ityP: The exposure to me is just right. Saturation too is ok. At least it looks very natural
I think the guy just shot himself by revealing the phone type too soon knowing people around here got zero respect for that brand.
He could have posted the picture and added something like "guess which phone ". By so doing, he would have gotten an honest opinion of the picture and thereafter reveal the name.
Gptech: If pics are so important to you, forget about phones, even the ones they will make in 10 years time can't compete with a dedicated camera. Am shocked sometimes that people spend about 400k to upgrade to a flagship device because they expect to get a huge upgrade in camera. Just buy for instance a Nikon D750 for around 450k and enjoy true photography for many years to come. If money is not an issue and you travel alot and would like taking pics alone, then mirrorless cameras are the way to go because of the or light weight and portability , like the Sony Alpha Series .
I saw these on jiji. Pls which will u recommend. Please note I'm not willing to spend more than 300k since I'm not planning to become a professional photographer.

Yeah, I got a small canon camera I bought about six years back for around 88k I still use till now but some pictures I've seen on this thread makes it look like a toy.
My problem with DSLR is the zoom lens. I heard for u to get the best of the camera, you'll need a zoom lens and some cost about 1m.
Photography is my hobby, I'm so passionate about it. If I get some decent camera that'll not need expensive zoom lens to work, I think I'm ok.
genius43: I dropped two videos on the Xiaomi thread sometime ago check it out.
Also not for the sake of argument but knowledge, the difference between Sony IMX 586 and 582 is video recording. While the 586 can do 4k/60fps, the 582 tops out at 4k/30fps.
Ok, I'll sure follow the thread. Don't wanna be wasting money looking for the best camera phone, I think it's my skills that need sharpening.
Reddington: Redmi note 5 pro. NL took away a huge chunk of quality, sadly.
Ah ah!
How do u guys manage to take good shots like this? Una go for mobile photography training?
I think you guys should start dropping hints on mobile photography here.
This shot is almost as good as the one on the pixel and it came from a RN5? I don't need wasting my money looking for phones with best cameras ooo, I think it's your photography skills that matters
drexel39: Sunset Shot with note 9 Location:lagos safe anchorage area
I stole Ur picture and set as my wall paper.
These are breathtaking pictures I'm seeing here ooo.
I was thinking of getting the pixel 4 this October primarily because of the camera, but seeing the shots from S10 and now Ur S9, im in a serious dilemma.
Maybe a camera is only as good as the photographer afterall.
Myllz: U av low comprehension skills.. make I use pidgin explain, I been get s8, screen spoil and I buy RN7, my guy dey use A50 and I do comparison, D RN7 is beta. I come say I prefer Hauwei p30 pro to S10, e no mean say I get d two fones, na cos I don handle both of dem, Na Y I say I no fit compare mi 9 to S10 becos I Neva use mi 9 b4.. I hope say u don understand
You are the one terrible at comprehension or maybe expression. Go back to your initial post and tell me exactly what point u were trying to say.
Is it not something like 'I had and used the Samsung Galaxy s8 and even used an iPhone , but the the screen got bad and I switched to xiaomi, now I can say xiaomi is better so Bleep sammy 4eva'
Myllz: Are dy mad?? I was using iPhone 7 plus and Samsung S8. D s8 screen got bad and I bought d note 7.. d fone is sleek Jor, I no dy miss d Samsung sef.. waiting 4 RN8 and iPhone 11.. Bleep Sammy 4eva
Myllz: Samsung get better fones but they are over priced. D RN7 is better Dan d A50 in real life comparison. I love Sammy but Xiaomi offers value 4 money, Personally I think Sammy is overpriced. I'll take the Huawei p30 pro over the S10+.. I no dy use fone cos of name but wetin d fone get to offer me
Keep deluding yourself , didn't you first mention the Galaxy s8?
Myllz: Are dy mad?? I was using iPhone 7 plus and Samsung S8. D s8 screen got bad and I bought d note 7.. d fone is sleek Jor, I no dy miss d Samsung sef.. waiting 4 RN8 and iPhone 11.. Bleep Sammy 4eva
Don't mind them, they are mad.
Who in his right senses will ever say Samsung is better than xiaomi,?
I just saw the trailer of this movie on channels and I must say I've never really been impressed with a Nigerian film cinematography like this. Not even AY films or jungle afolayan films have impressed me like this.
God bless the director of this movie and with more efforts,I think we will finally catch up with the south Africans in terms of film quality.
Shegun010: Guys please I have an issue. It started noticing it this morning. Anytime I open apps, and my screen locks, once I turn the screen back on, all the minimised apps disappear. Please what's the possible solution. I'm not using any font or themes. Please help. I use a Redmi note 7
Try this. Go to settings Battery and performance Click on power Click on the settings icon Check the time on ' clear cache when device is locked' Then adjust accordingly
cortix: I promise making a review of the Redmi N7. So let's get it..
Have used the device for over 2 weeks and I must agree that the phone is dope based on my focus and needs i noted earlier for getting the phone. It might not be the best mid range phone out there but it's a cool phone.
SPEED : Am not a gamer, so this review is based on my own usage. I did a speed test with my LG G7 which is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 processor, and comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone really tried. Most apps loaded almost the same time and that's a big bonus point.
