TheGoodJoe: What dafuq? Nacho had limited time last season to use his goals to tag him. I already wrote about Guardiola's system which has Gabby Jesus, Sane, Sterling, Aguero scoring tap-in goals. It is the system. Will you call them tap-in merchants? You were wrong there move on. Finito. Even as a sub,he scored goals last season. The quality of his goals is not parallel to time spent on the pitch. You can't defend him with the "limited time" argument. Has he ever been a starter for Man city? |

TheGoodJoe: Does saying Iheanacho score a tap in goal make him a tap in merchant? Seriously. I have given you multiple goals and you are saying one goal. SMH. I wonder if you understand what tap in merchant means at all. Being a tap in merchant is nothing to be ashamed of. The only limitation is that he may not function properly in a team without 2 line breakers who will break the first and second defensive line which leaves him with the easy job of tapping it in. No wonder he couldn't function properly against South Africa owing to the absence of Moses who is the only line breaker we have in the final third. |

TheGoodJoe: Now you are being Incoherent. What does that have to do with Iheanacho not being a tap-in merchant. Is it painting you that Iheanacho was rightly awarded a goal? Or, you do not know that a deflected shot by a fellow teammates gets the goal. But you were gyrating up and down with examples of the few goals he scored outside the box. Now I have brought up his tap ins, you've gone hysterical. |

If you like learn or argue. I should learn what exactly? That his goal against Man Utd from 1yard off Kevin De Bryan shot wasn't a tap in? Well, for his people to advice him to stay back in England to qualify for a British passport after Brexit tells me he's not surrounded by intellectuals exactly. Did I say you were his agent? |

TheGoodJoe: How can you call him Nigerian Chicarito? It is not true. Go and watch Iheanacho's highlights under Pellegrini, you will see a large percentage of his goals were not tap-in goals.
Simple. The tap-in were the few under Guardiola because Guardiola likes build-up goals. Sterling and Gabby Jesus are scoring tap-in goals. Does that make them tap in merchants too.
Even after I have listed goals Nacho scored for City that were not tap-in goals, you still tow in that line. If that will make you feel fine, you can believe in what is not true. Or learn, take corrections and move on. Your cup of tea. Even Chicarito scored a fee goals outside the 6yard box. Still doesn't make him any lesser than a tap in merchant. Better tell the young man to get his acts together, otherwise he could end up like Macheda. I have a feeling he's surrounded by a lot of illiterates and buisness men who just want to milk the cow. |

komekn: Osimhen is operating on past youthful glory as an U17 player, which is essentially small boys football. That as it stands is archived history of plus two years ago. No longer tenable or relevant for current assessment.
Currently, Solanke is the best player in the just recently concluded U20 World cup an accolade that is much closer to the professional senior game.
Solanke was already a regular on the Eredivisie as a 17 year old. Add to that was winning cups for Chelsea as the best youth team arguably in Europe but definitely in England.
Solanke is not just a bench warmer but a fully fledged senior team member for Liverpool.
Osimhen is struggling to warm the bench at Wolfsburg this is the reality. As it stands has he played up to one hour of football this season for struggling and lowly Wolfsburg.
This may be hard for some to digest but Osimhen will not enter the youth team of any top EPL club as it stands. If Indeed he could make the youth team of a Championship side that would be more probable but not certain.
So let's have no doubt Solanke is far ahead of Osimhen in every respect. Osimhen and Solanke are not so much dissimilar. You make it sound like there is a gulf in class between those 2. Solanke is Liverpool's 3rd choice striker while Osimhen is Wolfsburg's 3rd choice. They both have zero goals to their names this seaon, must be said Solanke have more minutes.. You seem to forget that Arsenal wanted Osimhen. Infact, he snapped a picture with Arsene Wenger in London during his visit to the Emirates for contract negotiations. Some rogue agents hijacked the deal and took him to Germany while Arsenal made due with Nwakali. Why you will say Osimhen can't make any youth team in England is baffling to say the least. I hate to say this, but the gospel truth is that the last U20 world cup was watered down in quality. Can you compare the standard witnessed in Korea to Nigeria 99,Holland 2005,2007 or even 2009 which Ghana won. Teams like Argentina weren't even in Korea. If the level of competition was as high as what we were used to, Solanke wouldn't have come close to become Mvp neither would England have won the cup. Yes Solanke did very well for Chelsea's youth team but you don't know how good Osimhen was for his youth team in Nigeria. He could have scored 100 goals in state competitions in Benin. Again, I say their records are very much identical. |

