I can now see why you said what u said. You didn't know the genesis of the argument. It is similar to what happened just now.

Last week argument came about because I suggested the mi 9 se to somebody who said his budget is only limited to a 100k but would like to buy the k20. Before u know it, k20 fans jumped on me for dare saying that. They tot the best he should have done was to save up and buy the k20.

Similar thing happened this morning, somebody posted a YouTube video of a review of the k20, a review I wil call excellent for the k20, but just because he mentioned a single flaw he noticed on the device... you yourself can read the comments that followed. Is that necessary?

Nonsense. Check my profile, I've been on nairaland for more than ten years as a registered member and even more than that as a guest, how many comments do I have. I hardly comment on nairaland , in fact last weekend was my most engaging on the thread since I joined.

I wouldn't have commented today if not for the terrible attitude of some of u. Somebody posted a YouTube review of a device and simply because he mentioned just one flaw he noticed in the device , you all came for his head,haba do u want nice things to be said about your device everytime.

For your information I use 2 phones and I'm on the other thread and whenever something unflattering is said about the phone, actually Samsung, I dont see folks there acting up.

If you watched MKBHD's video well and read the comments that followed a whole lot of people didn't have a problem with the selfie camera. I don't know how you now managed to connect a faulty selfie camera unit with Mi 9 SE( Tell me the correlation).

Also he is not the first and won't be the last to get a faulty phone/electronic during reviews. There's was an Anker Soundcore pro plus comparison with Tribit and some other speakers I watched by Jimmy Sound room, he criticised the speaker(Anker) only to find out he had a faulty unit after Anker sent him two more speakers to test and give feedback and he stated it on the same YouTube video description to correct the impressions.

Henry had a screen bleed in the Pocophone he bought last year for review, does that take away the functionality of the phone?

The Global version of Mi 9SE, a lot of units got bricked from a software upgrade, does that take away the functionality of the phone.

My grouse is with people hurting whenever something unflattering is said about their phones.

Watch that video very well, he was even praising the device to high heavens. The only problem he had was just the selfie camera. He even contrasted it with the back camera and say it takes excellent shots.

To me that review was an excellent review for the k20 pro, he more or less gave it a pass mark, yet because he mentioned just one flaw in the shape of the selfie camera, see how ya'll came for his head. That's overreacting. Even then somebody who uses the phone confirmed the guy was more or less correct.

I don't know why I so much love this line you always bring up everytime. Maybe it's because you're the only one saying it . I have searched and searched the net for over 3 months with keywords such as "mi 9 se a failure " and ironically the result have always been links to reviews praising the SE to high heavens

I challenge u to give a link to a site, known or mediocre, that suggests the mi 9 SE is a failure or that even the k20 has hurt the 9 se in anyway.

Today, western reviewers are giving fantastic reviews for the SE, an American reviewer even compared it with pixel 3a.

So shove the " mi 9 se failure" down your azz

Many, if not most, agree that xiaomi need to upgrade their camera software. They really need to employ world class programmers! Their excellent hardware is greatly underutilized

Seems you're new here, you don't know k20 fans here? They behave exactly like iPhone fanboys. They just don't take any comparison, let alone, any criticism of the device

I'm not much of a camera person and haven't even used the selfie camera since i bought the phone (downloaded gcam the first day the rest has been history) but after watching the video, i had to go back and check.

It's not that bad but it is not what i was expecting either. Definitely not a hardware issue as gcam selfies were excellent. As for the rear camera, it is almost the same, maybe slightly less better than gcam. I think Xiaomi just needs to improve their camera software.

Note: I'm still on Miui beta so yours might be different.

while I may not support all his points, the mi9 SE is a very good device... if money is a big deal, I'd go for it over the k20 especially if I like compact phones, and the concept of having my remote control in my hands at all times...
however, if I can shell out a few more quids without problem, I'd go for the k20, mainly for the battery... actually, the k20 pro.




this argument started because he suggested the SE to someone hu had no more than 100k while stating that the fellow wouldn't be missing much... I don't think anybody should have a problem with his statement but y'all took it too far...
