Jordi alba brothers and sisters. Griezmann was in a better position but he passed to Messi. Same thing happened again he passed to a crowded Messi rather than squaring it across. When I complain now they will say I have a vendetta or agenda.

FirstbornWds: [s] This point is baseless. Messi was not really "backward". It was a case of linking up with others without taking on passes. And guess what? The ball didn't stay back after the pass. You expect FDJ to always see that Trincao and Dest is open from that angle where he's still holding the ball? Like seriously? You think he has other eyes watching from the sidelines or from atop to see all of what you're critizing him about?
Really?
Messi is not the problem of the team. The team is the problem itself.
And you actually said the team plays better without Messi? Brcsje of the exploits against mediciore Dynamo and Ferv?
Why didn't they do the same against R.Betis until he came in?
It's obvious you're blinded by hate or should I call it sentiments... And if any of these isn't the case, you obviously are nothing but a casual football viewer, looking to make excuses for something that is wrong. [/s] Your first paragraph already showed how clueless you are. |

Here is a perfect example someone identified on Twitter. Same shiit every match day. This isn’t even about justt De jong. It’s about every player in our squad whosw first option is “pass to Messi”, When they are people in better position. There is a reason we play better without him.

Players need a working system and a plan. Not a team where the older players run things and Messi basically has unlimited powers to do what he wants.
Get rid of problematic amigos in the team that impede change, sign a manager with some ideas, bring in a board that doesn't see signings are marketing ploys.
Until then, I am more tempted to believe everyone plays worse for Barca than for other teams because we are a bleeped up club. And when I see some Presidential candidates want to build a new team on 34 years old Messi, can't say I'm surprised. It shows a huge lack of any perspective and planning. Just words to win votes by pandering to a gullible audience. |

jpmoriarti: Valverde had a 29 yr old Messi, still banging goals and winning ballon d'or. Valverde had a hungry, younger Suarez at his peak. What did he achieve with them He achieved ultimate humiliation each year. Installed a chicken, fragile mentality on the players. The players collapse like a pack of cards once the pressure takes a slight notch. He created a Barcelona wallowing in utter mediocrity. Please, please don't bring Valverde in the same sentence here again.
Koeman on the other hand, is having to grapple with the consequences of wasted years. Consequences of having a group of players at the lowest ebb of their careers. Players whose mentality have taken a huge confidence knock. Players who have aged more. Messi is now 33 etc. A disbalanced squad with Players who have no place in the team. Players like Griezmann, Coutinho, Lenglet, Braithwaite sadly do not have a place in the team. I hope Koeman changes this but he has one of the worst jobs in club management right now. The prime reason - after 4 months of Koeman - why the 4-2-3-1 hasn't reached its best is Messi. Why? Because his 'free' role means that i) we defend always with 10 ii) we cram more people than what we should centrally iii) the ball has to go always through him, any fluidity and movement from the front 4 is destroyed. Check the difference of the team play with and without Messi. And guess what. Even with any other formation the above structural problems will never be cured. |

Very hilarious people here
Sancho performs brilliantly in his last 2 seasons.
* He is overhyped *He is doing it in a Farmers league *He is playing for Dortmund an attacking team. * Rashford benches him for England
Sancho starts a new season poorly after missing out on a big transfer * I told you before he is not good enough

Common sense should have told him not to say ' which record did Conte broke o' The context literally mean Conte didn't set any record in England Ojurongbe: Klopp broke Guardiola 100points record last season Godx in replying to you now said: Ehnnnn, please which record did klopp break o What am I disputing here? |

OJURONGBE1: You're very silly. Did he not ask which record Conte break o? I wasn't even interested in the record points context but his question of Conte didn't set any record. In my defense, did i write how Conte won the league with record points but rather showed him the good Conte did with two records he set. Did Conte not equal 13 match winning streak? Did he not set 30 EPL matches wins out of 38?
You need a jail term in your brain. Of course you will still want to argue which is typical This was the first post BikeMan: Conte won you the league, breaking the record for points alongside too. And this was the reply raumdeuter: Please which points records did Cuntay break o? Did they tell you this at an Okada park?
What was the former record for points and what did Cuntay make?
You and any of the 4 people who liked your post can reply with evidence
Na like this story of India vs Nigeria 100-1 start So common sense didn't tell you he was talking about the point record and point record alone? You can not be this slow na |

