donphilopus:Yes! A tenant who packs out of the house after his rent expires without causing trouble, damaging property, making the house inhabitable or dragging the Landlord to court is a hero. Ask the people in Burundi and they will tell you how relevant and important packing out at the right time is... |
When even a governor is attending the naming ceremony of a baby mama child, what is the deterrent? As long as it's done by a celebrity, it's ok and alright. Na only God no dey look face ohhh... As far as humans, especially blacks and Nigerians are involved, wrong is a very relative word. |
I always knew that reason will prevail at the end of the day. The amendments were mostly personal and targeted at the person of GEJ. Now that he is no more, they should not because of their hatred for one person bring down the institution of the presidency. David Mark always knows how to calm a tense situation. Hopefully, the next senate president will be as matured. |
Audu Ogbeh already told Nigerians that the leaders of the #BringBackOurGirls campaign were members of the APC. I am not surprised. Oby will follow... |
It is totally wrong. At this stage, teachers should be able to identify leadership qualities in the pupils, select those that are capable and academically sound, let them go through an interview process and then appoint them. In some schools, the students are allowed to campaign. They print T-shirts, caps and other things to canvass votes. I have seen teachers wearing a t-shirt for a particular pupil seeking to be the head girl and all. What then happens to the children from indigent homes who though have leadership qualities, are unable to afford these campaign goodies? Even in my secondary school where I was the head boy, it was never about campaigning. It was about academic competence, leadership traits, and interview by the prefect selection committee. This is how the seed of stomach infrastructure is sowed in the hearts of these young kids. |
But APC and co told us that there was nothing like subsidy in the first place. How can they now turn around to claim the removal of what doesn't exist. In the coming days, propaganda that got them the post will give way to reality. |
FemiFaniKayode:Just like you also thought about it.... |
OP, u can lie... |
How many of such assassination have occurred under Goodluck's government? |
Moderator, I request that the OP should be sanctioned for passing false information capable of causing chaos. And if what I am about to say is found to be wrong, I should be banned for life from this forum. What Sambo said was that God purposely created us as Muslims and Christians to live together. He then went on to mention certain countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan and co that are predominantly Muslim. To buttress this point, he said even the presidential candidate of APC has chosen a Christian that controls over 5,000 churches as running mate. This was to show that Christians and Muslims had always worked together. He further sighted instances where even military leaders had Christian deputies and all. The message ended with a note of caution that; those currently using religion to divide the people should not be listened to. Nowhere did Sambo say that because the man has 5,000 churches, they should not vote for them. This claim by the OP is blatantly false, malicious, sinister and out to cause chaos. |
fkaz:It's clear you don't understand hausa and have deliberately decided to mis-inform the gullible public with your lies. Namadi was saying that, Christians and Muslims were destined to live in Nigeria, that's why you always have the two religion featuring on a ticket. He said it was because of this fact that Buhari has a running mate who is a pastor and controls about 500parishes. This was necessary because in the north, they have made the election to look like a battle between Muslims and Christians. If you listened to Sule Lamido yesterday, you would have heard how terrible the situation is. In all you do, please don't lie to mis-inform people. |
Under normal circumstances, are people not supposed to be at liberty to worship freely? We should be ashamed that something as fundamental as worship requires protection. I may have to disagree with those who see this as commendable.... |
Somethings are just logical. Imagine going out for a date, only for the rain to begin in the middle of nowhere while waiting for a drop/bus. Someone won't have a job to cater adequately for himself and will be thinking of babe and all... Let's forget this theory of starting with nothing and all that crap. The world has evolved and you can no longer play love on an empty wallet. Certain things are just basic, one of which is mobility. Except you are dating one bushmo or local girl.... |
Sincerely speaking, who can honestly say he hears what GMB says whenever he is either talking or reading a speech? I hardly hear him. That debate that was aired between himself, Ribadu and Shekarau, Shekarau was clearly ahead on all fours. Eloquence, articulate presentation, ideas and even plans. GMB has more people talking for him than he can ever do for himself. Atiku is even a more eloquent speaker IMHO... |
This is a very disturbing situation that requires very urgent intervention. The Nigeria consulate in the US is stealing passport of infant Nigeria - American citizens when sent for visa. My wife and baby were due back to Nigeria and had to send the boy's American passport to the Nigeria consulate for the visa. You won't believe that when they came for the passport, they said it was missing and that was that. Flights had to be rescheduled and all. All my life, I have never heard where an embassy says an applicant's passport was missing. I believe strongly that someone there stole the passport for other reasons. Though the situation has been reported officially, I am bringing this up so that we can collectively deal with this issue. |
Nigerians never fail to amaze me. A man who had long left the PDP and just decided to make it official is surprising only to the politically naive. Even PDP had long removed him from their protocol list. They usually skip the speaker for the deputy speaker. If it was the deputy speaker or Obj that decamped, that would have been rightly termed breaking news. We knew this all along.... |
Policewoman:Some people wept on national TV and promised never to contest elections again. For your information, those people have found a reason to renege on that pledge and tears. Obi has done nothing out of the ordinary. |
