Igbo claimed they are the ones that are developing us and we said that don't develop us again. all of a sudden they are crying.
They should go back to their war torn region that is full of pain and agony; we are tired of their criminal lifestyle here. Port harcourt, delta, bayelsa and all oil producing states will make laws about their natural resources...the north will make laws about their resources too...every state will make their own laws...but those who will suffer the consequences are not Igbos which is your target...those who will suffer are those from poor states like Gombe, jigawa, yobe, etc...the igbos survive mostly on commerce, so having natural resources is not even a concern to them as their natural resources are yet to be tapped. Then dangote will be forced to close his refinery because those oil producing states will surely retaliate and the condition may be that if you need our oil, bring the refinery to us... THE CAN are not decieved, they prayed and preached against it but they don't have the power and the population to change it.
Peter Obi has also call on church to take back Nigeria. but it's so unfortunate that the thing is not getting attention like El rufai speech.
If A Muslim politicians said what Peter Obi said. christians would have trended it more than how it was.
Be it Muslims or Christians, What we all want is betterment of Nigeria, where everyone will see each other as brothers and sisters.
Me personally, I'm tired of all this religion emotional propaganda mostly from the Christians.
You guys are using christian-Christian in the south but don't want Northern governors to use Muslim-Muslim. This one just returned from exile People are talking about the muslim muslim ticket of the presidency that affects all and your are masturbating about northern governors...who cares about northern governors ? Vivianat: A 38-year-old man, Raphael Agu, has been remanded in the Ikoyi Custodial Centre, Lagos State, for alleged murder.
Agu was brought before a Magistrates’ Court sitting in Yaba Lagos on Tuesday on two counts of murder.
The defendant was accused of allegedly stabbing his friend, Stanley Ugo, in the stomach with a knife on May 25, 2023, during a fight in the Ogudu area of the state.
According to the prosecution, the defendant was given N15,000 by a developer erecting a building around the Transformer Bus Stop in the Ogudu area of the state, to share among the area boys, which he did.
However, the deceased and one other, after a while came to the defendant claiming that he did not share the money equally and in the cause of the argument, a fight erupted.
The defendant, in the cause of the fight, was said to have retrieved a knife and stabbed the deceased in the stomach.

Business › The Implication Of A Devalued Naira by Goodman2023(op): 11:10pm On Jun 02, 2023 |
When a currency loses value, people's purchasing power declines as well because products — especially imported ones — cost more money. And when that causes a general rise in prices, it's called inflation.
On 1st June 2023, Daily Trust Newspaper reported that on 31st May 2023, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) sold dollars to bidders at the Importers and Exporters (I&E) window at the rate of N631 per $1.”
This article is to examine in a simple form what a Devalued Naira will mean to the Nigerian Economy, especially on the purchasing power of the masses.
If the CBN devalued naira from 461.6 to 631... it means one dollar equals 631.
It is already a known fact that nigeria imports more than 50% of what she consumes.
Imagine an importer who imports 100 units of an item for 10,000 dollars. That means the importer pays 4,616,000 naira (461.6*10,000=4,616,000) for 100 units of that item.
With devaluation of the naira to 631, that same importer will pay 6,310,000 naira (631*10,000=6,310,000) to import same 100 units of that item.
And you expect the importer to sell at the old price ?
The bottom line is that the importer will pay more naira for a dollar, and the final consumer will pay more naira to purchase that item from the importer. Don't forget that salaries still remain the same, even the so-called minimum wage cannot full my fuel thank.
These are some of the items nigeria imports:
Steel, Textile, Plastics, Cereal, Glass, Metal, Fertilizer, Cotton, Silk, Cork, Sugar, Wheat, Woven fabric, Motorcycle, Copper, Electronics, Nickel, Petroleum, Iron.
Finally, devaluation reduces the cost of a country's exports, rendering them more competitive in the global market, which, in turn, increases the cost of imports. If imports are more expensive, domestic consumers are less likely to purchase them, further strengthening domestic businesses. But over the years, the CBN had on different occasions devalued the naira but I am yet to see where it actually strengthened domestic businesses. |

They will no longer exchange for profit because their reward is in heaven... Let me educate your ass. CBN devalued naira from 461.6 to 631... meaning one dollar equals 631. I will give you the simplest example that even those with fish brains can understand. It is already a known fact that nigeria imports more than 70% of what she consumes. Imagine an importer who imports 100 units of an item for 10,000 dollars. That means the importer pays 4,616,000 naira (461.6*10,000=4,616,000) for 100 units of that item. With devaluation of the naira to 631, that same importer will pay 6,310,000 (631*10,000=6,310,000) to import the same 100 units of that item. And you expect the importer to sell at the old price ? Don't forget that salaries still remain the same, even the so-called minimum wage cannot full my fuel thank. These are some of the items nigeria imports: Steel Textile Plastics Cereal Glass Metal Fertilizer Cotton Silk Cork Sugar Wheat Woven fabric Motorcycle Copper Electronics Nickel Petroleum Iron Some of you have been blinded by religion, ethnicity and tribe so I don't expect my analysis to make sense to your already dead sentimental brain |
