Just like what I wrote on Instagram a while ago

I support this 100 percent. Infact they should make it ten years sef . The same with Doctors and Dentists. This should however be mostly applicable to graduates of government tertiary institutions funded through subsided education

However the government should also do better for medical personnel in Nigeria. Increase their pay and employ more hands not this nonesense government does every now and then
your head is not correct! Spewing rubbish! Not just 10years, come and make it 50yrs

Good evening to you too! It's great to hear that your sister is considering further studies in Canada. With a 3-year diploma in medical records from Nigeria, she definitely has options for continuing her education.

In Canada, there are diploma programs available for various fields, including healthcare. These diploma programs can provide practical skills and knowledge that can be valuable for career advancement. Your sister can explore diploma programs related to healthcare administration, medical office administration, or health information management. These programs can help her enhance her skills and open up more opportunities.

Apart from diploma programs, there are also other options like certificate programs or even bachelor's degree programs, depending on her long-term goals and interests. It's important to research and find the programs that align with her career aspirations and meet the admission requirements.

I would recommend checking out the websites of Canadian colleges and universities to explore the specific programs they offer. They usually provide detailed information about admission requirements, program duration, and course content. Additionally, it's a good idea to reach out to the admissions offices of these institutions for personalized guidance and advice.

I hope this helps your sister in her pursuit of further studies in Canada! If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask. Good luck to your sister on her educational journey!

It will end in praise
thanks for the recommendations. I appreciate!

Since your sister already gotten her OND, she can go for any medical course in undergraduate depending on her age. She can as well apply for certificate courses in medical field.
Thank you very much for your prompt response!

Hello guys,

I did IELTS general. My result just came out and this is the below result. It was paper based. I am not satisfied with reading, writing and listening. Please can I remark them and get a higher score? Below is what I had before

Overall is 7
Listening 6.5
Reading 7.5
Writing 6.5
Speaking 7.5

Thank you
Reading and listening would most likely not change as the answers were programmed into the system. You can try rewriting.

I saw this thread (https://www.nairaland.com/7752744/meet-highest-jamb-scorers-last) about the top scorers in JAMB in a decade, and as an admirer of academic excellence, I thought about where these scholars are today. The mini-research brought about interesting results, which I explained after the compilation.

Officially known as UTME, but popularly known as JAMB, the organising body. It is the exam Nigerian students write to gain admission into universities nationwide. For easy understanding, both JAMB and UTME will be used interchangeably. I could not find anything for some people, so it is stated as “nothing was found”. In few cases, I was not sure, so no definitive statement was stated. If you know such persons, kindly comment.

JAMB score is: /400

How can a level 7 civil servant in a federal parastatal earn 60k? That's not true, the least should be at least 250 minus pension and tax. Go verify. Depending on the agency level 7 can earn 300k or slightly above in the present economy and approved by the Salaries and Wages commission and captured as a legal document in their conditions of service.

Level 7 is a senior office probably new entrant so 60k is not reasonable unless in Local government councils.
someone reading your post will think you have facts to back it up. Which level level 7 earns atleast 250k?

They rescheduled your date to tomorrow for both speaking and the other parts. You can reschedule to a more convenient day if you can’t make it tomorrow. Also, you must present the physical passport before you can be allowed to take the exam.

Landing Gist

Hello everyone,
so like everyone i also enjoy reading landing gist, but i dont post that much however I promised myself ill share mine when the time comes.
So I decided to move to Canada in 2020 cos Lagos was showing me pepper, my job was toxic and it was time for a new start. so i started my application but at that point i only had two years of work experience i had to wait till 2021, so i started with IELTS, then i got 6.5 for a second time in IELTS writting, i knew i did better so i asked them to remark it and then i got 7 thank God. in April 2021 i finally got a good ielts which boosted my profile score to 475. In september i got a pnp nomination and by december 2021, I had submitted my application .
Then the waiting began, this part took so long, and it requires a lot of patience, however in my experience every time i applied for gcms note thats when i see movement on my file, so if you are thinking of applying for gcms note do it. finally on the first of march 2023, i got my passport request. 1 year and some months later. I submitted my passport then I paid 29,000 for courier fee and i got my passport back in a months time.

