rickyrex: presidential election is far different from state election, we have seen state been controlled by apc and during presidential election they lost to another party vice versa. in lagos during 2019 presidential election , apc had 500k vote while pdp had 400k vote just a slite different even thou apc has power in controlling the affairs of the state. 2023 will be very tiet, specially the southern part of nigeria where we have enlighten people Story. Tell me who in Ekiti would be voting Obi when presidential elections come. |

sonofthunder: Do you have any article on this? Here you go: https://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/01/buhari-vs-jonathan-beyond-election-charles-soludo/One of those present took the satire to some level by comparing Jonathan to the ‘performance’ of the former Governor of Anambra, Peter Obi. He noted that while Obi gloated about ‘savings’, there is no signature project to remember his regime except that his regime took the first position among all states in Nigeria in the democratization of poverty—- mass impoverishment of the people of Anambra. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, poverty rose under his watch in Anambra from 20% in 2004 (lowest in Nigeria then) to 68% in 2010 (a 238% deterioration!). |

PaChukwudi44: Oga APC has never won presidential elections in Edo state. Not even when the party was popular and with a sitting Governor.
Edolites already shown how much they value Tinubu by trooping out enmasse to reject him and his candidate after his stupid broadcast on the eve of the elections.
Going by religion. There are more Catholics than Muslims in Edo state so don't even go there My friend, you don't know Edo state as I do. Just as I don't know Abia as much as you do. The choice of Okowa would not help the Edo choice. Edo would feel the effect of Tinubu's candidacy far more than Atiku's. Oshiomhole would claim Etsako, take that to the bank. Right next door is Kogi and they would support Bello. Benin would go against Obaseki - take that to the bank. Ẹsan would be the battleground. |
Politics › Re: I Think PDP Can Start Regretting Their Choice Of Atiku Who Should Be In Ekiti by Golan007: 8:40am On Jun 19, 2022 |
PaChukwudi44: Lol the same Edo state were people were very much angered by Tinubu's stupid broadcast enough to make them turn up for Obaseki Laughable. I can tell you authoritatively that Obaseki has brought regret to the Edo choice. Etsakor has a large swathe of Muslims and also happens to be Oshiomhole's stomping ground. It already has a deep APC structure. Ẹsan is the battle ground which means, regardless it would be shared. It wouldn't mind a SW president. And Benin is a liberal community. |

PaChukwudi44: If Tinubu hopes to be president he has to win the SS/SE/SW else he will never be president.
Kwankwaso/Atiku will own the north If Tinubu goes for Zulum, guaranteed all of North East would go Tinubu's way. In addition, he'll get the help of Ganduje in the Northwest due to his ongoing battle with Kwankwaso. Despite being a Muslim-Muslim ticket, SW would still go all out for Tinubu because in the Southwest every family has at least one Muslim and Christian and probably something in-between. I don't need to go further. |

PaChukwudi44: So Yoruba people believe once Nyesom Wike endorses or supports Tinubu it means Tinubu will automatically win Rivers or even the entire SS?
Are you people daft or what exactly? The problem is that you are a hardliner and it doesn't allow you see the big picture. Wike is definitely hurt and would get his revenge. Even if it is 30 thousand votes he can bring to the table, it would be 30 thousand more votes. Those that would have supported Tinubu anyway, still exist in their numbers in Rivers state. Delta votes are definitely 3 ways. Edo would likely fall Tinubu's way. Akwa Ibom would be Obi if he's on the ballot, else it would be well divided. Bayelsa, could swing either way. |

Fahdiga: Peter Obi represents the new generation of Nigerians comprising of both the poor and the wealthy in our society. Obi is the new face of Nigerians who wants our dear country to move forward in catching up with developed countries. Both Tinubu and Atiku represents the past whereby the majority of their supporters want the status quo to remain the same. Let us chose wisely and vote for Peter Obi for the development of our dear country

Igbos actually believe northerners would vote them.
The minute Kwankwaso picks Obi, his estimation in the eyes of the northern public would diminish.
What igbos have done to the north in the last 8 years has not gone unnoticed. |
