But there is something fishy about this. He said 'can't wait', for what exactly. For the release of the film or for his role?. A film scheduled for release in December will, in the least , be at the post-production stage by now.

So what exactly does can't wait means.

If he was part of the film from day 1 he would have flaunted it on social media.

If you watched the scene of Erica pouring acidic words on Laycon and you still felt the way you feel, then you don't like Laycon. You saying Ebuka broke the friendship between them makes me wonder how humans think sometimes.

Yes, Erica had anger issues and all but it wasn't just Laycon's narrative of her trying to kiss him that made her lash out at him. If Ebuka hadn't said what he said, Erica would have looked for how to transfer her anger of Kiddwaya refusing to be hooked by her to him and if not him, someone else.

Watching her insult Laycon showed she had wanted to say it for so long. The condescending looks, the mean words, the threats. Drunkenness doesn't turn people into overnight monsters. It only brings out the monstrousity if present.

Funny enough, she was my fave even up till the time she rejected Laycon but there are some attitudes we need to frown on and she has basically half of the attitudes.

I want this issue to rest already but let me say( write) this last one.

So what triggered the venom in her after that? It's simply Ebuka's question and there is no other way to spin this or why did Ebuka refused to shake table last week if not that he's feeling kinda guilty.

Laycon himself did not help matters, she tried to clear the issue with him all week but laycon was avoiding her because, according to him, he has no proof to back it up!
Erica herself mentioned this fact on that crazy night that she's been asking him to clear the issue but u refused.

You saying that without Ebukas question she would still have found a way to transfer aggression to laycon, well that we will never know but what we do know is that her anger is that laycon has been lying to the whole house that she tried to kiss him. She said this repeatedly that night which shows that's her major grouse with him.

I never mentioned drunkenness.

And like i said , hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, even the devil himself fears a very angry woman. See, one of the members of the musical group TLC, I've forgotten who exactly, one burnt down the multi million dollar house of her boyfriend due to anger. This is an international star for that matter.

Ebuka / Biggie actually caused this and this is evident by Ebuka's feeling of guilt this evening. You noticed he didn't shake any tables tonight. He just asked general questions.

Why will Ebuka bring up an issue of 4 weeks ago making it look fresh? Erica and Laycon have talked about it and settled it then Ebuka brought it up again last week.

To Erica, it's as if laycon was gossiping about her round the house, lying that she's been trying to kiss him. She even asked to clear the issue up with laycon, but the latter has been evasive all week. He would later explain to biggie today why he refused to discuss the issue with her all week.

Ebuka caused this and its unfair to the girl.

Ever since rejecting laycon, Erica has been trying to ensure that he doesn't feel too hurt or pained by her decision. When laycon was giving her distance, she called laycon and told him her concern, even asking laycon if he hates her.

She has been cool with laycon in the house before Ebuka's madness. Remember when she first won the HoH, she went to laycon as a true friend to let him know why she might not pick him as DHoH, not that she owes him any explanation, but she was only trying to be a good friend ,eventually making him the second choice after Kidd. Before you say she's just being manipulative, remember she didn't choose laycon the second time not even as a guest, even nominating him for eviction because she now saw him as an enemy.

I feel so sorry for her and in a way she reminds me of zinedine zidane in 2006 and how temper can undo you just at the edge of breakthrough .

I loved her competitive spirit and I'm sure even her greatest critics will not but admire her as a formidable member of the house. She produced some of the major talking points in BBN lockdown.

And for those who will say that she should have controlled her temper , remember William congreve's immortal words about hell having no fury like a woman scorned is a truism for all time.

I feel so sorry for elites now, but I do admire their doggedness and how they stood by their fav despite the many controversies and pls this is not the time to start taunting them, lets give them the decency to mourn their loss. Nobody flogs a dead horse by the way and it's just a game.

Erica's last moment in the house is a scene i wish I can unsee. The look on her face as biggie was reading the verdict still burns my soul to this moment .

With all due respect, I don't think you actually needed help with optimizing your 24v system rather you just wanted to get sympathetic cheer in going back to your 12v system. That in itself is not bad but let's not abuse free consultation that is done here.

I saw Oga Niyi and some seasoned RE enthusiasts here advice you about how to optimize your 24v systems, yet you kept repeating questions already answered....As soon as you got a comment nudging you to return to 12v, you nodded in unison...... I personally don't find such attitude wholesome for this type of platform.

If your mind is already made up as to a certain step, come out straight, let people know where you need help with your choice and get assistance on it. Don't make those sharing priceless knowledge for free look funny.

From the advice Niyi gave, I'll need to invite the installer again to climb the roof and make adjustments but he lives far from where I am. I'm in the riverine area of ondo state, he's in Akure

Inviting him over again is another cost that is why I considered going back to the 12 v setup because I can still do that myself (I have done that anyway) without having to make adjustments to the panels up.

I was actually not well informed otherwise I wouldn't have gone for the 24 v inverter. In my novice mind, I tot a 24 v setup will mean more power generation.

