Honestly, it was not their fault. The AFCON is becoming seriously difficult for all the big countries that has dominated the trophy winning in the last twenty years. Other small small countries in Africa are putting strong challenges to the big countries. Countries like Cape Verde, Equatorial Guinea are posing strong contention to the trophy. See countries like Equatorial Guinea beating ivory coast at their backyard with so much goals. Cape Verde drawing with mighty Egypt. Egypt didn't win a single match despite qualifying for the next round. Nobody can predict who will win the tournament.

Nigeria media can do the same because we behave alike.

Poor parenting is the root course of the problem. I still remembered that goal from late Stephen Keshi , from outside box 18. Powerful shot at goal. The stadium silent like a grave yard. What pains me was our semi final against Ghana. Mutiu had scored with his head and Ghana equalized . Abedi Pelle scored to make it two goals to one.

Stop debating about his age. After all he is playing as under 20 or under 17. This is senior national team and age does not matter.

In Algiers 90, when we paraded local players and they paraded good names, like Yussuf Fofana, Abdullah Traore , they were beating. Nigerian and ivory coast Derby is always 50-50. It can go other way. When we were preparing for USA 94, we nearly beat them in Abidjan. If not because of chances that Siasia OKOCHA and Amuneke missed in that match we would have beat them 4 goals to nothing. They came to Lagos and ate 4 goals on reverce match. Yesterday match could have also went on their favour but luck on us as you said.
