@dvbguy

i really appreciate your efforts in introducing this tread. your tutorials have also been helpful. a friend of mine got me Skystat2 pci card from uk. following your instructions, i can confirm that i have succeeded in downloading lots of file since i started early this week using skynet with progDvb. this 'fishing' is quite an interesting adventure.

once again . thank you

@all

to all premiership lovers. there is a west african beam of Eutelsat w6 at 22.6e. ku band. the beam according to lyngsat does not cover nigeria but i was able to get . freq: 11653v 15714sr 11669v 2480sr the station is 2M from morocco. they show one premiership per week. this week is fulham v arsenal on Saturday at 5.30pm

however i did not try it with 90cm dish. i only rotate my 2.4m dish to get it. but the signal is very strong. i got 80% quality on strong decoder. i believe 90cm should get.

@flalover

what type of dish are you looking at?

if you are looking for net or pan dish, then you can get it at Alaba Int'l market. but if you looking for fiber it is better you

build it locally. Alaba is known for imported pan and net dishes.

@Nwabunnia

i can tell you that 4654x firmware will work for you. i have used it before. anyway i hope the firm firmware is completely down loaded. and not corrupted.

@bodejohn.

well i stay in lagos. i have 2.4m dish but it is fiber. i am able to motorized it to get nilesat and w3. i am not sure you can get nilesat on 2.4m net. but i think you should be able to get w3. try adjust inclination and the LNB screw.

@enitan2002

if you wish to solve your attenuation problem you can fix a line applifier in the middle of the cable. it's only 1000naira from oshodi if alaba is too far.