If I had known, I would just hv bought more panels and not bothered to buy the 24v inverter.

ANd pls, I feel offended by insinuating I'm abusing the privilege of the thread.

If you ask me, I will suggest you continue to use your 12V as it is, then set up another system with 24V, solar power etc to be another power source. It is an equivalent of having a small generator and a big generator.

Come closer let me whisper something else to you; for my inverter that I designated to be for fridge, I opted to use car battery for that. The idea is during the day, as long as there is sun my fridge and freezer get powered. That off and on cycling of compressor in my experience takes a toll on most batteries, car batteries are more suited for providing high start up current. When the sun goes down, any extra hours I get (typically two to three hours) is bonus to me. Once that one drains out, I change over to the other inverters. Please do not tell anyone what I just told you, not now that everyone is heading towards lithium.

I personally hate having only one point of failure. One day I will write about my experience with DC house lighting, wind turbine, 2 x 24V system, 2 x 12V system, and how I cycle through them. The one I allow to be used and abused and the ones that I pamper.
It is that system that made me use batteries from 2013 and only had to replace this year. One of the remaining one from the 2013 set is what I have shifted to one of my 12V system, I will use it to its last breath. Talk about sustainability and helping the environment.

Ok sir. I will continue with the 12v setup.

Though we say 24v nominal, your 250w panels are likely to be putting out something more in the 30-35volts range. I haven't laid hands or eyes on a small panel in a very long time so I really can't remember the specs.

Two things are happening here

1) Understanding what *amps* really represent - whenever anyone gives you an amp reading, you must immediately ask - at what voltage please

So 80amps in a 12v nominal system is approximately 40amps in a 24v nominal system - Your daily solar harvest should be measured in either watts or rounded to KWatts or measured in Amp-Hour equivalent So most likely your CC was showing 80amp hours at 12v which works out to about 40amp hours at 24v nominal - your 25amp hour observation is more like 50amp hours if converted to 12v. equivalent.

2) To the crux of the matter - an MPPT CC requires some voltage headroom to work - when you were running 12v nominal battery setup and using 250w 24v nominal panels, you had sufficient voltage headroom for the MPPT to work with. Now that you have moved to 24v nominal battery system, you must reconfigure your panels to be 2 panels in series so that there is sufficient voltage headroom for the MPPT's buck converter to work with.

Put the two units 250w panels together in series, do thesame for the 300w and then combine the free cable ends into a combiner box or cable going to the CC.

As you mixed 250w and 300w panels, you may find your PV output capped as if you had only four units of 250w panels but that should be okay for you. You may want to phase out the smaller panels with future upgrades so you can fully utilise ur PV capacity.

Lastly, beware of changing settings without knowing what they do or how exactly the change would help your situation - 1 day of overcharging may be sufficient to do serious damage to your batteries. I have seen a DIYer kill 2 brand new batteries because he upgraded to 24v and left his charger at 12v nominal. Sad loss but nothing could be done for him.

The CC brand is SRNE.

The battery settings changes from fld to L1 to gel to sld so I believe sld means solid.

About the panels. Like I said up, on my previous setup I was getting up to 16amps instantaneous harvest so somebody on here advised I should get two additional panels that each panels can give a minimum of 6 additional amps thereby increasing my harvest.

The installer that did the upgrade assured me I should be harvesting 200 amps daily now but...

I'll be trying what u suggested and hopefully it works

Baba, you dey harvest 80-90A from a 30A CC? That side weak me oo. Though I have seen panels on this platform performing wonders I don't know whether this your CC follow join.

Anyway, as for the 25A you're getting now, it is well within the rating of your CC & I believe its good enough considering your set up. One quick knowledge to always put in mind is a particular set up will only give you half the charge current if you double the system voltage. I hope I'm correct sha and I hope you understand.

The 80 - 90 amps I talked about is the total daily power generated (often expressed in kWh on this thread, but my CC records in AH) not the instantaneous amps harvest while the sun is shining.

For the previous set up, the instantaneous harvest could be as high as 16 amps sometimes but in the new setup, the max I've ever observed is 8 amps.

So I decided to do a minor upgrade to my setup.

My previous setup was 2* 250 watts solar panels (poly)
1 tubular battery 220 amps
1 kva (12v) inverter
30/40 amps MPPT CC

I have note upgraded to:

Added 2 *300 watts solar panels (mono)
Changed my battery to 2* 200 amps deep cycle
Changed my inverter to 2.5kva 24 volts
My CC remains unchanged.

All the solar panels are connected in parallel (24 volts each.

Now the mystery.

Since I upgraded last week, my harvest has gone down so considerably.

Under my previous setup, I was harvesting btw 80-90 amps daily but since I've upgraded, the max I've harvested is 25 amps(really?) and the sun has been shining.

I'm really so confused. I hv called the installer and he promised to come check by weekend but before he comes, I want to know exactly what the problem could be cos he himself sounded confused.

I hv been looking at my MPPT CC. I changed the battery settings from flooded to solid(dunno if this is correct) to see if there will be changes. I'll check when I get home In the evening.
