I pity for the Niger deltans. Ojukwu was crucified for doing what he thought was right then. Well, let's see how it goes. i think it's time we chase these parasites out of oil producing regions of Imo and Abia (South east).

No, never an insult to late Saro-wiwa. But Tompolo should beware, becos FG is cunning. He should not commit all himself to them.

PoliticsRe: MEND Say No More Ceasefire: by Goldmind1(m): 10:44pm On Oct 17, 2009
Well! well! I saw this coming!
History will show you cannot negotiate with a rebel movement through bribery. Most Mend fighters will get nothing from the deal and most will eventually return to what they know best "armed warfare". If you know the history of the area then you will realize the only solution is total warfare to crush the insurrection once and for all. Contrary to popular stories Mend area gets more money than any other part of nigeria.
The biggest problem in those areas are the so called kings and chiefs. It is the feudal system set up by the chiefs that is the worst. I have a feeling YARADUA IS A CUNNING guy and will finally onleash the military on these communities if hostility resumes. My prediction: The peace will not last and I expect hostilities to breakout soon. The militants have tasted money from kidnapping, bunkering, political blackmail and to stop now is unlikely. The money given by YARADUA is small compared to the income derived from these activities.
ALso understand we have "OYINBO" man in the WAHALA now. If you understand the OIL business then you know what i mean. When mend attacks, Oil prices go up and every movement in OIL prices is millions in someones pocket. Unless the nigerian govt. takes firm steps to crush this group once and for all, we might be on brink of nigeria splitting up.
Richcookie,
Don't u think that the FG using force on MEND could give opportunity to other regions of the country to break away. Remember that Nigeria just survived break up between 1967-1970 when they fought the civil war some 38 years ago, and till now the causes of that civil war have not been addressed. The Nigerian govt has never been serious and I think their time is up becos some countries are picking interest in the oil the ND.

Well, let's watch and see how it goes. US, UN and the international community are watching if the FG would use force so that they will come up with their solution becos the Nigerian nation has been known with a lot of violence, restiveness, corruption and high level of poverty.

MEND, Jomogbomo or Jomogbagba, Okah or whatever they call themselves should go to hell and rotten in hell infact let them do their worst stupid idiot. Are they better of than those who embrased peace and laid down there arms? Do MEND, Jomomadness or Okahcraze have two heads what are all these bastard thinking they are let them flex that muscle well and lets see who will loose at the end I am just extremely mad when I see people deciding to cause pain, tears, destructions to an innocent life and seen a citizen of a country allowing himself to be use to bring down his own country while those supporting them secretly are eating faty chicken and dwell in peace environment, cant Mend think, cant the so called Idiot Jomogbomo think or cant Okah think?. Is war or bloodshed a way of making a deal this is arrant nonsense please if they like let them go back to the bush or creek where they chosen to belong and begin to dwell with apes and monkeyes I think that suit them so much and good luck to them I had supported this struggle for long but after the government has laid low for peace to reign and swallow the hooks to make the government look weak and gave amnesty so whatelse are MENDor Jomo or Okah want I think they are waiting for the wrath of God upon them full stop enough is enough. They have decided to point to their fathers house with left finger then they should bear the price in full, what a nonsense, do they have other country to run to? You want development how will it come when you are attacking those who should have do the development and you said you are fighting for your right, what right? Foolish things.
From ur statement, I can infer that either u are from Northern Nigeria, hausa-fulani to be precise or u are close to those ruling class who have siezed the nation's resources. But I advise u to always study issues before talking.

PoliticsRe: MEND Say No More Ceasefire: by Goldmind1(m): 9:42pm On Oct 17, 2009
There is nothing inherently wrong with one Nigeria.

But there is everything wrong with one Nigeria when large tracts of the Southern population are feeling increasing alienated and marginalised.
The ND problem revolves around our federal structure. Rather than discuss the ND problem with MEND, who have gotten together a team of World class representatives (including Akhigbe and Soyinka), the FG has gone down the wrong path of threats, bribery (amnesty) and false propaganda.
We are told to blame our "leaders", as if we even know how FG implants like Ibori ever became our "leaders" (someone please tell me when we "voted" fairly). Aside from MEND and its ethnic affiliates, the ND has no voice.

We all love the idealistic one Nigeria concept, but very man, woman and child from the ND is deeply upset and there is no outlet. The Nigerian mentality is to push the smaller guy about, but anybody who knows the ND knows that folk here simply don't get pushed about; unlike in some regions, you can't threaten someone "I will slap you" if you aren't immediately ready and capable of carrying it out; we just don't think in that way and that is where the rest of the country gets this crisis so wrong. We are really tired and pushed to the wall. All the while, our people are killed like mere cockroaches by those who claim to be "fellow Nigerians", all for oil that does not serve either Nigeria or the ND; it is all stolen by ex-generals and the ruling class.