monsuru560: [size=20pt]I AM VERY SURE YOU ARE FAR FROM BEEN A FATHER. MAYBE A PRODUCT OF A DISJOINTED HOME WHERE BEATING PREGNANT WOMEN ISN'T AN OFFENCE. YOU SHOULD BE HEAVILY ASHAMED OF YOURSELF. |
With questions like this, we now know why gas pipes buried 9ft under the ground were vandalized and destroyed. We know oil bunkerers will go and sell the stolen crude. But to vandalize a gas pipe line that carries gas that can't be scooped only shows sabotage. Now that you guys have sabotaged the effort to power the turbines, you come here to ask a question for which you already know the answer. As I said in a Facebook post, God will visit all those dragging this nation back either through sabotage, terrorist financing, terrorist support or sympathy. The day of reckoning is fast approaching. |
In terms of the credibility of elections, neither the 2003 nor the 2007 elections can compare with what GEJ has conducted. Just ask yourself how many elections have been annulled by the courts, compared to previous ones and you get your facts. Elections are now more than ever, reflecting the wishes of the people. We now see that incumbency has lost its over exaggerated stature. In Imo, Nassarawa, Oyo, Ogun and Ekiti, we have all seen ruling parties and incumbents losing elections. Even international observers have acknowledged this laudable development. |
I was in Ghana recently to write the PMP exam which had been cancelled in Nigeria for "administrative" reasons. The professionalism, thorough security checks and high degree of respect exhibited by the managers in the center left me awed. Though I had never visited a prometric center in Nigeria, I doubt if ours before the ban was as organized as this. I still think the organizers of our own prometric centers should work assiduously towards lifting the ban. It is now very expensive to take any prometric test as you must factor the cost of transportation, feeding and accommodation for at least, 2 nights. Thank God I passed. I want those that have been to Ghana for any prometric test to share their experiences. Happy new year all. |
@ OP, this is a tremendously educative post. But it's not enough to know the dangers, what is the best way out of this disorderly and spiritually dwarfing behaviour? |
Hello all, I was scheduled to take the PMP Prometric certification test on the 9th. I however got a message on Sunday postponing the test due to the administrative closure of all Pro metric centres in Nigeria. I called their customer care and I was told to reschedule to Ghana or Benin Republic. They said all SAT, GRE, GMAT, TOEFL and all are equally affected. Is there anyone with similar experience in the house? Moderator, please move to front page, I need help badly!!!!! |
Yes, Purgatory exist. The existence of Purgatory is a testament to the inexhaustible mercy of God. 1John,5:17 says, all wrong doing is sin, but there is sin that does not lead to death. For sure, we know when the Bible talks about death, it's not physical death, but eternal damnation. The question then becomes; those who commit the sin that does not lead to eternal damnation, where do they go? In justice, God will not condemn a man who stole food to survive and the one who massacred several innocent babies to the same judgement. At the same time, the eyes of God are so holy that they cannot behold the slightest of sins. Purgatory is therefore the place where those category of persons who commit those sins not leading to death go for cleansing before they see God. It is in this vain that the Catholic Church teaches about mortal and venial sins. All sins that offend against the 10 commandments are mortal. If you claim that all sins are the same, it means that you are telling us that God is no longer a just God. |
Like Menelaus said to Helen of Troy as he was about to kill the wife snatcher; prince Harry, is this what you left me for? I ask Nigerians today, is this what we want to replace PDP with? |
Greed, pride and ambition are the 3 factors seriously militating against Church unity. Because Martin Luther, not the American one, could not understand certain teachings of the Catholic Church, he broke away to firm the Lutheran Church of Christ (LCCN). King Henry VIII wanted to divorce his wife Catherine of Aragon to marry Anne Boleyn and the Catholic Church would not grant a divorce, he founded the Church of England popularly called Anglican today. That has been the history of diluted doctrine and proliferation of money spinning businesses you call church. The true Church has the four qualities ; it is one, it is holy, it is catholic and apostolic. You can research the origin and history of the church for more information. |
My only wish is that someone who knows Tinubu will do him a huge favour by drawing his divided attention to the comments on this thread. They live under the illusion that whatever they say, no matter how silly is swallowed warts and all. |
I again find myself weeping for the low level of intellectual engagement of the Nigeria youth. The question we should ask is this; if a building was meant for purpose A, and the owner, without doing the needful changes the purpose, should it be allowed? Maitama is a highbrow area and most definitely, a political office will increase both people and vehicular traffic around the area thereby interrupting the peace and serenity of the residence. These guys know this for sure. But because the want to mop up sentiments from the largely ignorant public, they deliberately do the wrong things to appear as victims when the law takes it course. People like us will never be deceived. Why was the government house not sealed up since? Because no law was infringed upon. As soon as they did however, the authorities had to act. |
My Father's house of worship has become a den of thieves. Stealing in the name of the Lord! This is the state of most churches today. |
If this is true, we must begin mass sensitization. The last time an eclipse occurred, a number of innocent people were killed in some northern cities on the allegations that it was their sins that was causing the eclipse. Some of us cannot believe the level of crass ignorance that still thrives in this modern day and age. |
The topic is misleading. If Boko haram killed 5 worshippers and JTF killed 15, how come about this heading? |
And yet, some people would have the obscene temerity to compare the product from this squalid conditions with those from private universities. How can the product of these dustbins, when they get to leadership positions appreciate the need for functioning infrastructure? |
