Unrelated tho... Iwobi no know say one-day e go siddon for bench 90 minutes... Baba shock💔😂😂

Team selection is a big headache to any coach especially with varied options, that was so brave from the coach, never expected it. Very soon na so Ndidi go sit down for bench, like Nacho Dey chop bench now.

don't vex me. When eguavoen fails now, you and your cronies will recoil to your shell like snails and say nothing

you mean we can't qualify for Afcon? As for WCQ I hope you know it's not totally in our hands, there is no other magic any new coach be it local or foreign can do now. If we can't qualify for Afcon then the players are the problem, not the coach.

Seems poor maintenance culture is wide across Africa. Even the well touted Rwanda can't maintain a stadium they refurbished and open in freaking JULY.

grin any team in Africa that wants to beat the Eagles must always play them on a bad pitch, they know your Europe-based players are at their best on great pitches, watch out when we go SA, they go carry us go another yeye stadium or pitch. I remember an SA analyst in one of our past matches with them advised their FA to take the Eagles to a bumpy pitch to destabilise the European-based Eagles as they are more used to better pitches. He mentioned it on a live TV program so these things are very intentional

Nigerians. Their cry is always gimme gimme gimme. No patience, no faith.

Walahi if I were the one in charge, Eguavoen would have continued after failing to qualify us for the WC. Yes. Success is a process that involves failure. We want to succeed, we don't want to fail. But you cannot succeed, without failing.

Jpes was losing matches, drawing matches. We allow am. He took us to AFCON finals. If it's our own, two match with bad results, they start crying sack sack sack.

I hope we get it right this time after all NFF said they no get money for foreign coaches so leave AE for now, he seems to understand our Afcon success and how to build on it, That's what I am liking in him now

That is why I am talking about the shape of the team. We need more midfield adherence from the coaching crew.

With Onyedika, Iwobi and Dele Bashiru, we can comfortably knock the ball to create clear chances for the forwards. With Bruno and Aina, you have two players that can move with and without the ball soundly. Semi and Ekong are good ball players. Ndah and Bassey are sound too. We have no excuse not to play in a more controlled manner.

I expect Eguavoen to work on this going forward. He really had time to prepare for the game. I can cut him some slack due to that.

the 3 midfielders you mentioned can't play together at the same time for now and you know it. You're so fixated on Onyedika and I understand but we need an Ndidi or an Onyeka holding the forte it's either a bashiru or an Iwobi. Am more sold on Iwobi though

I enjoyed the game today.

Very interesting match. I'm sure President Paul kagame enjoyed it too.

They will come to God'swill Akpabio too and this time their President won't follow them.

aaah the president was there? no wonder they canceled our goal

The way we are set up make us miss on our offensive strength. We use three at the back because we are rushing the ball out. If we have more control and deny the opposition chances with the ball, we won't need three.

It is also shocking with three central defenders, we can't knock the ball out of the defence.

Let us hold the ball more and build more attacks for our forwards.

oga joe our players never reach this level o, maybe as they play more together that's if we don't change coach so soon, this knocking of the ball no be every player sabi am o, make we no go use reggae scatter our blues o na beg I dey beg

We dey ever gree make dem learn? See Boniface feeling his way but we don't want him to get into the groove.

Small time now they will remove Eguavoen and we will start all over again. All the knowledge gathered will be lost.

that has always been our issue, not a big fan of Eguavoen but with what I saw today, he should continue. It's been a long time since I saw Eagles full of energy and composure at the same time. They never panicked after settling into the game. It's not about the opposition most times but the mentality of the team. This team has character

I watched the game from start to finish and I must commend their performance today, the very reason why I am advocating for AE to be given the job permanently

The boys were just unlucky, even Boniface had his best game for the team since making his debut

They all balled well

if that goal had gone in that would have been one of the best goals scored by an Eagles player, the keeper had no answer to that one, he should thank the bar post.

I am tired of Ndidi and yall know I never rated him. You can't give what you don't have. Put Onyedika there and let Onyeka fill in for Iwobi is need be

e no go easy like that, na wetin dey cause coach and player wahala be this o, that guy was not in afcon and he's been one of our very dedicated players, he can be gradually eased out of the team but not drastic like that. Did he cost us this game? I don't think so

With what I watched today, we can if we utilise our chances. And for their GK, yeah, he is good but everyday won't be a Xmas for him

more team play is what we need, that chance Simon missed should have been squared to Osi, he did square one later to Osi but the keeper was there though I felt Osi didn't hit that enough.

....not yet bro, a step at a time. Yes we played well hence I don't understand why some folks are bitter with the match result. We are simply unlucky.

There is no need to look for a blame, AE did well tactically.

Onyedika has shown repeatedly that his offers more to the team when it comes to movement and positioning. He is also crisp when it comes to passes and also filling gaps. How come Ndidi keeps getting the nod.

Eguavoen should really take time to align his strategy and give his assistants room to make tactical improvement to the whole philosophical approach of the team.

if Ndidi is dropped, folks will complain, I think it's a tough call for the coach now. You don't want to throw away all your experienced players

Eguavoen should always bring Iwobi in first half and Bashiru second half. He should also stop fielding only Ndidi in that midfield, add Onyeka. 3-5-2.

Iwobi not starting today is my reservation for the coach today and I asked earlier on this thread is he injured? Except that the coach did all the necessary subs

Still won't solve the midfield issue
Ejuke is no midfielder
Except your idea of a midfielder is a dribbler..

exactly that's what was needed to overcome the keeper today, dribble and open up space for another player to slot in, aina wan try but e no work grin

This Rwandan keeper stood on his today, fashi.

I’ll take a 0-0 away draw. The boys will know for WCQ against Rwanda, they have to be ruthless in front of goal.

We move!

the problem is after that Benin game, we started seeing interviews and highlights up and down as if we had won a cup already. We still have a long road. The team can get better but lets not be celebrating like we have arrived.
