Better your RAS run continuously,though a few hours(if your long) wont impact much,but why increase your investment imput,when many are back to dripping or flowthrough system of fish farming? not at this period of high fuel cost & imaginary light. The more oxygen in your water,the more healthy & growth for your fishes. For a well built or constructed RAS, 6-8 litres per fish. You have the spongy,foam,screen biofilter etc.,talking about the filter element.

Nobody with enough water & good pump will waste funds for RAS.

Permit me to disagree, based on my personal experience. I have just used the 5000 liters to raise abt 750 fishes to table size. But based on ur calculation, i can only raise 250 melange fishes in the tank. KIndly review ur comment.and thanks for the response.

There is no how you would use 133 to raise a catfish to attain 1kg, even if you are using earthen pond. The best way to go is feed your fish quality feeds and you would get quality result without stressing yourself

SIR If you dont have steady water source ,then i recommend you use what i call a mini water recycle system and with 300 thousand u can have a capacity of 1000 fish to sell monthly .
