Hello mama’s.Please I need assistance on an affordable center to go to in Lagos or Ogun State to as we have decide to try for the rest of this year naturally but looking forward to ivf/iui in January.
Our health challenge is low sperm count and Our ages are female25,male35.
Tubes are open and hormones values are normal with good egg growth and ovulation but the concern is seedling fibroids which we know grows with time.
We have both treated infections in the past but there is still always staphylococcus in both sperm analysis and hvs.
We want to know if we are a good candidate for iui/ivf regardless of the staphylococcus.
Or if we can get pregnant naturally with the staphylococcus and how to improve the sperm count and if it is the staphylococcus affecting the sperm count.
I went online to research and doctors abroad don’t believe that staphylococcus can exist in the semen and it is just a contamination from the lab.
I don’t know what to do again. Please shook my in my matter.Any advice is welcome. Thanks

Avoiding dairy (milk, cheese, butter) can help fibroids disappear.
And, I don't think Staphyloccocus affects fertility or it's rare.

Thanks goldie, really do appreciate would send the message across . She already called the hospital in Nigeria and they told her she still has 6 frozen left and they wouldn’t know if it’s good or bad until it’s ready for use so they would thaw them or so. But she’s afraid if the hospital just want to collect money from her. Whether she should do it In Australia. But her clinic in Australia told her they can only transfer only one strong embryo after the fresh ivf. To avoid multiple birth. That’s their clinic policy
Lols. I understand. At a point, we also had to change clinics because of cost.
Thank God the embryos are in Nigeria sef. Let her transfer her embryos to a cheaper clinic of her choice. There are many low cost clinics these days, with good enough success. Plus Frozen embryo transfer is cheaper than standard ivf.

Hello all , please I need an advise for a friend , she’s currently in Australia and she plan to use her frozen embryos in naija but due to the lockdown, she’s confused whether to start a fresh ivf cycle in Australia but it’s expensive or wait till after the lockdown. She had a successful baby boy with the previous cycle of ivf at a first try. She’s really worried about having a second baby her son is 4 years old now. She’s not getting younger
Surely, she can wait for a few weeks for international borders to open. Few more weeks or months shouldn't affect her egg quality, if it isn't already bad.
As for Nigeria, all ivf clinics are working, there's no suspension of activities.
Concerning her embryos, I think frozen embryos can be transported from one clinic to another, usually in a small tank that's around the size of a big lunch box. But, I don't know if it can be transported on a flight. She should confirm from her clinic or ask the oyibo women in one of those ivf support groups on Facebook.
Also, I think there's a medical courier of some sort that can help with that.

Read blendy77 posts. She mentioned a clinic in lagos that she used. Or better still, just read through the thread, you'll get some clinic names accompanied by people's experiences and you can pick.

don’t mind him, most of these people talk anyhow they talk about IVF as if isn’t costly as if it’s easy
It's costly, but with diligent planning and savings, it is achievable. If a couple can save 50,000 a month, they can get one ivf cycle done in a year. Since it doesn't always work out on first attempt, they may need to keep repeating it until they get a take home baby.
Abroad, insurance pays for ivf up to 3 cycles. But this is Nigeria and they have to pay out of pocket and it's still possible
Health / Re: I Am AS And I Am Getting Married To AS by Goldie16(f): 6:12pm On Jun 04, 2020
U can definitely marry your lover and have healthy children that are not SS. It all boils down to careful planning.
Use contraceptives. Then, whenever you want to conceive, go to a fertility specialist. They'll explain to you how you can select only AA and AS embryos for your pregnancy. That's ivf. If you don't have money, you can start saving towards that.
Don't even think of natural conception, you may live to regret it. Try n use contraceptives.
