If you're using a company sponsorship as primary proof of support, I would suggest you get them to pay part of your tuition fee and transfer the living expenses to your account. This will solve the issue of funds accessibility and availability that might be raised by the visa officer.

Good morning house, pls I have a friend whose admission(university of Windsor) just drop yesterday, he is planning to use microfinance bank as proof of funds, please does Canada embassy accept microfinance bank claiming he has up to 25M in the account.
And also can he use business account of his sponsor account in a commercial bank because I am thinking that he can only use the sponsor personal savings or salary account oooo ? Awaiting your valuable response. Have a great weekend

I don't think you have any problem except you have other issues (like travel costs, convenience, or affordability) with going to Lagos instead of Abuja.

thanks so much, please I have tried to book VFS biometrics appointments for her in Abuja but it was not successful until I selected Lagos which was successful. My fear is that we addressed all the doc's submitted on her behalf to Abuja but later booked biometrics appointment in Lagos. Pls I hope this can not affect anything? and I have also booked medical for her in Lagos as well

hello bro, pls I need to verify this , a friend of mine want to apply for Korea school, he said he applied last year and he has authenticated his credentials at ministry of education and ministry of foreign affairs last year, when he got Korea embassy in Lagos D's year, they said he has to go back to Abuja to reauthenticate his credentials at ministry of education and ministry of foreign affairs, pls how true is this And what's the way forward pls ? Since he has done the authentication last year at Moe and MOFA,he should be able to use it this year,is that not so?

my little advice is that you should get affidavit of confirmation/change of name to the name on your passport and attached all documents that U want to add.....

According to the documents listed above, the applicant appears to have weak financial strength, weak economic ties to their country, unproven job prospects.

If you may, what is the age of the applicant, program going for, applicant employment history.

You have strengthen the sponsor details and forgot to add weight to the principal applicant. And to be unambiguously honest, brother in law is not too strong as a sponsor. However, depending on the age, employment status, years of experience... Of the applicant, maybe the said sponsor may fly, of course, you will show whether the tuition has been paid from the sponsor, or it has been sent to the applicant, plus the living tuition.

And if the course is more than a year, there will be proven and certified blueprint to pay subsequent years.

Pls what type of account can he use for his tourist visa application to be approved

I considered the quarantine, I said I will spend 3 weeks but in my first application I said I will spend 2 weeks but I ended staying for 4 weeks...coming to the documents required for your brother, I will leave it for the gurus in d house to answer...i hope this helped

I will let the gurus respond on the best way here on other questions but will speak to your question on bank account opening with Scotia or any other Canadian banks from Nigeria (being a Nigerian citizen). Scotia only does this for Indian, Chinese students and a few other nationalities not Nigerian. It was impossible when I tried this a few months ago using several avenues. I was ready to open a target account with dedicated monthly deposit from here. I tried using my sibling who is a PR to facilitate it. My sister inlaw works with RBC and still it wasn't possible. Although you may be able to create a profile but that would be all that is possible (if at all). Even when you get a study permit you can't finalize it until you land and walk into the bank. So, please be careful if anyone tells you otherwise on other platforms; you may be playing with scammers.

Add their letter of Consent to sponsor and remain Resolute in the sponsorship

It actually reduces the explanation you have to make ...

Have the FUNDS sent completely to you account, with reference on SOP , That the VO should have a look at the Origin of the FUNDS, am sure if the names Tally, ....Like FRANK will say, "IT WILL END IN PRAISE"

(1) What you should put as funds available for your stay should be either equal or greater than the sum of tuition + room and board + other

Attaching landed properties is showing the visa officer that your sponsor is financially capable to take care of you without issues, your education in Canada will not be a problem to them, to serve as home ties and so forth.

If you have landed properties worth 100M, all you need to include as funds available for your stay is a reasonable amount that you think is more than sufficient to take care of your studies for 1 year.

for example, if your 1 year tuition is $10,000, room and board $10,000 and other lets say $3,000, Total = 23,000

funds available for stay should not be less than $23,000. In your case, because you have more than $23,000 available, you can write $30,000, that's absolutely fine. That means you have added extra $7,000 for unforeseen circumstances


(2) To the best of my knowledge, IRCC requests for only 1 year.

University of Winnipeg doesn't require any payment till you get your visa
