The Head of clinical services of Federal Neuropsychiatry hospital Barnawa in Kaduna who just returned from the hospital where the injured are being treated gave a moving account, relayed below : Dear ALL, I just left St Gerard Hospital. All the six are stable. It's surprisingly that in a bus where 7 people including d driver died, some just sustained bruises. Such is life. Very painful was one of them who was reported to be asking if others were okay but later died about 2km to Kaduna. He bled from possibly a torn femoral or rectal artery. Unfortunately the state hospital Doka General Hospital where the accident occurred had no facilities no doctor on duty to resuscitate him. He still survived about 60km drive before he gave up shouting 'I'm dying I need blood, pls resuscitate me'. Even the survivors were saying their only regret was that the guy died and they couldn't revive him.
As against our initial plan to transport them back to Ekiti on Wednesday, they are likely to go tomorrow. They are very stable. We were able to get Yoruba local dishes for them as requested. Secondly their families kept calling and we don't want them to start making long journeys to Kaduna from Ekiti. Thirdly the Ekiti State government has sent ambulance to convey the corpses which will return back to Ekiti tomorrow morning. We will transport the survivors with FNPH bus to go with the ambulance at the same time. May God Almighty repose the soul of Dr Aladesanmi and the rest and give their families the courage to bear this terrible loss.
The LOC in consultation with the NOC of NMA resolved to, as a mark of respect to our departed colleagues cancelled the sight seeing visits and the cocktail shall be low keyed.

The NMA President, Dr. Kayode OBEMBE and members of the National Officers’ Committee (NOC), the Chairman, LOC Dr. Abdulgafar Jimoh and Sokoto State NMA members, while on our journey from Tangaza and Sokoto on free medical mission, received the sad news of accident that involved the Ekiti State NMA delegates.

The news had it that Ekiti State NMA Bus had an accident on Abuja Kaduna highway and recorded some fatalities, the number of which is yet to be confirmed.

We hereby express our profound shock, condolences and commiserations on this dastardly event.

As of now, we are informed that Kaduna State NMA has dispatched a team of doctors to handle the situation while we await further information.

We pray that the souls of our colleagues lost in this accident rest in perfect peace. We also pray for quick recovery of the survivors.

A medical consultant earns far more than a proffesor in almost all countries of the world. In the united states, an entry level post resident doctor makes from $180k to $500k per annum depending on specialty while even the top proffrsors who are dean of colleges hardly make above $130k.
In nigeria,an entry level government consultant makes about 700k montly excluding outside consultations while a new proffessor make about 430k.
This difference is quite understandable since doctors are quite functional.people who also bring in money for the facilites and also impart knowledge on students while proffesors only impart knowledge and hardly bring in any money to their universties.
Nigeria doctors are one of the most poorly paod in the world that is why we are losing them by thousands to better paying countries like the us,uk,saudi arabia and now even namibia and botswana where they are in very high demand.

Your quoted figures are highly exaggerated. Entry level Medical Consultants at home and abroad don't earn Asiko much as the figures you quoted.

LG products carry a 2 year pan-African warranty, and they answer to warranty calls. What you are supposed to do is get the customer care number of their warranty centre, call them, and they could either ask you to bring it down or they come to your home to fix it, depending on the device. I had an issue with a LED TV still under warranty, took it there, and it was fixed free. Also had an issue with a washing machine (actually it was my fault cause rats gained assess into the machine and chewed the wures) but they fixed it for free

If You can't slice and dice, they sell canned pre-diced fried rice ingredients in supermarkets

I made one very delicious one AV forthnight ago
You would be needing the following ingredients: fresh carrots, green peas, spring onions, Sweet corn, green pepper, curry, seasoning cubes, rice and salt to taste.
You can get the first 5 from the abokiis that sell in wheel barrows. Advice you tell them you want to buy like #300 worth. Then a small can of Sweet corn.
Boil your chicken/turkey with seasoning and onions, add a lil water cause you'd be needing it for the rice.
Wash your ingredients and clean the carrots properly.
Get your chopping board or improvise with a tray and a small stick
Slice/dice all of your ingredients into small bits
Fry your chicken in hot oil and keep the used oil cause you'd be needing it
Now open the sweet corn and drain the water inside
Reheat your oil, add all your sliced and diced ingredients inside including the sweet corn
Fry on low heat for some minutes, add a cube or 2 of seasoning
Drain it from the oil
Now, boil a little water for the rice.
Add your rice, parboiled or washed depending on your preference
Allow to boil a little. Add seasoning, salt, curry, and the water used to cook the chicken. Also add sufficient oil
Close and allow to cook.
When the rice is 3/4 done, add the fried vegetables.
Close and allow to steam for some minutes.
Stir properly, taste it and cover it again, turn the cooker to lowo heat and allow to steam for a few extra minutes.
Serve and enjoy
