertainty.
You are the centre of connecting and demonstrating their relationship. Since she's your sister, both your birthday certificate and marriage certificate would suffice and if at disposal, pictures only if she's in it especially that of your wedding, birthday, picnics, attestation letter from your religious place of worship recognize you and your husband as her legal guardian, letter from her secondary school attesting that she was sponsored by you and your husband, sworn affidavit et cetera can serve as proof tangible proof of relationship.
All the best she is 20years going for her first degree . And she will be studying pre-social works @university of Winnipeg, which I think it's not available here in Nigeria or limited institution offer the course , did you mean we should include her admission and proof of payment of tuition at the Nigeria Univerzity ? She is currently Studying human kinetics and health education in Nigeria first year which is different from her admission in Canada. Concerning ties, landed docs, hubby plan approval, deed of agreement, and survey plan and receipt of payment will be used , Marriage certificate, birth certificate and family pictures cos I don't think she reflected on our wedding pix Thankss. We will try to open a dormicilary account for her and transfer her tuition and living expenses their but what if the name of person that fund her dormicilary account is different from my hubby name , how can that affect her application? |

Anon123: My advice is this , pay a part of the tuition fee.. You dont need to open a domiciary account .. Pay a part of the tuition and get the receipt. Use the saving account with enough money that covers the balance of the tuition plus money that covers at least a yr stay $10,000cad.. What he needs is to provide how he is related to your sister. Meaning he should provide marriage certificate, his and your birth certificates, employment letter, payslip if possible and international passport. You dont need to add that admission letter .. Don't add it cos it will affect you Thank you, God bless you more |

Frankrobbn1: Welcome to the thread, I hope you will find your stay here very educating and rewarding.
Your husband being the main sponsor of your younger sister's study visa application is considered as a third party (brother-in-law) sponsorship. To this end, he will have to pay her tuition fees directly from his account to demonstrate the provenance of continued availability of funds during the course of her studies in Canada. Having said that, sponsor (brother-in-law) should transfer the equivalent of her first year living expenses ($10,000CAD) into her domicilary account to show that funds are already in convertible currency and will be readily accessible by the PA (principal applicant).
In view that sponsor (brother-in-law) has higher ratio of funds in his savings account, he doesn't need to submit an empty salary account statement. His personal savings statement of 17M should suffice to cover for the entire first year expenses in Canada without working to pay her fees. Additional documents to prove his source of wealth at his current place of employment must also be submitted alongside the application. These documents include the following,
1. Employment letter, 2. Introductory letter, 3. Promotion letter, 4. Salary increment letter, 5. Pay stubs covering 4-6 months period etc.
In terms of covering what the principal applicant (PA) has been doing since she left the high school (study gaps). Personally, I wouldn't advise you to declare her uncompleted studies here in Nigeria. This is merely because the visa officer will assume that she is a potential emigrant and as such using study permit as a means to facilitate relocation to Canada rather than educational advancement. Consequently, my advise is that she should provide proof of some of the online courses or trainings she has been doing until this moment in preparation for her studies in Canada. You can also state that she has been involved in one or more volunteer activities/projects thereby providing reference letters to substantiate your claims to be authentic.
The best and feasible way you can show proof of relationship between your husband and your sister is to get the following documents.
1. Your Marriage Certificate (showing that you once shared the same name with your sister prior to when you got married to your husband) 2. Family/Wedding pictures (Where your husband, your sister and yourself were present) 3. Family tree diagram (provide a diagram illustration showing brief description on how your sister is connected to your husband (her brother-in-law). 4. Bank statements (Showing proof of history or ongoing financial support your husband has been giving to her in the past or present). 5. WhatsApp messages (showing their chats and discussions about her plans to further her studies in Canada.) Etc.
I hope you will find this information satisfactory to your enquiry. Should you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out here.
It will end in praise. thanks so much for your quick valuable response. Please the school (University of Winnipeg) does not require tuition deposit prior to admission and her admission letter already given, please since the school doesn't require tuition deposit,do you suggest he should send her tuition fee for a semester and$10,000 cad to her dormicilary account? Or what's your suggestions on this? Thanks and God bless |

I would like to know if it's mandatory to open a dormicilary account for my sister and transfer her tuition fees there though the school did not request for tuition deposit? or should just present the sponsor statement of account as prove of Available funds for her tuition? my next question is that her sponsor(my hubby) said he doesn't have any money in his Salary account but has up to 17M-20M in his savings account, please does he need to submit an empty salary account or he should just submit his savings account with his payslip and employment letter as prove of employment?? furthermore, my sister has already gotten admission here in Nigeria , do we need to include her admission letter as evidence of what she has been doing after SSCE? my last question is that how do we proof the relationship between my younger sister and my husband since they do not bear the same surname? @justwise , frankrobbi1, lekiboboe, wendiduel and other guru in the house. Thanks and remain blessed . Please someone should attend to my questions |

Nwannediutor: I didn’t say it’s not necessary, I said it’s not COMPULSORY. If paying tyytiin deposit will not put you in pressure , then you can go ahead to do it.
However the most important thing is to proof to the VO that you have your tuition fee for one year plus CAD10,000 for living expenses available to you.
Nigerians applying for student visa do not need to open an account in Canada. Upload your sponsors statement of account showing the money together with all other necessary financial documents . well understood , thanks for your valuable response, pls is it necessary to open a domiciliary account for her to transfer tuition fees there or not necessary, ? Or should just use sponsor account only? My second question is this, do we need to get any letter from her University here in Nigeria cos she has already gotten admission here bf applied as an evidence of what she has been doing after secondary school like no objection letter? My last question is that what type of account can we use? Can we use business account to sponsor her? Though I am planning maybe I should use my joint account with my husband cos that's the only acct that we have good money there worth 23M ,cos I don't have any tangible balance in my salary account, can I provide my employment letter and payslip without the salary account cos no money there but will use the joint account with my husband joint account ,and landed docs . Thanks again and God bless. I will be expecting to hear from you sir |

Frankrobbn1: It should be sent before the online visa application and also attach the MyBank statement which bears the Ticket ID and password with your application. This will enable the visa gain free access to your account and be able to confirm its authenticity.
It will end in praise please is it the embassy that will request for this ? or one can just send the statement of account to the embassy without request from the embassy? do we have to send through courier or email? can this be done for tourist /conference as well? |