komekn: Nationality has nothing to do with it. From my perspective if seeing Traore as a teenager for Chelsea. He just didn't have the physicality at that time to impose himself on the highly competitive and physically tasking English EPL game.
But he has developed more so than Solanke in my opinion by playing in a more technically adapt league. That is suited to his style of play because in England he was getting bullied. Unlike Tega who was never bullied in a game. Actually nationality has a huge role to play. From the get go, the veiled glass ceilin tagged "work permit" already restricts players from certain countries. I'm honestly surprised you said nationality doesn't matter. I saw Traore for the first time in Chelsea pre season some 3-4years ago. He was hands down Chelsea's best player in their US tour. He out performed full international players in Chelsea at that time. I was actually looking forward to see him in the season proper, only to realise he had been sent in loan in Holland. I followed his progress up, especially when I realised he was the younger brother of the prodigiously talented Allan Traore. To be honest, I was expecting Kelechi to shape up to be out own Traore. Bearing in mind their presumed skill set (Kelechi's skills have since dissappeared), both South paw, the both pack a good shot to both. Unfortunately Kelechi have since been converted by Man city to a pragmatic tap in merchant and a willy fox in the box. Sad but true. |

You're just running around quoting random facts which hardly add up. First you said Traore is older than Solanke and they never played in the same category, then you make a reverse to claim Solanke achieved more in the age group he played with Traore. Come on! You have to be consistent. Like it or not, believe it or not. Solanke doesn't hold a candle light to Traore. Solanke is an exaggerated youth team player while his mate at the Chelsea academy is a full Pro. |

This is why I will always advocate for a solid home grown solution for talent development. I mean, haven't we been embrassed enough by these foreign born players? From Patrick Owomoyela, Nedum Onuoha, Sidney Sam, Charlton Cole, Denis Aogo,, the litany is endless like a bottomless pit. I get ashamed when I see people listing players who aren't interested in playing for the Super Eagles in their dream starting eleven for the World Cup. The NFF should kick start a programme with a good 10 year plan to develop the talent pool at home. This was exactly what Belgium did after getting knocked out in the group stage of the Euros they Co hosted with Holland in 2000. Belgium used to be European whipping boys. They simply got to work and developed from grassroot and inculcated a playing pattern and 4-3-3 formation from the U12's.. Today, they go into the world cup as one of the favorites. If we can build a solid structure at home, our national team will be better for it and these foreing born players will beg to play for us. |

Answer questions with facts, please. Thank you. Next. It is understandable for an African teenager to have limited opportunities. Eto's first few seasons in Spain points to the challenges an African teen faces in Europe. The question should be what you do when you get the opportunity. And so far I'm afraid, Traore have grabbed the opportunity given to him with both hands. Pls let give little respect to Solanke, from Chelsea to Liverpool,he is a good player, though he may not be special or talented like Tammy. I have noticed an anomaly on this thread for sometime. It appears alot of people rate youngsters on the strength of club they play for. For goodness sake, the SI unit for measuring the ability of a player shouldn't be on the basis of which club hr plays for, rather you measure and judge a player by what he brings to the table. Solanke as far as I'm concerned haven't pulled any trees. We are talking about a guy who went on loan to Holland and came up short. If he was Dutch born, do you think he will be signed up by Liverpool on the strength of his showing in Eredivisie? What if he was Norwegian? Do you think he will be in Liverpool? I saw some highlights of a Chidera Ejike in Norway and to be honest, if that boy was born in Hackney, he will be playing for Tottenham or Arsenal. The IQ of this thread should go beyond judging people because of where they are born. Please we can do better than that. |