the travel
I went through Abuja, the airport is pretty and big, and not as stressful as Lagos, I highly recommend it if you dont live in Lagos. I got there 4hours early, i travelled with lufthansa airline, the staff at the check in were so nice, i always assume because i look younger than my age people wont ask me for money lol, but all of them asked for money, i had to settle them cos i had palm oil in my bag.
I was very early so the whole process was really smooth and seamless. Then it was time to board, it was a late night flight from 10pm to 5am germany time. This plane ride wasnt great for me the food took too long to come, and they didnt give us any snacks. I also have a very sensitive stomach so after eating i fell asleep and when the plane was about to land in frankfurt, i started feeling like i was going to throw up and pass out, the food didnt taste bad but my stomach didnt like it. i had to start practicing breathing exercises into a paper bag. I was pressing the bell for the hostess but none of them came, I passed out for a little bit and i felt light headed, but thankfully i was okay, but my experience was already below average.
I finally landed in frankfurt, i had an 8hr layover. so i first i went to shower which cost about 6.90 dollars it comes with towel, soap, lotion, hair dryer and lots of privacy i spent almost an hour in there. then i found napcabs and slept for 2hrs which made me feel a lot better. I was going to explore the rest of the airport but i fell asleep again on the chair i was sitting in lol. then it was finally time to go to canada, they said the flight was full so we can only have one carryon, i had two so they decided to check one in free for us. unfortunately i checked in my bag with the winter jacket i bought. looking around everyone was wearing winter jacket, the canada cold everyone has been warning us about im about to brave it with the flimsiest jumper ever made. i started praying that the airport will be warm. luckily it was a sunny day in calgary and i was worried for nothing.
The port of entry in Calgary was so seamless, i checked yes for smoked fish, cray fish in my bag, but they didnt ask me to open the bag. I had to go to an area marked E for permanent residents but it literally took 5mins they asked for my passport ,COPr and my new address, I gave my airbnb address and that was it, they didnt even ask about proof of funds. I dont know anyone here so i just took the taxi to my airbnb, i started getting overwhelmed cos i dont have a sim to call uber or the right charger to charge my phone so paid for dingtone and booked uber to best buy for a new sim, which was so expensive omg i got virgin media, then i went to walmart to get groceries as well. and that concluded my day one
I’m jet lagged and awake at 2am calgary time writting this post, I’m excited for this new chapter, scared that i moved by myself because people say its lonely without being married first but i guess i have coconut head. so if you are in Calgary lets hangout! if you know any eligible bachelor in calgary send them my way.
congratulations 🎉 Hope to join you soon by God’s grace.

Seem anti-japa posts are now been sponsored on nl lol. You should check the life expectancy rate in Nigeria compared to all those countries you mentioned above. Everything is not about money. Your leaders’ children are not in this country. If you want your kids to study a 4 years course for 6 yrs, then that’s your choice and I respect it. We all have our choice to make.,

Mob action did not start in Nigeria, the west have been hanging criminals before their judicial system became matured.

So because we now have internet today, then our own is now barbaric. We need to continue with jungle Justice, until we are matured enough.

PPR/COPR ALERT!!! grin (Sorry I'm a bit late)

Timeline below:
Decided that Nigeria was not for me: May 2019
*1st IELTS: August 2019 (I got good scores but didn’t have Masters/extra certificate, so my CRS score was 432 I was hoping to get PNP, but I never got a nomination)
*CRS Score from year 2019 to 2021 = 432
*TCF French exam written: May 2021
*TCF French exam passed: June 2021
*New CRS Score in June 2021 = 500
*1st IELTS expired in August 2021, so I rewrote it in July 2021
*2nd IELTS passed July 2021 (with higher scores than last time)
*New CRS Score in 2021 = 506
*September 2022: Moved to the UK for Masters. Original plan was to do the Msc in Canada after becoming a PR but 1 year Master’s compared to 2 years in Canada is better for me.
*ITA received: 28th September 2022
*Medicals done in London: November 2022
*Submission & AOR: 25th November 2022
*Biometrics in London: 22nd December 2022
*PPR letter received: March 1st 2023
*Passport received by London VFS: March 7th
*Passport/COPR received: March 15th

Extra Notes: I am single and in my late 20s, so I never had issues with losing marks since 2019 when I started the journey.

It’s funny how whenever I tell people my CRS score they think that I was lucky to have had a high score but they forget that I was in the pool for 3 whole years before getting ITA. My EE profile expired 3 times.

This journey is not for the faint-hearted but by the Grace of God, with your hard work and resilience. You will also give your testimony too!!! cheesy
congratulations 🎉