BATTERY LIFE: The battery life is okay tho as a heavy internet user. It's not really that cool but can be better with lot of optimization. Most times my Hotspot is always toggled on for 24hours and the phone lasted for a day with steady streaming and download.
Few steps to get the battery last longer: Off WiFi and Bluetooth scanning. Use dark mode Turn off all ads service that comes by default in MIUI Use a better launcher like Nova Reduce screen brightness. With this you are good to go!
CAMERA:The camera is dope and can be doper with GCAM. Had crazy shoots with it and I swear the shots are better than my LG G7. Tho night shots are not super compared to pictures taken during the day.
LOOK AND FEEL: The phone has a premium feel and look without a proper glance one will think it's an iPhone or one of Samsung high end device. The Gorilla Glass protecting the phone front and back gives a more premium and durable feel.
DURABILITY: Am very careless when it comes to handling device. The phone got it first fall from a makeup table almost 4 feet high. I concluded that screen has scattered before picking it up. But to my greatest surprise no sign or crack on any part of the device. The second fall was from a TV stand while the last heavy fall was very my reading table while trying to pick my headphone. I didn't know that it was connected to the phone. The head phone dragged the phone with the same speed I picked it. It landed on the tiles and while trying to pick up the phone it bounced back on the tiles again I almost cried for the phone but dam the phone is still neat with no visible scratch or even crack.
You can watch full durability test of the phone on YouTube. Just search Redmi N7 durability test my Jerryrigeverthing.
SOUND: The phone has a great sound. Am not expecting it to bounce like a home theater speaker or one of Zealot Bluetooth speakers. You will enjoy the sound with a Miniso head phone. One good thing it has internal sound customisation settings. Tho my old infinix device still have better sound because of the Dirac 3D sound enhancement. But all the same I give it 4/5 since it's just a single powering speaker.
DISPLAY: The display is very decent both indoor and outdoor. Tho not as dope as an Amoled display but an Average user won't see anything bad with it or see that as a disadvantage. You can tweak the display to look better from the settings. The black theme gives me a bit feel of Amoled display especially when on the settings page. If you know you know
I think I have said alot. From my experience so far I rate the phone 8/10
Light and everything to make picture make sense is met..
Well, that girl picture is not cool..is it the picture that has problem or the girl.. ayamnotunderstanding how a man picture is more beautiful than a woman picture
I guess the phone is still new to him, he has not played around the camera settings to get the best shot.
From the lady's picture, I guess he has not increased saturation from the default setting. He can set saturation to high or higher and he'll get a better shot.
Since he brought Samsung into this, check out the pix below. It was also taken in chicken republic
chrisja: Is the Mi 9T (6gb/128gb) that much of a difference in performance against Redmi Note 7 Pro (6gb/128gb)? I know of the selfie camera, design and SDG difference. My interest is the overall day to day usage, which offers more value for money?
orogodoganyin: the phone is excellent in every way n compact too... battery life though ... f you're a gamer that's always outdoor or on the move, you may not like it cos of the battery
You know why I always like Ur comments? Not because u support me but because you've handled the phone up close and personal and seen and felt what it looks like. So you really understand what my arguments last week was all about
Seriously, I bought the phone as a second phone but didn't take long to elevate it to my main phone.
That phone is seriously underated. People look at it like a Mi 9 lite version whereas it's mi 9 special edition. It retained most of the flagship features of the mi 9 save for the chipset and wireless charging.
Here is a comment from the site genius shared last week
Mykcool: I already mentioned it to someone, the person uses an iPhone without the jack and is comfy with it. Simple opportunity to sell/market that model, irrespective of the arguments those who'll fall in love with it would surely do to
Abeg make we forget the matter
Well, I agree the argument of last week might be unnecessary, but we cannot but have moments like that here from time to time. And I guess it spiced up the weekend for some of us
I read through the debate again during the week and was just catching fun.
The mi 9 se is a superb device believe me, you read what orongodoyan said about it. I myself was surprised at how easily I elevated it to my main phone as against an alternate phone I bought it for.
I now use my Samsung to watch videos and play games.
I told u someone with 2 iPhones in his hand picked up the phone yesterday and asked me iPhone what is this before he looked closely and saw it wasn't an iPhone
Mykcool: Bro you really took that argument personal, something so trivial. You need to let go mahn, don't let little arguments like this affect you. Me sef was just catching fun. From all indication your phone is working super well for you so enjoy it irrespective of what is said, as long as it does everything you throw at it .
So calm down and stop carrying such little things on your mind.
I took the argument personal?
Anyway that's your way of reasoning. But just to tell you, I am a die hard sammy fan, there hasn't been a time I've never had a Samsung phone with me.
I came about this thread when I was looking to change my alternate phone, Nokia 3. I was looking to buy another Nokia then cos I wanted to go for a known brand and not some shitty brands springing up and down. But then, I noticed the xiaomi thread is always on top of the phone section, so curiously I opened and started following the thread.
I was impressed by the comments I saw and decided to do a little research on the net and of course YouTube video.
In the end, I told my self "this could be worth a try" and wanted to go for the mi 8, but then saw that it was redmi 7 trending all over the place and then I came across the mi 9 se on a YouTube video and tot it's my best choice cos its smaller.
No matter what phone I use, I'll always have the ever reliable Samsung handy so it's of no serious concern to me if yall keep saying the SE is a failure, I have my Samsung nearby just in case.
So the long and the short of it is, there's nothing to take personal
