You know why these guys feel free and lively to insult Obi? Majority of them are still being fed by their parents and guardians. They don't feel the current hardship. A room mate was found of eating and clearing everything in the plate. If he ate rice you won't know what exactly he used the plate to eat. No grain of rice will remain. I would tell him and he would laugh at me and call me oyinbo boy. He would even tease me with it We used to laugh over it. His fiance's cousin came from UK one day and he and his fiance went to greet him. They had to travel to Ilorin from Ibadan. In the evening when they came. It was from the corridor my guy started shouting my name. "Kunle, kunle, you told me I never listened" I was on bed relaxing. "What happened?" "Ah I disgraced myself today" "What's it?" I was eager to hear the jist. His woman was laughing like kilode. Then, he told me the story. At Ilorin where they've gone to greet the UK based in-law to be, other guests met them there and it was time to eat lunch with the UK guy. Everyone sat at the dining table. Food was served and my friend as usual cleared the plate. No grain of rice was left. You won't know what he ate if you were not there when he was eating. The UK guy called his maid. "Jumoke, bring more food for Kunmi (real name) " "Bros, I'm okay," he said sincerely. "You're okay? No! It can't be, and you cleared the plate like this? This is a sign that you need more food. If you do that overseas they'll serve you more food. That's not good enough," the Londoner said. He said everyone at the table could not hold the laughter that followed the comment. He felt embarrassed. And so since that day he changed. NEVER clear plate in public. You can be doing it at home. But it's not good outside. |

Be careful of Nigeria women overseas. Especially Yorùbá women. I am Yorùbá so don't think I'm Tribalistic. They threaten their husbands with women rights abroad. They can send you out of the house you bought with your own money. They can send you back home through immigration though you are the one that brought them over.