The way things are going, at some point the ND will form an army; it is beginning to look more definite with each passing day. All that needs doing, is stop Warri and PH functioning and the country will cease to function; then you can say bye bye to Nigeria.

The clock is ticking.
PoliticsRe: Can An Igbo Man Ever Rule Nigeria? by Goldmind1(m): 11:42pm On Oct 12, 2009
From what has been happening in Anambra politics for the past three months or thereabout over the State Governorship Election. The battle of the titans between Chekwas Okorie and Victor Umeh of APGA over leadership tussle and PDP bringing out forty Six candidates for primary.
If I may ask what can you read from this political scenario in Anambra State does it mean an average Igbo man is power crazy? Please my question is this, with all this happening can an Igbo man ever rule Nigeria?
You have really shown the FOOL you are. You are drawing your conclusion from the fact that Anambrarians have refused to give in to the corrupt PDP, that have swept most states in Nigeria via their rigging. What do you have to say about this? Nigeria has refused to work becos an Igbo man has not been allowed to take up the leadership. 2 of the so-called major ethnic groups have ruled and failed. Do you not think it needs an Igbo man to make the difference. Remove Igbos from Nigeria and businessses in Nigeria will surely colapse. This guys are the engine room when it comes to business. They are known for starting business from the scratch. Oh I pity this country and its deplorable economic condition.

Let me also inform you that Nigeria has been ruled with lies. Your president still promises 6000 megawatts in the next 2 months, where as there is nothing on groung to show for it. 7 point agenda without achieving any one of them in his 1st tenure, pepharps he may ask for 3rd term to fulfill them. LOL

2 solutions await Nigeria. Either true federalism (resource control, Sovereign National Conference or whatever you call it) or breaking up.

PoliticsRe: Fg Provides Heavy Security For Tompolo by Goldmind1(m): 10:46pm On Oct 10, 2009
Tompolo has reduced himself to a peanut. Someone that the FG was afraid of. Imagine Osama handing over himself to U.S. Tompolo has done the least thing I thought he would do.

I thought these Niger delta guys were serious when they started thios struggle. Was Tompolo afraid that FG would come and bomb his village? Did he not know that freedom demands a big sacrifice?

Nelson Mandela paid the sacrifice of staying in jail for 27 years before Southafrica could be free. Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu paid his own sacrifice of standing in for the civil war when the federal forces came to fight his region. And to prove him right, the Nigeria that the federal forces fought for has gotten worse than she was and is now a failed state.

O Tompolo and the Niger deltans, I thought you people were serious when u started this struggle. If you fail this time nobody will ever take you people serious again and you will end up being the minorities in Nigeria, where you are the treasure base (Monkey de work Baboo dey chop).

This is another point to show that the concept called Nigeria has failed.

Where is the STATE OF EMERGENCY your President declared on the power sector? He's still promising 6,000 megawatts in the next 2 months, where as there's nothing on ground yet.

He thinks the UN doesn't know that Nigeria is goverened with lies and fallacy.

I doubt serious if this man is from the south east. And the funniest thing is that he was never made a general after the civil war like his fellow co-fighters IBB, Abacha, OBJ, Abdusalem.

I would have called u ewu (GOAT). But I pray that God'll help you come to your senses.
PoliticsRe: Interview With Maj-Gen Cyril Iweze (re Samuel Doe/biafra Etc) by Goldmind1(m): 11:37pm On Oct 07, 2009
Iweze, so u helped the Hausa-fulani to fight against Biafra and they later settled u with Major general? Uptill now the Nigeria u and Gowon fought for is still in shambles. 39 years after the civil war, no steady electricity, no good road, the worst electoral system in the world, are these not signs of a failed country?

I know u should be regretting by now like Yakubu Gowon.

and notice that you even hate politics. All other posts were so
paedestrian and I will refuse to comment on them. In effect, i wish
to humbly ask you to do your homework before making outrageous
posts.

I also gone through the UN survey you made reference to and cannot trace
where the UN survey established your claims. You will realise that we have
an all encompassing leadership deficit in Nigeria. No doubt the figures are not
satisfactory. I want Nigeria to be number 1 and with your impatience and
demand for a faster pace you would too.

In any event, I do not see Nigeria moving at your pace because you have not
grasped the rudiments of assessment and enquiry to contribute meaningfully
achieve the speed you so desperately desire. You have been left behind already.
because you do not even know where oour problem lies.

CITIZENY, in your contribution you failed to state the pace at which your good for nothing Nigeria is moving.
