The shortlisted 1000 persons are expected to visit Yala Local Government Area Council for documentation. They are to go along with two passports, BVN and a valid means of identification.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Caretaker Committee Chairman and governor of Yobe State, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni on Sunday in Abuja received the party’s Cross River North Senatorial candidate, Chief Joe Agi, SAN in his residence.

With the candidate were the Cross River State APC Caretaker Committee Chairman, Senator Mathew Mbu JNR and Prince Goddy Jedy Agba, OFR, Minister of Power, ( State).

The visit is to officially present Joe Agi to the National Chairman as the duly elected APC standard bearer for Cross River North senatorial district in the forthcoming By-Election.

Expressing delight with the emergence of His Excellency, Mai Mala Buni as the National Chairman Committee Chairman of the APC, Agi used the occasion to congratulate him while equally appreciating the good people of CR-North on the peaceful conduct of the Senatorial primaries election.

“As politicians, we must salvage this process called politics; we must get involve and rescue it for the good of our people by giving it a colour of decency, and maturity,” Agi said.

The APC National Chairman , Mai Mala Buni said the focus of the APC is centred on delivering on election promises; primarily on sustainable legislation for the masses, job creation, agriculture, education, ICT development, capacity building, skills acquisition etc etc. the good people of CR-North on the peaceful conduct of the Senatorial primaries election.

BREAKING NEWS: The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has shortlisted names of candidates for the forthcoming Cross River Senatorial Bye Electrons billed to take place on the 31st October, 2020. The list which was released earlier today was without a candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) as their matter was still in court.

It might interest you to know that Rt. Hon. Jarigbe Agom, a member of the House of Representatives for Ogoja/Yala federal constituency who participated in the party's primaries had taken the party (PDP) to court for what he described as injustice meted on him.

The Federal High Court, Portharcourt ordered INEC not to shortlist any candidate's name for PDP pending the determination of the case.

With the recent development, it might appear that the candidate for the All Progressive Congress (APC), Joe Agi SAN will be coasting to victory.

Your analysis is so poor. Yala has had senate seat for several years under PDP with little or nothing to show. Jedy Agba is in control of Obudu as Ayade lacks the popularity to attract votes to PDP. Ogoja will vote massively for Joe Agi as a revenge to what Ayade did to their son. The votes in Bekwarra and Obanliku will be evenly shared! Joe Agi SAN will emerge victorious in this elections