OJURONGBE1: In a bid to denigrate Antonio Conte and sound correct , you forgot he did these below:
Most league wins in premier league season (30/38) in 2016-17 season before Man City broke it with 32 wins a year later.
Most consecutive League winning streak ; 13 wins at a stretch, 1 October 2016 – 31 December 2016. Equalled Arsenal record
Conte may have had a disappointing second season at the Bridge but his first is amongst the most memorable in Premier League history. I hate when people just jump into an argument without understanding the main focus and start writing completely out of point. The first poster said "Conte won the league breaking the point record along the way" which is false. The other person replied and dared him to prove how Conte broke the point record. But you that don't understand anything just jumped in and started writing completely out of point. Nothing you have written is related one bit. Nairaland posters are fond of just jumping onto a post without actually understanding even an atom of the topic or argument being discussed. |

Topmaike007: Perez will always command respect for letting CR7 go in peace.. Barca being weaker mentally than Madrid showed with Messi. No way Madrid tolerate some of the stuff Messi pulled at Barca. You can tell by how Madrid handled Ronaldo and how Barca handled Messi. Not only Madrid got more Champions league out of Ronaldo in the same timeframe Messi was at Barca. But they also sold him instead of giving up to his demands, and turn a profit by doing that. Great professional management of a star and possibly the greatest player in their club's history. Compare it to us Barca giving up to Messi's shenanigans, and making him incredibly overpaid even at the sight of huge financial troubles. Night and day. You have some clowns who want to be presidents already talking about keeping Messi who has declined so much at 33 and advertise getting Neymar to please Messi.

Baddestguyp: before you blame Messi...ask yourself why Messi has to drop so deep to create anything
Ask yourself why your coach keeps benching one of our most creative midfielders (Riqui Puig) but keeps playing useless Coutinho (bayern reject) and that Eibar player Trincao
Ask yourself why we always run a double pivot of two uncreative midfielders one of which is a finished old snail (Busquets)
Ask yourself why we play with no creative midfielder who can play defence splitting passes and rely on Messi for those
Ask yourself why the coach puts 5 or 6 forwards on the pitch anytime we are losing...(NB it has never worked for us so far yet he keeps doing it)
Ask yourself why no one seems to take outside the box shots except Messi...why we keep making 100 passes inside opponent box before we decide to shoot a blocked shot or lose the ball
Ask yourself why the coach practices favouritism and Nepotism and will only give reasonable playing time to those he likes even if they keep playing shit Why 80% of our targets for January are Dutch players
Koeman is a useless fraud that needs to go...said it weeks back In the last 3 matches without Messi, the whole team was flying. All players moved around a field freely and passed freely. They had several passing options. When Messi is on a field, our players turn into braindead zombies who are afraid of him, who can't pass freely anymore. Messi takes every ball, slows down and plays some stupid hero balls. Messi is a huge reason why we are slow in a build up and attack and why teams are parking a bus. Imagine a match without Messi: = if Coutinho has a counter, he will release a pass fast to Braith or Griezz. And we will shoot 10 seconds later. The same action with Messi on a field: Cou can't play a fast pass. He needs to slow down and pass to Messi. Braith and Griezz won't get the ball behind the defence in a counterattack. Messi will slow down, dwell on a ball, wait until the opponent parks the bus and then he'll try a hero looped through ball to Alba or some weird, illogical shit. Once out of 10 attempts, that pass will work and some fans will say: but but but he had 2 key passes. Yes, he did. But he lost like 18 other balls, killed counters, killed the movement from our attackers etc. He is ruining majority of actions and his decisions are quite dumb lately. People laughed at Kiev and Ferenc. We could have scored 10+ easy goals in 2 matches without Messi. But when Messi returned against a mighty Cadiz, we play worse and slower than ever. You don't need to be a Sherlock to figure out why. |
