Politics › Re: I Am Igbo But I Fully Condemn The Activity Of Unknown Gunmen. by goodnessme1(f): 10:10am On Apr 27, 2021 |
Rich4god: First of all, I want to believe that these UGM are different from ESN. Probably they are a bunch of criminals that emanated of recent in the east. But if UGM are same with ESN, then seriously, they are not doing the right thing. You dont go about killing innocent officers in the name of agitation.
These officers are more or less our brothers, they are just hustling like every other person just that their line of wrk is different. So why kill them in the name of agitation. I hope we all know how Boko Haram started. After they finished killing officers, they turned on non indigenes now every civilian up north is a potential target. Let UGM not turn out to be like BH. After targeting officers, who else will the target. Even if Nigeria is going to divide, we still need the present day setting of Nigeria to be intact for efficient trading and business. A lot of Igbo have businesses outside the East. So UGM not use this attacks and stir up confusion everywhere to the extent that the igbos will be made to leave other region and return back home. That is not what we wish and pray for.
Those of us who are supporting the action of UGM should think twice. Nobody is better of dead. And on a second note, all these stations that they are attacking and burning down, if we actualize our own country, its not out of place to use that station as our own police formation. So why destroy them now.
If am in the helm of power. I will give the police officers in the East a compulsory 6 months leave. Then vacate and disarm all stations in the east except for state HQ. And that state HQ will hold a surprise for anyone that feels he will want to attack it. Am sure when the UGM have no other place to attack, when they start attacking the citizens, by then they will be ready to resist the movement of UGM.
But one thing that baffle me is, how come in all these attack against police and army, non of the UGM have been gunned down or arrested. We need to knw their identity. At least, we have seen ESN in videos and so we know how they dress. Probably arresting on of the UGM will lead us to know who they are or if they are same with ESN. First you are not Igbo. Second Ipob and ESN have made it clear that they are not unknown gun men. Thirdly this guys below would have prefer to die while fighting Terrorist in uniform, instead of been killed just for doing peaceful protest..

Whether you like it or not, Uzodinma would complete his first term as a governor...
And if you people like, continue causing mayhem in the state.
A state that hardly have new development but you people want to de destroying the little ones available.
Do you know how long it would take investors to trust the security issues in Imo before investing in the state...
You guys are not doing Uzodinma or Apc , you are only doing yourself Lover of Imo and Igbos |

obynzo: 20 pounds cannot buy you a bike in the first place then. Talkless of a truck or even to rent a shop and stock it for a business at that time. My guy a lot of lies were told by the FG on this policy and that of the starvation policy that was one reason Awolowo was stoned in Aba when he came to campaign in 1975 Was the 20pounds not only to those that could bring evidence that they have money in bank before the war. Why the noise. Did they share every Igbo 20pounds? |

theTranslator: give me evidence anybody can claim anything and it could be an isolated case But the 20pounds was not given to every Igbo but only to those that could bring evidence that they have money in bank before the war. Which we know that only few people could do that because of destruction of building and properties. So why the Noise about 20pounds. |

Newzik: I want to beg Nigerian youths irrespective of ideology or agitation to have sympathy on Nigerian policemen and the soldiers. I weep each time a policeman or a soldier is killed. It is not their fault that Nigerian citizens have turned wildly against this clueless and insensitive government. It's zombie work they're doing and they have to obey every command. Some officers may not wish to carry out the foolish order but due the nature of the job, they don't have option. Many women are becoming widows and thousands of children orphans. Who will train them? This is causing more havoc. Please, don't kill policemen, soldiers or any Nigerian security official no matter the anger. Nigeria is bleeding badly already with the blood of the innocent. It's the fault of the irresponsible and failed APC government not the soldiers or police brainwashed to protect or unite a dangerously scattered federal republic. Nigeria now is a broken bottle and the security are pushed to repair it. I wish the officers will learn and stop wasting their lives because everybody is angry with Nigeria. Remember, they're our brothers, don't kill a security official! If only you preach this when they were killing unarmed innocent Igbo youths. These guys blow would wished to have die while fighting, than been killed for doing peaceful protest.

Politics › Ikonso: Is Nigerian Army Grossly Overrated? by goodnessme1(op): 11:28pm On Apr 26, 2021 |
News broke yesterday of the killing of an ESN commander Ikonso and "six others". But Beneath the media sensation which expectedly followed lies the question of competence of Nigeria armed forces.
It was initially reported that the ESN commander and six of his men were killed in an ESN base during a raid by the police, with the police incurring no loss. This would have been a fair win from the police to me.
But later it was learnt that it was actually a combined special force operation from Army, police , DSS, Irt from Abuja that lead the ambush operation in which only two ESN men were killed and several security operatives including police and army were killed by few ESN men. The army initially denied casualty but has now admitted it lost four men . Considering the low pedigree of our armed forces when it comes to transparency, the figures could be close to ten men as claimed by people on ground, not including security officers killed during reprisals yesterday. The worrying part is that the military hierarchy are celebrating when actually they incurred more loss. Note these were almost the best guys drawn from our security agents. Note also that the killed guy has been contacted by the Governor to head the SE vigilante ebubeagu, which made his identity vulnerable to attack. If the prevailing celebration mood of our military hierarchy truly reflect their mindset despite loosing more men and risk of heavy escalation, it means they are fighting a war in which army will most likely be overwhelmed in the nearest future.
