Good evening everyone..please can they mix soligum, kerosene and condemned engine oil to paint the roofing wood?..urgent please..they want to do it tomorrow.. thanks. |
AsomArchitectNG:I like this! Sir please be putting cost .please sir. |
House please does anyone knows the current price for stone coated roof and is there a way to know the original black stone coated roof? Please help.. |
AsomArchitectNG:Okay sir, thanks, this was the exact figure I paid my capenter and iron bender inclusive for my parapet work..180k..do you think 180k will be fair to also pay for just woodwork of a 5 bedroom..I will also do my findings though..thanks a lot sir. |
AsomArchitectNG:Sir is it possible to know the labour fee for the woodwork? Please. |
AsomArchitectNG:Okay noted, I got my answer sir..nice job. |
AsomArchitectNG:Really a good job you did sir, please I have a question, for the woodwork, is the 896,000k for all of the building on site or just for the main building? Thanks sir. |
money121:please sir, how do they go about roofing? I have a 5 bedroom already at roofing level, I want to do this stone coated roofs..I have some money but I doubt if it will complete all of the roofing work..is it possible I get only the woods for now and later get roofing sheets? And also do I go to a capenter to get woods and then find a roofing company for the sheets…? Please help me sir..my location is port harcourt. |
Badgers14:That is the world we live in now..but thankfully no house has collapsed “yet”..lol, for the past 10 years I have been here..In God we trust. |
baaliyah:my thoughts exactly..I reassure myself with the thought that it’s because the dams were opened reason it got this bad, lol, flood does not affect these part of town normally..it has never been like this before, so hopefully it will remain dry as long as the dams are closed..my place was way better, we could still access the roads and drive in and out or use bikes..most streets are still making use of canoe as of this moment and some water covered to the windows and some roofs..in all God go help us. |
hamtabfawaz:It was a wise decision, every of my neighbors packed out..water entered inside their house..this was 4 days ago, but the water is receding now..thankful.
|
topsy23:yes o..it was at same level with the road, but I had worries for the future and I told them to add more blocks on top..so it was way higher than the road..wasn’t easy as 10 tiers of tipper sand sells for 34k over here..I bought 40 trip of the 10 tiers.
|
Rapunzel403:I posted some pictures sir, I don’t know it they will help your questions, but we did not do German floor, i intend to still do it sha..here is a picture so you can see for yourself the amount of blocks Oh I think you meant in total, I can’t really tell..I am not a very careful person..but we molded about 90 bags of cement,(a bag for 4100) with each bag producing 35 blocks..it was enough till lintel and few left .
|
KolaShangOne:I really didn’t know anything about German flooring till I began searching on properties on nairaland, I nor even know say section for buildings dey nairaland..so to your question, all the houses over here are built without German floor,to be fair “all I have seen here”, so I guess the engineer just went with what’s rampant..I already told him to include iron rods and the black waterproof( I found that out from here) when we plan to floor the grounds.. he said it wasn’t necessary but I insisted o…though we chained the whole buildings round, both inside and outside before filling with sand.
|
Joniww:it is a 5 bedroom bungalow, spent more than 5million , minus the land… filling of foundation alone with sand cost me 1.3million. |
money121:Omo,you did a really neat and pretty job Sir, this is a smart way to go about it..price wise and work wise, it’s a smart work. |
KolaShangOne:All good . |
topsy23:No it’s not sir. |
I went to my site today..flood enter inside the house of those around me..it entered my compound but did not enter the house..when I did the high foundation way above the road , the neighbors said I shouldn’t had, as flood doesn’t get to the area, but this one taught everyone a lesson. I think high foundations should be done more in Nigeria.
|
money121:Sir , you mean this parapet is aluminum? The steps and the whole parapet? |
House please help, look at the casting of my ongoing parapet.. I posted the form work some pages back..we began casting , please I am kind of young and these guys(engineer and workers) don’t like hearing or taking my words..I usually need to shout and insist before they hear me..they claim to know it all better than me…so Abeg house help and look at these work.
|
KolaShangOne:please sir.. what are runners? |
Hello everyone, I greet ..please you guys should help me look and observe this work, parapet is where I am at with my project. Rods are 12mm at 4200naira and 8mm at 2200naira..please just look and let me know if there is any advice..thanks.
|
topsy23:I really don’t know o, but he mentioned doing what’s important for now and once we roof we can finish up, so with that I think maybe it’s not full conduit.. |
oduncojamaica:I felt so too, but the electric guy said it would require more cracking and breaking of the parapet lintel..since we haven’t cast the parapet yet he said it’s best we install the piping inside the “parapet lintel”reinforcement woodwork and then cast around it. We have already done normal lintel, and he said he would have to crack that which isn’t too nice and neat..so best we install pipes now before casting of parapet. |
KolaShangOne:thanks sir. |
Hello , please this is the floor plan for an on going project..electrical guy gave me this list for just sorting out the pipes that wire would go through in the walls..we are about to do parapet..he gave his workmanship as 50k but we price to 40k..is he fair.. Ps..In his favour though, he is really good at his job.
