good or bad God is there to judge. though everyone will go someday... even if your enemy dies 2day, it shouldnt b your joy. i repeat don't speak evil about the dead.
May she rest in peace.
I don't think anyone in here is rejoicing about Stella's death, neither do I think anyone has spoken evil about her. cool

hey c'mon, u dont need to spend money to be a witch. It's a free "organization" where ur family members are demanded in return for ur commitment with them grin

All I'm trying to let u all know is that witchcraft exists but I can never practise it because there's nothing to gain from it, instead, you have a lot to loose.

Remember, the devil is out to kill, steal and destroy. So the best thing is to flee from the Devil to God and he'll flee from you.

Now you're making full sense. But then, don't think people are not working towards making Nigeria a better place. A lot of people (including me) have plans for this country.

Talking abt the NEPA thingy, we aint talking about bills now. In Nigeria, you pay exhorbitant bills yet, u are supplied light for just 6 hrs (out of 24 hrs) per day. Now, when a time comes for you to do something important, maybe a party, you need to pay extra bills (bribe) to prevent them from taking off the light during the show. So tell me, what do u call that?

Of course, well all know most faults are from the government. But then, if we wait for the government to fix things for us, Nigeria will remain stagnant for life.

The man who introduced microsoft for the whole world to use isn't part of the government. He's just an independent man who locked himself up in a room for 6 months trying to find a solution to America and the rest of the world's problems.; which of course was a success.

Nigerians can do better!! cool

nferyn:
That's a gross misrepresentation of my position (if you're addressing me, of course wink ). I do believe though that the focus on witchcraft and other supernatural nonsense is using up precious resources that could be put to positive use.

Your statement about India doesn't mean anything as it stands. Try to substantiate your position by being precise instead of throwing around generalizations. What do you mean by technologically most advanced? How does that relate to witchcraft? Where is the causal relationship? And even if you could establish that relationship, how does that have anything to do with Nigeria?

If you can elaborate on that , than you have a position to start arguing from. If not, the statement is free of content, redundant to the highest degree.
What I mean by technologically advanced is not something I feel I should explain. That's self-explanatory on it's part.

I am not relating technology to witchcraft in any way. You said that it is due to our believe in witchcraft that's making us backward; which probably means u are talking of our economic depression, which includes lack of sound technology in the nation.

This exactly is my point. cool

Jeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzz!!! shocked shocked

I ain't poor. We live very very comfortably in my family. I don't need her money or anything. What does "having an impact on my life" have to do with me wanting her money? My God!!! your post is irrtating me real bad!!! You sound like a kid, honestly!!!

I know for sure that she impacted so many lives. But why should I be claiming what is not when I never even knew about her activities when she was alive. All i know is that she used to attend board meetings and she established an organization and she used to travel abroad. So tell me, how does that have an impact on my life??!!

Please tell me how I've complicated and implicated myself!!! And tell me what makes me an "ignorant dude".

Man, don't force venom out of my mouth or else, u aint going to like yourself (case closed). I think the rest of this matter should be settled in pm.

I feel you man.

damygurl:
i've walked isale eko and none of my stuff was stolen. maybe u've just been not so very lucky to meet d good guyz.
Probably u have been so lucky to have been meeting the goodguys. Have u ever gone to a place like Ikeja/Oshodi where u see guys (touts) approach you to give them your belongings. If you refuse, then u are doomed. You'll be beaten black and blue then your belongings will be seized too.

damygurl:
hello who r u to judge people DAT they can't change.
Read my post again. I said, "But I believe the story is going to change one day.". Please always read well before responding to people's posts.

damygurl:
u do know that d people who offer bribes r part of d people corrupting d country. if d rich peeps don't offer bribes then d poor ones who collect them won't be able to thereby stoping another form of corruption.
I really don't blame your ignorance since u aren't in Nigeria. Things have changed here. These days, it's the poor ones that demand for bribes from the rich ones. Moreover, he was talking about NEPA. Why on earth should NEPA ask u to bring some amount of money just to supply you light? Doesn't that show corruption?

damygurl:
if u have Ur grade u gon get to college. All my friendz r in college and they didn't grease any elbow. d onez that didn't get in 4 one reason or d other waited and sat 4 d exam again d next year dats not to say people people don't buy results.
who's gon pay 250,000 to get to college? not some poor dude 4 sure.
As I said, U arent here so u don't know how things operate here. Moreover i don't think you read my post well. I said, "If you write UME and you don't score up to the cut-off mark, just make sure you have your N250,000 and go to UNILAG or LASU. Your admission there will be guaranteed." Of course if you have your grades, u are going to enter a university. Though, that's if your grades/scores have not been tampered with before they get to you. Tell me, what do u say to this one: it's in Nigeria u hear mostly that people buy results of examinations that they didnt even sit for. huh

damygurl:
All d Nigerians I've met r nice people who've never committed no crime if u don't count d stupid stuff they did as kids which is normal 4 all kids at their age.
So u mean u've not heard of or seen one Nigerian that has ever committed a crime? Anywayz, come to Nigeria, especially Lagos and go inside any Internet cafe. I assure you, out of 10 people in there, 5 of them will be scammers.

Gurl, let's not deceive ourselves. You arent in this country and u don't know what's operating. Stop arguing with those of us that sleep, wake, eat, play and work in Nigeria. We sure know better about what's going on than those of you abroad. Nigeria is truely one of the most corrupt nations in the world.

If you go to classified sites these days, u'll see so many sellers that will boldly put in front of their items==> NO NIGERIA, NO WEST AFRICA, NO AFRICA. Any day you have the time to really surf the net, check foreign forums on crimes. Every single person will definitely mention Nigeria.

tamia and odeku, sorry no beefs here, but are u both drunkhuh (pardon my language please undecided).

Especially u tamia, what did u drink/eat before posting that you couldn't see all what I've typed previously?

tamia:
this is so ignorant i think no matter how bad a person is or even if the person made no impact on your life i think the dead require some respect or a lil' bit of pity! i think no matta the case u could at least say may her soul rest in peace!
On the first page of this topic, I said, "This is indeed a black day for Nigeria... May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace."

tamia:
what planet do u live on Mr goodguy?
I live on the same planet on which Nairaland was established.

tamia:
it won't cost u a dime! put yourself in her place n someone said somethin' like that 2 your soul!
You even quoted me where I said, "I really feel for her and her family", yet you still posted like your eyes were closed while typing. The fact that I aint bothered about her death doesn't mean I don't care.

Please go check your dictionary for the meaning of "bothered". undecided

Odeku:
STOP THE Rumors please, No one know for a fact what kill that lady. the autopsy has not been release, don't follow the press, they will make and they will kill you, paparazzi will say any thing to get paid or look good.
who are u referring to please?? huh rolleyes
